Shearer came out of Rossi's office almost at the end of working hours, with a rather annoyed look on his face, obviously not taking advantage of it.

Hotch stopped what he was doing and looked up. Shearer entered Gideon's office, but seemed to push the door open within a few minutes.

He walked up to Hotch, bent slightly, and stared at him, "Agent Hotchner, I suggest you think again about what I said."

Hotch raised his eyebrows, but said nothing.

Shearer put his business card on his desk and smiled, "Also, Agent Rossi and you are indefinitely suspended pending the results of our investigation."

Hotch froze for a second, "But—"

Shearer smiled at him again, "Think about it again. You can call me anytime you think it through."

Hotch stared at him, trying to suppress his anger, and watched him go away.

After a while, Gideon also came out. He scanned the entire BAU. On the first day after the festival, there were not too many things. on Hotch.

Gideon shook his head, sighed deeply, stepped up to him and said, "Go home."

"Jason!" Hotch's eyes widened. "You can't trust them!"

"I don't want to." Gideon shook his head, "but... go home."

"I can sort out the old cases." Of course, Hotch knew that Gideon didn't mean to let him go home to rest after a day's work, and he was almost flustered as he fumbled through the various documents on the desktop.

"Aaron. You're suspended. And I think you need a break." Gideon pressed his arm and said firmly, "Go home."

"I just came back from vacation and don't need a break." Hotch struggled to refute.

"If something like what he said really happened between you and David, it's obviously not the right time for you to do any work." Gideon still pressed him, even looking a little embarrassed, "I... I'm sorry."

"What are you talking about?" Hotch suddenly felt inexplicably terrified. When he communicated with Gideon a few hours ago, the other party didn't express any opinion about the two getting back together. "Jason, you know exactly what happened between me and him, That has nothing to do with work, I promise."

"I overlooked something about David..." Gideon sighed again, and he waved his hand. "Anyway, go back, Aaron, you're temporarily suspended, and Agent Shearer asked me to submit your psychological evaluation."

"I'm fine." Hotch glanced around to make sure there were no other colleagues, and whispered, "Jason! You can't believe his nonsense! I wasn't abused!"

"Calm down, after I talk to David, I will confirm." Gideon patted him, "Don't worry about the assessment report, but... I can only say that based on what I know about the FBI, I strongly recommend that you do not privately Meet."

"What the hell are they trying to do?" Hotch's eyes wandered involuntarily to Rossi's.

"Actually, I guess they're targeting you." Gideon shifted his body to block his view.

"Me?" Hotch looked at him in astonishment, "I don't think I have any behaviors and reasons that should be noticed by the career development department?"

"You got their attention on a case," Gideon explained. "I suspect they want to transfer you."

"That's impossible." After a few seconds of shock, Hotch flatly refused.

"Anyway... go home first." Gideon patted him lightly, "I promise if things turn around, or if I really need support, I will call you."

Hotch opened his mouth, wanting to say something more.

Gideon stopped him, "Don't think too much, Aaron, I won't consider your transfer unless you ask."

Hotch forced a smile, "Thank you."

Gideon hesitated for a while, still pressed his shoulders, and whispered, "Aaron, tell me the truth, did David do anything inappropriate to you."

Hotch blinked and answered him flatly, "No, never."

But Gideon didn't seem so convinced, and looked at him for a while before letting go, "Go home. I'll check with him again. Or if you have anything to say...call me anytime, me and you Knowing David as well, you don't have to have any concerns."

"Jason, I swear, Dave never hurt me. If that's what you want to ask." Hotch stood up before he could turn, and said firmly.

Gideon glanced over at him, only to repeat, "Go home."
