Harry was excited to find people buzzing about something when he returned to the Gryffindor common room that night.

"What's going on?" he asked Ron and Hermione, who were sitting in the best two seats by the fireplace, comparing a few star charts from astronomy class.

"The first Hogsmeade weekend," said Ron, pointing to a notice on the old notice board, "end of October, Hallow's Eve."

"Excellent!" said Fred, who had followed Harry into the hole in the portrait. "I've got to stop by Zuko's. I'm running out of stink bombs."

"Great, I can finally visit the ruins of the Goblin Rebel Headquarters." Hermione said with longing.

Harry also thought it was great, he could finally take out the "pet dog" that he had almost forgotten in the Slytherin chamber.

Then Crookshanks, the big ginger cat, jumped briskly into Hermione's lap with a large dead spider in its mouth.

"Does it have to eat in front of me?" Ron growled.

"Wise Crookshanks, did you catch it yourself?" said Hermione.Although Crookshanks is Harry's pet, Hermione has always been keeping it.

Crookshanks chewed the spider slowly, its yellow eyes fixed on Ron intently.

"Just let it stay there, please. Scabbers is sleeping in my schoolbag." Ron said impatiently, and went to draw the astrology map homework again.

Ron liked best his astronomy homework because Harry bought them each a large glass globe with wonderful moving models of constellations inside.Every time he draws a star chart, he just needs to copy it according to the glass ball.

Hermione didn't approve of plagiarism, so she pouted, but said nothing.

Still watching Ron without blinking, Crookshanks flicked the tip of his hairy tail. Then, without a word, it came suddenly.

"Oh!" Ron roared, snatching his schoolbag. At this time, Crookshanks' four claws had firmly grasped the schoolbag and began to bite ferociously. "Let go, you stupid bastard!"

Ron tried to wrest the bag back from under Crookshanks' claws, but it clung on, foaming from its mouth.

"Ron, don't hurt it!" Harry yelled.

"Let it go, Ron!" Hermione yelled.

"It's trying to hurt Scabbers! It's grabbing my bag!" growled Ron.

The whole living room is watching the excitement.Ron took the schoolbag and spun it around quickly, Crookshanks still clung to it, and Scabbers jumped out from the top of the schoolbag.

"Get that cat!" Ron yelled.

At this moment, Crookshanks let go of his schoolbag and jumped onto the table, chasing after the terrified Scabbers.

George Weasley rushed to grab Crookshanks, but missed.Scatters ran between twenty pairs of legs, and rushed under a chest of drawers in a flash.Crookshanks stopped suddenly, crouched low, and began frantically reaching under the chest of drawers with his front paws.

Ron and Harry hurried over.

Harry grabbed Crookshanks by the waist, then lifted it with difficulty and lowered it elsewhere.Ron lay on the ground, and with great difficulty, he grabbed Scabbers' tail and covered it from view.

"Look!" he said angrily, shaking Scabbers in front of Harry and Hermione, "it's skinny! Don't let that cat get close to it! It's been two days since the black snake disappeared. The cat is after it again!"

"Crookshanks didn't know it was wrong!" Hermione argued in a trembling voice. "All cats catch mice, Ron!"

"What a weird cat!" said Ron, trying to convince Scabbers, who was struggling frantically, to go back into his bag. "It heard me say Banban is in my schoolbag!"

"Oh, that's nonsense," said Hermione impatiently. "Crookshanks will smell it, Ron, do you think it will understand us?"

"That cat just keeps staring at Scabbers! Please take good care of it in the girls' dormitory. Since you offered to help Harry raise it, you should take care of it!" Ron said, ignoring the people around, they all Start laughing. "Babber was here first, two years before this cat! And it's sick!"

Harry touched his nose in embarrassment: "I'm sorry, buddy."

Ron said angrily: "If you feel sorry, you tell your snake not to come back! Let it stop scaring Scabbers all the time!"

He strode across the common room and up the stairs to the boys' dormitory.

Ron was still mad at Harry and Hermione the next day.He barely spoke to Harry and Hermione throughout herbalism class, even though the three of them were experimenting as a group.

"How's Scabbers?" asked Hermione timidly, as they were peeling the pods and putting the shiny beans into a wooden barrel.

"It's hiding under my bed, shaking all the time," said Ron angrily, and with a shake of his hand he missed and dropped the beans on the conservatory floor.

"Beware, Weasley, beware!" cried Professor Sprout, as the beans blossomed before their eyes.

The next class is Transfiguration. However, there seemed to be congestion and disturbances in the corridors in front of the classrooms.

Lavender Brown appeared to be crying. With her arm around her shoulders, Parvati was explaining something to Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas, both of whom were serious.

"What's the matter, Lavender?" Hermione asked anxiously, as she, Harry, and Ron joined the crowd.

"She got a letter from home this morning," whispered Parvati, "that her rabbit Binky was killed by a fox."

"Oh," said Hermione, "what a pity, Lavender."

"I should have known!" Rajand said mournfully. "Do you know what day it is? The sixteenth of October! 'That thing you dreaded, it will happen on the sixteenth of October!' Remember Professor Trelawney is right, she is right!"

Now that the whole class was gathered around Lavender, Ron nodded solemnly.

Hermione hesitated, and then she said, "You, are you afraid that Binky will be eaten by a fox?"

"Well, not necessarily by a fox," said Lavender, looking up at Hermione tearfully, "but I'm obviously worried it's going to die. Isn't it?"

"Oh," said Hermione. She paused again. And then—"Is Binky an old rabbit?"

"No, no!" Lavender sobbed. "It's still a little rabbit!"

Parvati's arms tightened around Lavender's shoulders.

"Then why are you afraid of it dying?" said Hermione.

Parvati glared at her.

"Well, let's look at it logically," Hermione said, turning to the group. "I mean, Binky didn't even die today, right? Lavender just got the news today,"

Lavender wept loudly.

Hermione continued, "And she couldn't have been worrying about it, because it really shocked her—"

"Don't mind Hermione, Lavender," said Ron loudly. "She doesn't think other people's pets matter."

Harry rubbed his nose awkwardly.

At this moment, Professor McGonagall opened the classroom door, fortunately at this moment, because Hermione and Ron were glaring at each other. When they entered the classroom, the two sat on either side of Harry, and did not speak to each other throughout the class.

The cold war between Ron and Hermione was tormenting Harry, because Crookshanks was actually Harry's pet.And at the beginning, it was Xu Dela who stared at Banban first. Xu Dela wanted to discover Banban's magical bloodline, but now it has given up.It said that mediocre Scabbers really stained the term "magical creature", and that it really couldn't discover anything special about Scabbers.

Harry began to silently consider whether to send Crookshanks to the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets. However, the confined living environment seems to be detrimental to Crookshanks' physical and mental health.

The bell rang for the end of get out of class, and Professor McGonagall brought up the topic of Hogsmeade.

"Wait a minute, please!" she yelled, as the whole class was about to leave the classroom. "You are all from my house. You should give me the application form before Halloween. If you don't hand in the form, don't go to Hogsmeade. So, don't forget it!"

Neville said shyly, "Professor, I, I think I lost my copy of the form."

"Your grandma gave me the watch directly, Longbottom," said Professor McGonagall. "She seemed to think it would be safer. Well, it's all right. You can go, Potter stay."

After everyone had left, Harry walked to Professor McGonagall's desk, "What do you want from me, Professor."

"Well, Potter." Professor McGonagall seemed a little hesitant.

Harry took a deep breath, he had a bad feeling.

Professor McGonagall, watching him over her square spectacles, said after a moment, "We don't think you are fit to go to Hogsmeade."

"Because of Sirius Black?" Harry said dissatisfiedly, "but it's my right, isn't it? My guardian, Mr. Dursley, has signed the application form for me."

"Potter," Professor McGonagall said kindly, "since you already know, you should understand. This is an extraordinary period, and only Hogwarts, guarded by dementors, is safe."

"If the dementors are safe, they won't let Black escape," Harry said sarcastically.

"Potter, we all think that you are safe only if you stay at Hogwarts. Believe me, it won't be long before Black is arrested and brought to justice. At that time, you can go to Hogsmeade as much as you want, no one Stop you." Professor McGonagall persuaded with a pleasant face.

Harry sneered uncontrollably: "You? Are you Dumbledore?"

Professor McGonagall opened his mouth in surprise, and after a long while, he said, "It's me and Professor Snape. He is your guide to the wizarding world. I think he has a position to speak about your safety. I went to discuss it with him." There was a strange expression on her face: "Potter, I think you have some misunderstandings about Professor Dumbledore. In fact, it was Professor Dumbledore who felt that West and I Fleurs is making too much of a fuss, and he thinks it's no big deal to let you go to Hogsmeade. However, Severus and I insist that you should stay at Hogwarts."

Harry shrugged, and said not very sincerely: "Well, I misunderstood Professor Dumbledore. I apologize."

Professor McGonagall stood up and put her papers neatly in the drawer, "If you want to blame, blame me. This is my decision as the head of Gryffindor." She turned and looked at the Looking at him, "I'm sorry, Potter. But this is my final decision, and you can take this as a notice, not a discussion. You'd better go, or you'll be late for the next class."

Harry bowed to Professor McGonagall, and said respectfully, "Okay, I have received your notice, Professor."

Professor McGonagall frowned as he watched Harry leave.

"You shouldn't have done this, Minerva. Harry is fine, he has his own measure."

The voice of the old headmaster suddenly sounded, and Professor McGonagall looked at the headmaster who suddenly appeared beside him in shock. "Albus, you're misusing the Disillusionment Charm again."

"The Disillusionment Charm is my pride." Dumbledore blinked slyly. "Harry has learned so many spells, but he doesn't seem to have mastered the Disillusionment Charm yet. Well, I should suggest that Severus teach it." Harry the spell, though I'm afraid Severus isn't very good at it himself."

"Albus! You and Severus are really too used to Potter. There are many spells that Potter shouldn't be exposed to at this age. They are too dangerous." Professor McGonagall said angrily.

"You're just too cautious, Minerva, Harry knows it well." The old headmaster criticized disapprovingly.

"Know it? Heh, Potter, who knows it, is not sure why he is hostile to you, an old lunatic." Professor McGonagall sneered.

Dumbledore stretched out his little finger and licked his ear, and continued with a smile: "This shows that Harry has his own independent opinions, is good at thinking, and is a smart kid."

"Hey." Professor McGonagall snorted, packed up the lesson plans, and left the Transfiguration classroom without looking back.
