HP When Harry is a Genius
Chapter 16
On Halloween, they woke up to the smell of roasted pumpkins wafting down the hallway.
Even better, Professor Flitwick announced in magic class. He thought they could start making things fly.Ever since the students saw Professor Flitwick make Neville's toads and toads fly around the classroom, they have been eagerly hoping to try this skill.
Professor Flitwick divided the class into groups of two and began training.
Harry's partner is Neville. And Ron, to work with Hermione Granger.
It was hard to tell which was more irritating, Ron or Granger, about it.
Granger had never talked to Harry and the others, and Ron thought that if he partnered with Harry, his success rate would be much higher than with Granger.
It's not easy to do.
Neville swung, swung, swung, over and over again, but the feather he was supposed to be sending into the air remained motionless on the floor.
In a fit of anger, he poked the feather with his wand, and the feather caught fire. Harry had to demonstrate it to him over and over again.
Ron at the other table didn't seem to be having much better luck.
"Wingadim Leviosa!" he shouted, waving his long arms like a windmill.
"You got it wrong," Harry heard Granger say bluntly. "It's Winga-Dim Levi-o-sa, and that 'plus' needs to be long and clear."
"Since you're so clever, try it out," growled Ron.
Hermione Granger rolled up her sleeves, waved her wand, and said, "Wingardim Leviosa!"
Their feather rose from the table and hovered four feet above their heads.
"Oh, well done!" Professor Flitwick yelled, pinching his hands, "Look, everyone, Miss Granger has succeeded!"
As for Harry, who had mastered the Levitation Charm before entering school, Professor Flitwick had already removed him from the students' reference list.
After all, the savior is supposed to be omnipotent, and that's no surprise, is it?
By the end of the get out of class, Ron's mood was extremely bad.
"No wonder everyone can't stand her," he said to Harry as they trudged through the crowded corridors. "Honestly, she's like a nightmare."
Someone bumped into Harry and hurried past them.
It's Hermione Granger.
Harry caught a glimpse of her face, and he was surprised to see that she was crying.
"I think she heard you," Harry reminded Ron.
"So what?" said Ron, with a hint of uneasiness. "She must have noticed herself. She doesn't have any friends."
Harry sighed. In the wizarding world that respects blood and strength, Granger of Muggle origin is indeed difficult to mix. This has nothing to do with her personality, although her personality is indeed not easy to get along with.
You know, even Ron, who most flaunts the Muggle family of wizards, will unconsciously have a sense of superiority when facing his Muggle-born classmates.
Granger didn't show up for the next class, and hadn't been seen all afternoon.
Harry and Ron were heading downstairs to the dining room for the Hallow's Eve feast when they overheard Patil telling her friend Lavender that Granger was crying in the ladies' room and not letting anyone comfort her.
Ron looked even more uncomfortable when he heard this.
Moments later, however, when they walked into the dining room and saw the colorful Halloween decorations, Granger was immediately forgotten.
A thousand bats fluttered on the walls and ceiling, and a thousand others hovered over the dining table like low, dark clouds, making the candle flames in the pumpkin belly flicker.
Delicious food suddenly appeared on the golden plate, just like at the banquet at the beginning of school.
Harry was eating a potato with the skin on when Professor Quirrell rushed into the dining room, with his large scarf tilted on his head and a horrified look on his face.
Everyone stared at him, and he walked to Professor Dumbledore's chair, leaned on the table, panted and said, "Troll, in the dungeon, I thought you should know."
After he finished speaking, he fell to the floor and passed out.
There was a sudden chaos in the dining room, and Dumbledore asked the prefect to take the students back to the dormitory.
"How could a troll get in?" said Ron to himself. "Maybe Peeves put it in there, just to make Hallow's Eve fun."
"I just remembered - Granger!" Harry snapped at Ron's arm.
"What's the matter with her?"
"She doesn't know about the troll yet."
Ron bit his lip. "Oh, all right," he said decisively, "but it's best not to let Percy see us."
They hunkered down, blended in with the Hufflepuff crowd, and walked in the other direction. They slipped quietly down the empty side corridor and hurried to the women's room.
As soon as he turned the corner, he heard hurried footsteps behind him, and Harry turned his head to see that it was Draco.
"I heard Harry, you can't, you can't go find a troll for a mudblood!" Draco's pale face expressed concern unabashedly.
Ron frowned, "Although she's annoying, I don't think you should call her a Mudblood."
Draco bit his lip, looking annoyed.
Harry shook his hand, "Don't worry, Draco, it's okay, I have to find her. She is a student of our academy. Now, it's not safe here, you go back quickly."
Draco stomped his feet and said angrily, "Goyle and Crabbe have gone back, so I won't walk dangerously alone in the troll-infested hallway, I want to go with you!"
Ron chuckled disdainfully, Harry hesitated for a moment, then took Draco's hand and continued walking forward.
A foul stench was in their nostrils, a mixture of smelly socks and public toilets that were never cleaned.
Then they heard a muffled grunt and the scuffing of huge feet.
Ron noticed: At the end of a passage on the left, a huge shape was moving towards them. They quickly retreated into the darkness and watched it slowly walk into the moonlight.
It was a horrible sight.
It was twelve feet tall, with dull, granite-gray skin, a huge, clumsy body like a giant heap of boulders, with a small head the size of a cocoa bean. Its short legs were thick as tree stumps, and underneath were large, flat, calloused feet. The stench from it was disgusting. It held a thick wooden stick in its hand, and because of its long arms, the wooden stick dragged on the ground.
The troll stopped by a door and peered inside. It wiggled its long ears, made a decision with its little head, then lowered its head and slowly crept into the room.
"The key's in the lock," Ron murmured. "We can lock it in there."
"Good idea," Draco said nervously.
They sidled toward the open door, their mouths dry, and all they could do was hope that the troll wouldn't come out suddenly.
Ron took a big leap, took the key in his hand, and slammed the door, locking it firmly.
"It's done!"
Flushed with excitement at their success, they began to run back down the passage, but just as they turned the corner, they heard a sound that nearly stopped their hearts, a shrill, terrified sound—it was From the room they had just locked.
"Oh, bad," said Ron, as pale as the ghost of the Bloody Baron.
"That's the women's room!" Harry said breathlessly.
"Granger!" the two said at the same time.
Draco rolled his eyes.
They really don't want to go back, but what other choice is there?
They turned sharply, ran back to the door, turned the key, Harry pulled the door open, and the three of them rushed in.
Hermione Granger crouched against the opposite wall, as if she might faint at any moment.
The troll was closing in on her, knocking the pool away from the wall as it went.
"Swoon!" Harry waved his wand.
The troll swayed in place and fell face down on the floor with a thud that shook the room.
Ron and Draco stood there, eyes widened, "So the troll is so weak?!"
They murmured, their hands were still shaking, as if they hadn't recovered.
Finally it was Granger who spoke first.
"It, is it dead?"
"No," said Harry, "just passed out."
Suddenly there was a loud banging on the door and loud footsteps, and all four people in the room looked up.
They didn't realize how much commotion had just happened. A moment later, Professor McGonagall rushed into the room, followed closely by Snape, with Quirrell at the end.
Quirrell just glanced at the troll, let out a weak sob, and sat on a toilet bowl, clutching his chest.
Draco curled his lips in disdain: "This is also worthy of being a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts? The dean should take this class for us!"
Snape bent down to look at the troll.
Professor McGonagall looked at them, Harry had never seen her so angry, her lips were white.
"What the hell are you playing?" Professor McGonagall said, with cold anger in his voice.
Snape quickly gouged them out with a threatening look.
Harry looked at the ground.
At this time, a low voice came from the shadows.
"Please don't, Professor McGonagall, they're looking for me."
"Miss Granger!"
Hermione Granger finally struggled to her feet.
"I came for the troll because I—I thought I could handle it alone—you know, because I've read about them and know them well."
Ron turned his head strangely to see Granger telling a huge lie to a teacher.
"If they hadn't found me, I'd be dead by now. Harry and the others knocked the troll unconscious. They didn't have time to find anyone. When they arrived, the troll was going to swallow me whole." Granger explain.
"Oh, if that's the case." Professor McGonagall looked at them and pondered, "Miss Granger, you silly girl, how can you think that you can deal with a giant monster as big as a mountain by yourself?"
Granger hung his head.
Harry didn't speak.
Hermione Granger was the last person to break the school rules, and now, she lied about breaking the school rules.
"It seems that Granger will be our friend in the future, and she has shown us kindness." Harry whispered to Ron.
"Hey," Draco sneered, "She's a smart girl who is good at making money. After realizing that Hogwarts is different from the Muggle world she is familiar with, she quickly changed her identity and position. And in time, hugged her The golden thigh of the savior."
Ron glared at Draco: "Stop bringing your conspiracy theories to Gryffindor, Malfoy!"
Professor McGonagall continued: "Miss Granger, because of this incident, Gryffindor will be deducted five points," she said: "I am very disappointed in you. If you have no Injured, better go back to Gryffindor Castle. The students are having Halloween dinner in their houses."
Granger left.
Professor McGonagall turned to Harry, Ron and Draco.
"Well, I'm still going to say you're lucky, there aren't many first-years who can take on a full-grown troll. You've each earned five points for your house. I'll let Dumbledore know about it Professor. You can go."
They hurried out of the room and went up two flights of stairs without a word.
Finally, they couldn't smell the stench from the troll, and they breathed a sigh of relief.
Draco was taken away by Snape.
"Should have won more than ten points." Ron grumbled, "Gryffindor only got five points, counting the points she deducted from Granger! And Malfoy also got five points, the devil believes he will Go protect Granger!"
"Granger is so kind, she stepped forward and got us out of trouble." Ron admitted, "But don't forget, Harry, we did save her."
"If we hadn't locked her up with that thing, she probably wouldn't have needed to be rescued at all," Harry reminded him.
They came to the portrait of the Fat Lady.
"Pig nose." After saying the password, they got in.
The common room was crowded and noisy.Everyone was eating the food that was served.Only Hermione Granger stood alone at the door, waiting for them.
Seeing this, Ron immediately gave Harry an admiring thumbs up.
After that, Hermione Granger sure became their friend.
When you and someone go through an event together, you can't help but develop a bond, and knocking out a twelve-foot troll is one such event.
The twins jumped in front of Harry,
"Hi, Harry," "Hi, little brother Ronny," the twins chorused,
"We told you", "You have to listen carefully"
"The forbidden area on the fourth floor", "There is a strange dog with three heads!"
"You must not provoke it!" The twins said at the same time.
"Three-headed dog?" Harry and Ron looked at them in surprise.
"This morning, George and I wandered into the forbidden room by accident", "then saw the monster".
"It guards the forbidden area" and "opens its bloody mouth".
"It's terrifying!" The twins patted their chests in unison in a frightening gesture.
Even better, Professor Flitwick announced in magic class. He thought they could start making things fly.Ever since the students saw Professor Flitwick make Neville's toads and toads fly around the classroom, they have been eagerly hoping to try this skill.
