Stupid Odin

#135 - 【Dusk】Opening

Honestly, if you had asked the Aesir gods and giants to fight those Chaos monsters a moment ago, there would have been some apprehension, mainly because of those three flying behemoths.

Within the entire Aesir god race, there are only a few Aesir gods who can fly. Even the most famous Thor, the God of Thunder, isn't necessarily a top-notch aerial combatant.

Those three flat-feathered beasts fly high and low, occasionally covering each other while swooping down to give you a claw strike. Don't think that just because they were even squabbling and toying with Skoll just now, the result would be much different if the Aesir gods were to go up.

The Aesir gods have no initiative at all; who wouldn't panic with this kind of fighting?

Now it's good; their own God-King is indeed invincible, instantly pinning all three flying dragons to the ground.

When it comes to ground warfare, the Aesir gods and giants are no longer troubled. They at least have the hope of using their rich ground combat experience to surround and kill these three beasts.

Moreover, they don't have to bear it all on their own!

Just like in the epic poem "Edda," the first to attack is Jormungandr, the World Serpent. The intriguing part is that this time, the serpent stands on the side of order.

It sensed the location where the eagle and two dragons fell. Instead of ambushing the more troublesome evil dragon Fafnir and Nidhogg, it chose the great eagle Vedrfolnir as its opponent.

In fact, when Jormungandr approached, the ground had already behaved abnormally. On the flat wilderness, huge mounds suddenly rose one after another. Even a fool would know that some huge, terrifying thing was approaching beneath the ground.

As everyone knows, once an eagle is on the ground, even if no one restricts it, its steps will be hopping and jumping, looking very ridiculous.

It's not to say that an eagle has no attack power at all on the ground, but it's at least weakened by eighty percent!

Except for its beak, which can still attack relatively normally, its sharp talons cannot be raised high at all. Compared to a dragon whose entire body is a weapon, even though Vedrfolnir's body is larger, its combat power will plummet instead.

Vedrfolnir is very frightened, but "Sky" hates being infused with the power of Chaos, and no matter how frantically it flaps its wings, it doesn't provide it with any lift.

Honestly, this scene is very inconsistent with "Fluid Mechanics." But who told Thanos to formulate the laws of the world back then!

The "Ban" incantation is terrifying!

In this state, facing Jormungandr approaching from underground, the great eagle Vedrfolnir still swung a claw towards the front end of the mound with lightning speed, just before the mound was about to touch its body.

This claw is too huge!

If this mound were a small human town, I'm afraid the entire town would be torn apart in an instant.

However, the serpent, having calculated all this, made a beautiful end turn, a right-angle turn, allowing the giant eagle's terrifying claws to only grab a large handful of shallow soil.

The World Serpent's head took advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, suddenly pouncing out from the giant eagle's back, biting Vedrfolnir's nape in one bite.

Pain!

And soon no pain!

This feeling of pain followed by numbness makes Vedrfolnir even more frightened.

Because snakes are venomous!

It tried to twist its neck, attempting to peck back at the serpent, but its body structure was locked in place. The place where the serpent bit was too close to its head, so it didn't have much room to rotate.

What's even more fatal is that its pair of sharp talons that can tear everything apart didn't even come into play.

The moment it bit down, the serpent's extremely thick body quickly wrapped around Vedrfolnir's ankles, and the giant eagle's claws instinctively opened and closed repeatedly, but they were all grabbing air.

Vedrfolnir's wings, which could shatter mountains, were also tightly entangled by the serpent's body, and could only twitch and twist in a very small range.

Little did it know that this kind of close-quarters melee is exactly what all large serpent tribes like.

Jormungandr, ah, it is both venomous and a python!

In order to take down Vedrfolnir more securely, it even carefully tried to drag it into the hole it had just come out of. Although this is not realistic, half of the giant eagle's body has already sunk below the horizon.

The fierce fight between the serpent and the eagle has already raised a huge 'crater' on the ground.

If another ferocious beast came to the rescue at this time, Vedrfolnir might be able to survive.

Chaos is chaos.

Even if they have the common goal of fighting against order, it doesn't mean they have to risk their lives to save their teammates.

From the perspective of the Order Allied Forces, no third party approached this fierce battle on the left side of the battlefield.

On the right wing of the battlefield, Garm, the hellhound encouraged by Hela's death power, suddenly grew larger. In a few breaths, it had become almost the same size as Skoll, the wolf who chases the sun.

In this way, a wolf and a dog fought frantically in the open plain. Their movements were faster and caused more damage.

Fortunately, this is a snow-covered wasteland. If it were placed in a densely populated city, their infighting could destroy most of the city in an instant. The houses built by mortals over decades would only be reduced to things not even as good as building blocks under these two huge beasts, and would be destroyed in pieces.

Jormungandr and Garm are the only two ferocious beasts that the Aesir gods can send out.

The scene of Garm fighting Skoll made Loki feel heartbroken: "Why is that child so stupid, actually believing that bastard Odin! Give me a chance to persuade him, maybe I can get Skoll back on the right path!"

The ones who listen to Loki are his three children, not including his grandson Skoll.

After all, Skoll's hatred for killing his father and brothers is right there. The simple-minded and extremely violent wolf who chases the sun will not understand why 'Grandpa' would continue to be a subject of the enemy so despicably.

No one cares about Loki!

Loki's terrible popularity is there.

If it weren't for Thanos' constant support of Loki in recent years, and even publicly suppressing the pure-blooded Aesir gods, making everyone think that the God-King was using Loki to clean up the Aesir gods, it wouldn't be surprising if someone stabbed Loki in the back on the battlefield.

In fact, discerning people know that Loki can bring over a pair of very capable children—Hela and Jormungandr—to help the Aesir god race, and his contribution will not be small after the war.

Without the behemoths, the Aesir god race can only use the gods to take their place.

Thor has no chance to feud with Jormungandr in this life, but with his temperament, he probably has a feud with behemoths.

The one Thor found was naturally the evil dragon Fafnir, who had not been cleaned up in Svartalfheim.

Looking at Fafnir, who couldn't fly, Thor laughed loudly and rushed over.

"Hahaha! Bastard! Let's see if you can fly away!"

Starting with a big move to show respect!

His own father Thanos' "Sky" divine power is so powerful, Thor, as a son, naturally borrowed it without hesitation.

With a wave of his hand, thunderclouds large enough to cover an entire human city made a dull roar, and thunder and lightning began to roar, gathering towards the hammer in his hand.

ps: This is a make-up update, ah bah, it's not a make-up update!!!

My goal has always been to update 4k twice a day as a base, and the rest is added if possible.

I said that I would update 10,000 words a day for a long time, and I have been working hard for this. But the temperature has dropped sharply in the past two days, and I have a slight cold. The speed and time of coding have fluctuated. Sorry.

Uh, there are still 2 more updates before 12 o'clock tonight. Don't wait after midnight.
