Chapter 52 Competition

Geist and I had a disagreement about my relationship with my dad.

He thinks I should be considerate of Dad, after all, Dad still loves me, and Geist also thinks I shouldn't be like him.In the past, after his mother died, he always blamed Ginger, thinking that she had killed his mother. Later, he didn't know that it was not Ginger's fault until Ginger fell ill.

I told him that I was not like him.

I hated my dad not just because he wasn't there for my mom when she was sick, but I found that I was slowly becoming like him.

"Gest, if one day after I give birth to a child, I suddenly feel that I should be more suitable for the outside world and leave here and never come back, I hope you will still think that Dad is right at that time."

"So... is this the reason why you don't want to have children?" He seemed to finally understand something.

I thought how embarrassing the secret buried in my heart would be if it was known, but when I asked it from Geist, I instantly felt a lot easier.

I'm cowardly, timid, and I always like to be alone.

I don't think I have to pretend I'm happy anymore, that I don't care, let alone that I'm a normal person.I don't have to care about what other people think of me, even Geist.

"Guest, I need to calm down."

The Chamber of Commerce sent a notice that in last year's annual ranking, my workshop points finally won No.1.

I silently put the letter back in the mailbox, brought some necessities, and took the golden-horned alpaca to the wetland ruins.

This winter passed quickly, and when the snow melted, Portia was soon covered with a layer of greenery.

I still got up early and returned late, and kept shuttling between the wetland ruins and my own house. Occasionally, I couldn't make it back, so I just set up a tent next to the ruins.

Portia's time was blowing by, people were starting the new year, and I was obsessed with making a jet plane.

I think that when I make this plane, that person will leave Portia, and he will never disturb my seemingly peaceful life again.

Finally, I gathered most of the materials needed to build the plane.

The mailbox is full of letters, including materials sent by Merlin, medicines sent by Dr. Xu, and materials entrusted by Arlo. The fishing competition has been held a few days ago, Ike has kept my house in good order, and Geist has replaced the wallpaper in the room with new ones.

I went to the chamber of commerce to see if there were any suitable orders. While chatting with Antoin, I heard from him that Sonina's child was born last weekend, and she is a beautiful little girl.

When I got home, Emily found me.The business of the flower shop is not very good recently, so she wants to change the signboard.I sent it to her when it was ready, and asked her to order some flowers by the way.

After rearranging the room, these flowers and Geist's new green wallpaper can really make people feel better.

"Honey, you're back." With the crisp sound of closing the door, Geist walked in, and seeing me sitting on the sofa, a gleam of joy flashed in his eyes.

It had been a long time since we'd had an argument with him about what to do with Dad.

I didn't know how to deal with him then, and still do, I'm not sure if he would want to stay with me any longer now that he knew why I didn't want kids.

"How's work going?" No matter how many words I had in my mind, I suddenly couldn't think of what to say when I opened my mouth.

"It's not very busy these days." He sat down next to me, "Sonina just gave birth, and Albert hasn't come to work for several days."

"I heard, is Sonina okay?"

"Albert has been with her at home, and the situation doesn't seem very optimistic."

"I'll go see her tomorrow." I heard Antoin mentioned that Sonina's recovery was not very good after giving birth. I thought it was because the weather was not too warm. Now I heard Geist say that. Still decided to check it out.

"Honey," Geist leaned over and took my hand. After feeling the coldness of my palm, he paused, and silently wrapped my hand in his warm palm. "I've thought about it. If you don't want to have a baby, we'll adopt one. I don't want you to suffer that pain, and I don't want you to be like my mother."

I really don't know why he is so obsessed with the issue of the child. Wouldn't it be nice for the two of us to live peacefully together?

"Gest," I really don't want to continue discussing this topic with him, "I plan to go back to Rock City after my father is gone, let's talk about the child later."

"It's okay honey, I'll wait until you're ready."

Uncle Presley was amazed when I presented the completed aircraft order acceptance information, "Wow, what can I say, this is top notch! You have really become a very good workshop host!"

"Do you think I'm going to win?" I don't want to live up to these days of almost living in the wetland ruins.

"You have a good chance of winning this time, but we still need to see what your father did, why don't we go and see?" he suggested.

"now?"

"Of course, let's go. He took a little longer than I expected, and I'd like to know how he looks. He's in Higgins' workshop. Let's go and see."

I have never been in Higgins' workshop. He lives in the town, and he can't build a factory independently like me, so he puts all the machines in the room.

It seems that when we came, Dad was very surprised, and hurriedly greeted us to go in quickly.

"Your child has finished her plane and we want to know how you are doing, Maurice." It was Uncle Presley who spoke.

Hearing the news, Dad looked at me as if he couldn't believe it.But immediately, his surprise turned to relief, and he asked Uncle Presley, "How did it go?"

"That plane? It should be perfect."

Dad was not in a hurry after hearing this, but turned his head to show off to Higgins next to him, "That's my child, haha, did you hear Higgins!"
