[Criminal Minds] years before love
Chapter 33
The door was opened by a female doctor with neat half-length blond hair and a gentle smile. The clinic was also decorated in a simple and warm way.
It is very easy to relax and create a sense of trust.
"Hello, do you need any help?"
"Doctor Forstall?" Rossi's eyes lit up almost immediately.
"Yes. The two of you don't seem to have an appointment?" Forstall turned his eyes around both of them, "Are you here for emotional consultation?"
"No." Hotch coughed. "FBI."
"SSADavidRossi." Rossi keenly noticed that Hotch seemed to have a flash of displeasure and resistance, reached out and pulled him, and introduced himself for him, "AaronHotchner."
"Huh?" Forstall froze for a moment, a little surprised, "Then... May I help you?"
Hotch handed over the photo, "Do you have any impression of this Beck Johnson?"
"He's my patient." The female doctor nodded, "Is he in any trouble?"
"What kind of person do you think he is?" Rossi asked instead without answering.
Forstall narrowed his eyes warily. "I don't usually judge my patients."
"Looks like you didn't treat him very well," Hotch said abruptly, turning around.
Forstall was silent for a moment. "What's the matter with him? Johnson may not be very smart and can't live up to his parents' expectations, but he won't do things he shouldn't. He's a good guy."
"Once." Hotch looked at her. "Beck Johnson was killed. We hope you can provide some clues."
"I have the right to protect his privacy." Forstall took a step back in surprise, but insisted.
"Dr. Forstall, I believe that if Johnson had the choice, he would prefer you to help us find his killer." Rossi blinked and smiled at her.
The female doctor struggled for a moment, then sighed, "He didn't mention anyone who had any substantive conflicts with him. Basically, he was just very upset that he couldn't do what his parents wanted, and he always did wrong things, etc. Although it does not meet the diagnostic criteria for depression in general, it does stand out in this regard."
"When was the last time you met?"
"A week ago." Forstall flipped through the calendar. "I've been trying to get him to build up more confidence, but you're right, I haven't been doing well with him overall."
"Did you feel anything was wrong with him that day?" Rossi nodded encouragingly.
Hotch curled his lips, stood at the window and looked out, across the street was a small park, with many young people walking around.
"No, the problem with Johnson is that he has a complete lack of confidence in himself, and his parents have been nice to him, and that makes him feel really guilty. I'm trying to convince him that his parents don't mind that he can't be great and all that." Forstall Trying to recall, I also found out the medical records, "But after such a long period of treatment, I have not been able to help him, and I am probably a little discouraged."
"How likely is it that he'll seek other help?" Hotch frowned slightly, turning around.
"It's hard to say." Forstall smiled bitterly, "But I do have plans to recommend other psychologists to him."
Rossi looked at her gently, "You can't help everyone."
"Are there any other psych clinics around here?" Hotch reached for the pamphlets on her desk and flipped through them.
"Probably not, but sometimes someone advertises some therapy groups nearby." Forstall turned his head and looked downstairs, "There's a small park across the way, but I don't think it's effective for him."
"Thank you." Rossi smiled.
Hotch also pursed his lips and nodded at her, "If you think of anything, you can call us or the police."
Forstall hesitated for a moment, and stopped him who was about to go out, "Why do you judge that my treatment effect on him is not good?"
"Johnson needs a stronger controller to affirm him in a firmer way." Hotch didn't look back, but stopped, "And you are obviously too gentle to help him get rid of the powerlessness brought about by his family. "
He hesitated for a few seconds, glanced at Rossi who was waiting for him in front, and continued, "But you don't need to blame yourself, there is no one method that works for everyone."
Rossi didn't raise his eyebrows at him until the two returned downstairs and walked into the small garden beside him, "Someone told me just now that he doesn't understand psychotherapy.
"I don't really understand." Hotch blinked, "but I know what won't work."
After a while he continued, "Dr. Forstall is quite charming. It looks like you left her phone number? Maybe you can discuss this with her after the case is over."
Rossi shook her head, "I think she'd rather have a discussion with you."
Both of them realized that this conversation was a bit inappropriate, and they were silent for a while.
"Are you two interested in joining our party?" The young man with a big earring in his left ear and a leather jacket blew a kiss to Hotch.
"No, thank you." Rossi patted the frozen Hotch and couldn't help laughing.
Hotch glared at him with some annoyance, glanced at the leaflet blown by the wind on the ground, and bent down to pick it up.
