Chapter 21 Stupid Boggarts

When Nancy arrived at the infirmary, Madam Pomfrey had already bandaged him.

"I must write to my dad! Tell him to fire that Hagrid! How dare he let his ugly monsters hurt me!" Draco said viciously.

"It's all my fault, if you don't call me over..." Nancy felt that Draco was injured because of herself.

"It's none of your business... If you don't call you over, you might get hurt. Those beasts are aggressive at first sight. I'll make that stupid guy pay the price!" Draco said coldly.

For the next week, the two colleges were at each other's throats. Both felt that it was the other's fault.

In Potions class, Draco would always ask Harry or Ron to handle the ingredients for him.Snape always said yes.Because in his opinion, Harry should serve everyone.

At this time, Nancy silently exchanged the materials she had processed with Draco's.

"Your arm is already healed, Malfoy!" Harry couldn't bear it anymore.

"If you take the initiative and go faster, you won't need Nancy to work two jobs." Draco gave him a very arrogant look.

Harry lowered his head and chopped hard at his cannibal root.

After dinner, Nancy came to the door of the potion office. Unlike usual, she seemed to hear that there was another person inside. There was an unfriendly conversation between them.Snape's tone can be said to be vicious, and this tone has only been used on Harry.

She still wanted to hear it more clearly, so she leaned close to the door, and the door opened. She stared at the man in amazement, it was Professor Lupine.

"Ah! You're James and Lily's daughter, Nancy, right?" Lupine looked at her in surprise, and then murmured as if lost in memory, "It's like yesterday, you really look like . …”

"We all know who she looks like, Lupine!" Snape interrupted gruffly. "You can go! If it wasn't for Dumbledore I wouldn't have survived for you..." Looking at Nan Hope's curious eyes, he said coolly, "Solve your troubles, little potion!"

"Then I'll leave it to you, Snape." Lupine looked at him and said kindly.

Then he gave Nancy a complicated look, nodded, turned and left.

"What did you promise to cook for him?" Nancy asked as she stepped into the office.

"It will allow him to stay in this school safely." The tone was still cool.

"What?" Nancy didn't understand.

"As I said, you are not allowed to wander around the castle after dark! Just stay in the dormitory." Snape said impatiently.

"I didn't wander around! Didn't I come to you? The dormitory is so boring!" Nancy opened her eyes wide and argued.

Snape's eyes softened a little, "Since you are energetic, help me sort out the toad grass, and tie a bundle of seven."

"Sounds like someone who came to you for detention." Nancy walked over to a large pile of grass that looked like mint leaves and bent down.

"If you are in confinement, you should squeeze the toad gland fluid." Snape pouted and sat back at the table to correct his homework.

Soon, the person who squeezed the toad gland fluid came, and they were twins.

They also seemed surprised to see Nancy at this hour and this place, which usually shows up with fellow prisoners in confinement.

Are you here too?Fred asked her with his mouth in surprise.

"If your limbs and brains are fine, start squeezing gland fluid immediately!" Snape stared at them unkindly.

"Professor, don't you have gloves? Toad gland fluid is corrosive." George asked, looking at their work tonight.

"I think this may deepen your impression. No more playing with the materials provided to you! For example, stuffing fireworks into the salamander's mouth!" Snape said coldly.

The twins each took out a dead toad from the vat with complicated expressions. The cold and creamy touch made their faces pale a little. Then they began to squeeze the venom gland fluid in the pimples, just like squeezing pustules one by one, popping, popping, popping.

Nancy looked at them incredulously.

After squeezing a few toads, the twins' hands were already itchy.Yet there are plenty of Toads.Seeing their grinning faces, Nancy put down the grass in her hand, took out two pairs of plastic gloves from the closet behind her and put them on their table.

Fred and George froze for a moment, but did not dare to put it on immediately. They took a peek at Snape, who was still grading homework as if he hadn't noticed.

Nancy pointed to the small door of the bathroom. After hesitating for a while, they finally walked in lightly, washed their hands and put on gloves. The process obviously started to speed up because of the equipment.

By 9 o'clock they were done.

The twins who stepped out of the potions office seemed to finally regain their souls and come back to life.

"Thank you Nancy, we'd be useless without you!" said Fred.

"No, he just wants to punish you a little bit, otherwise he will stop me from getting you gloves." Nancy said.

"Anyway, thanks to you we can go back safely." Fred said gratefully.

"I guess Lee Jordan will be shocked, after all, he made a bet that the two of us will be tortured half to death before being released." George said.

"Then he must have lost badly." Fred said lightly.

"But why are you working there today?" Fred suddenly remembered and turned to Nancy.

"I often go to help with materials." Nancy said.

"Oh, don't you tell him" George raised his forehead, "he'll make me a regular there!"

"We'll take you back to Slytherin, it's getting late," Fred suggested.

"No need, I'll be there when I walk down the stairs." Nancy pointed to the moving stairs in front of her.

"Okay then..." Fred could only say regretfully.

Waving them goodbye, Nancy walked down the stairs, feeling something staring at her from the dark, maybe just an illusion, she thought as she walked quickly into the Slytherin common room.

After breakfast the next day, they rushed off to their first Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

The desks and chairs were removed from the classroom, leaving only a wardrobe-like thing there.

Lupine was still wearing that simple suit of clothes. He stood by the cabinet and looked at everyone, his eyes focused on the faces of Nancy and Harry.

"Put the book away, we don't need it. What is needed is your wand. Theories don't help you protect yourself," Lupine said.

Everyone was happy except Hermione.

"In this class, I will lead everyone to face a less dangerous thing." Lupine said, "Of course, danger is relative. If you can't conquer it, it may be very dangerous to you. A Borg Te, can anyone tell me what a Boggart is?"

Unsurprisingly, Lupine nodded to Hermione, the only one who raised her hand, and awarded five points to Gryffindor for her complete explanation.

"The spell to defeat a Boggart is very simple and comical. You have to force yourself to imagine it as a very ridiculous image. Remember that laughter is the most powerful weapon to defeat a Boggart." Lupine continued.

"So, who would like to be the first to try?" He smiled and looked at everyone.

Unexpectedly, Neville Lombardon of Gryffindor was the first to raise his hand hesitantly.

"Very well, your name is Neville, isn't it?" Lupine asked gently. "What are you afraid of?"

Neville was very troubled, he looked left and right, and even took a sneak peek at Nancy. "Professor Snape." He said in a very low voice.

Almost everyone immediately laughed.

"Very well, you live with your grandma?" Lupine continued.

Neville nodded.

"Then, when the boggart comes out, you can concentrate on imagining your grandma's clothes," Lupine suggested.

Nancy stopped smiling immediately, and looked at Lupine expressionlessly.

"I see you dare!" Draco said to Neville viciously.

"Why didn't he dare?" Harry asked back, and then he came to his senses and shut his mouth and decided that if Neville really did this, he must manage his expression in front of Nancy.

"I can!" Neville cheered himself up and raised his wand facing the cabinet.

The cupboard door opened and Snape stepped out.He looked at Neville coldly as usual.

"Funny, funny, funny!" Neville screamed, shaking with fear.

Snape didn't change.

"Focus!" said Lupine.

"Funny funny!" cried Neville.

There was a bang, and Snape stood there stupidly in a flowery dress with a handbag and an old lady's peaked hat.

Everyone except Slytherin was laughing.

Lupine smiled slightly, "Very well, so who's next?"

The Gryffindors took turns facing the Boggart, except for Slytherin and Harry.Harry kept looking at Nancy anxiously.

Lupine seemed to notice this too, and he left Nancy behind after class.

"I'm sorry, I probably didn't take your feelings into consideration, after all, you were..."

"You don't have to be sorry to me!" Nancy interrupted him impatiently, "You should say this to the person who helped you boil the potion."

"You, you know?" Lupine seemed a little flustered.

"Know what? No, I don't know what the potion is. Obviously Severus kept the secret for you." Nancy replied.

"You call him Severus?" Lupine asked with a complicated expression.

"Otherwise? I want to call him Dad, but he doesn't agree." Nancy said crisply.

Lupine's expression became more complicated.

"Well, if nothing else, I'm going to the restaurant for lunch." Nancy wanted to end this unpleasant conversation at once.

Lupine's eyes dimmed, and he nodded.

Nancy skipped the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class.Since he didn't respect him, she didn't go to this kind of person's class. So she hides in the library doing homework or reading.

It wasn't long before she was called to the office by Snape.
