Until the end of the last exam, Alice's mood was not relieved. Looking at the cloud-covered sky outside, she felt like the calm before the storm.

When Alice hurried to the Gryffindor lounge to find Harry and the others, she saw Snape striding across the hall.

"Professor Snape!" Alice called to him, and Snape stopped and stared at her coldly.

"Have you seen Professor Quirrell?" she asked. "I wanted to ask him a question, but I haven't seen him all afternoon."

Snape seemed to stare at her for a moment before he said in a smooth tone, "You should go straight to the staff room, Altman, that's where he should be."

"And," said Snape, "remind your Gryffindor friends that if you hang around in the middle of the night again, I'll fire them myself."

"Professor!" Snape was about to leave when Alice stopped him again, "Are you worried about them?"

Alice's eyes were fixed on him.

"What are you talking about, Altman?" Snape's face twisted into a sneer that looked a bit weird.

"Perhaps you should know that Gryffindor can't afford them to lose points again. Shouldn't they be kicked out of school if they hang around all day like them?" Snape said coldly, "I I would like to advise you again, be careful and mind your own business, if you don't want to lose points to Slytherin!" After speaking, Alice left quickly without waiting for a reaction.

Alice thought about his words carefully, and felt that it was more like a warning—to tell Harry and the others not to go out at night, and if they wanted to go out at night, where might they go?She had heard that Harry, Hermione, and Ron were each deducted [-] points for violating school rules a while ago, which caused Gryffindor's scores to plummet, and they had almost lost this year's House Cup, but she didn't know What the hell happened during that time—that was the coldest period of their relationship with her.

Alice frowned and continued on. She wanted to ask Harry if they had discovered anything, and to pass on Snape's reminder to them. However, when they got near the lounge, they only met Neville. He told Alice and Harry that the three of them hadn't come back—they left in a hurry after the exam, and he didn't know where they went.

Alice had to go back, she thought maybe she should really find Quirrell now, and then stare at him.

She ran all the way to the staff lounge. Professor Flitwick asked her kindly if she had any questions about the exam. She said she wanted to find Quirrell, but was told that he was not there. Alice returned without success again.

The three of Harry were nowhere to be seen, and neither could Quirrell. Alice's heart seemed to be suspended in the air, and the feeling of uneasiness became stronger and stronger.Instead of going back to the Slytherin common room, she wandered around the campus, hoping to spot one of them.

Disappointingly, she didn't see one of them until dark.

Alice returned to the lounge sullenly, Malfoy was sitting on the sofa seat in the center talking loudly to the people around him, Parkinson was laughing in agreement, and Crabbe and Goyle were sitting opposite them.

Parkinson saw her and pouted contemptuously.

Alice was about to quickly go back to the dormitory when Malfoy's voice sounded, "Aren't you going to have a farewell party for your Gryffindor friends, Altman?"

"What did you say?" Alice turned her head and stared at him closely.

Malfoy stood up from his seat, showing a sneer, "I heard good news today, as long as that scar-headed Potter wanders around at night again, he will be expelled-Professor Snape himself said. "

"Did you see them? When?" Alice asked.

"Why should I tell you, Altman?" Malfoy sat back on the sofa unhurriedly, like an elegant young master.

Crabbe and Goyle sneered.

"It can be exchanged." Alice said suddenly, trying to calm down the turbulent emotions, "Tell me what you know today, and I can help you with one thing in the future - the same level of things, as long as it is not excessive."

Malfoy pretended to think about it for a while, raised his eyebrows at the others, and then raised the corners of his lips and said, "Okay."

"They were in the hall this afternoon, looking for Dumbledore," he said slowly, "but Dumbledore had gone, supposedly to the Ministry of Magic, and then met Snape—"

"I see, thank you!" Alice ran out of the lounge in a hurry after finishing speaking.

They're off to Dumbledore!

They must have gone to find Dumbledore because they felt that the man was going to steal the Sorcerer's Stone. They would be so anxious to find him only when the Sorcerer's Stone was involved, but Dumbledore was not there! He left by such a coincidence, was someone deliberately trying to distract him or was there really something important?

Alice doesn't know, but the key point is, what will they do when Harry and the others find out that Dumbledore is not there and that person might go to steal the Philosopher's Stone?

They will definitely stop him!

This is too dangerous!

Alice ran out in a hurry and suddenly stopped. She realized that she couldn't just go looking for them—they might have entered the place guarded by the three-headed dog—the room behind the corridor on the fourth floor where the Philosopher's Stone was placed. She may be fighting the big dog, or she may be trapped in a certain level set in the secret room, she can't go to them alone.

Alice thought of Snape, she immediately turned around and ran to his office, fortunately, he was really there.

"Professor Snape!"

Snape looked at her in surprise, his face darkened, "You may remember this afternoon's warning, Altman!"

"Professor, Harry went to the restricted corridor on the fourth floor, and Quirrell!" Alice directly stated her conjecture, and it needs to be verified whether it is true or not.

Snape's face darkened completely, he almost gritted his teeth and said, "This damn Potter!"

He immediately got up and strode out in a hurry, Alice had almost never seen him so anxious - even though it was completely invisible from his face, Alice still felt that he valued Harry.

Alice followed him all the way up to the fourth floor, until she saw the half-open door outside the corridor.

Alice's face turned pale. She believed that it wasn't just Harry alone. Hermione and Ron must have come too. These children were really too bold and reckless, she didn't dare to think about what they would encounter inside, so she could only look at Snape expectantly.

Snape hesitated for a moment and gently opened the door, and almost immediately the big three-headed dog barked at them.

"You, get out!" Snape stared at Alice coldly.

"No, Professor," said Alice calmly, "we can't just go in like this. There must be another way."

"I mean go back to your lounge, now!" Snape growled at her.

"Don't waste time, Professor," Alice said quietly, ignoring his obstruction. "Look at its feet, there is a harp!"

"You'd better know what you're doing," Snape resumed his cold tone, "no one can guarantee what's in there!"

Alice didn't speak, and started to whistle. As the whistle sounded, the eyes of the big dog began to droop.Alice was blowing an out-of-key tune almost non-stop, and as she walked slowly in, the big dog slowly quieted down and fell asleep on the floor.

Snape followed Alice to the trapdoor behind the big dog, and then opened the door, revealing a deep dark hole behind.

Alice put out a hand and grabbed Snape's robes tightly, and they jumped down together.

Snape used a 'fluorescent flash', and the surrounding vines immediately dispersed. They continued on to the front room, with many shiny birds flying overhead, and opposite a locked wooden door - apparently requiring a key.

They looked around, and soon found that those little birds were keys with wings, but there were too many of them.

Alice carefully distinguished, trying to find the difference between these keys. She tried to see each key clearly, and then found one of the sky blue keys that seemed to be limp, with all the feathers turned to one side.

Snape obviously noticed the difference too, he directly used a Flying Charm to grab the key and put it in the lock and turned it - the door opened.

Then they entered a huge chessboard room, standing on the board like pawns with the black and white pieces, and immediately they found Ron lying unconscious on the floor.

Alice ran over quickly, helped Ron to check, "It should just pass out," she said to Snape.

Snape nodded and glanced at her. "You stop here, Altman - stay and watch him."

Alice looked at Ron, nodded quickly, and then Snape's figure quickly crossed the chessboard and disappeared into the next door.
