Focus back to the country.

Liaodong Province, Dalian City.

There are currently two shipyards that can build 100,000-ton nuclear-powered ships. Dalian Shipyard is here, and the other is Jiangnan Shipyard.

In the huge shipyard, the first domestically produced aircraft carrier is under construction.

But today's matter has nothing to do with domestic aircraft carriers.

In one side of the dock, the debris has been cleared away. This is a very large dock that can build 200,000-ton oil tankers.

Of course, this kind of shipyard can only be said to be average in China. After all, there are dozens of shipyards in China that can build ships of 300,000 to 500,000 tons.

In the dock, the keel of a ship is being built. With the assistance of a large gantry crane, workers are busy splicing and assembling.

Ship designer Zhao Dian and others are discussing details with shipbuilding engineer Wang Jianshe and others.

"Designer Zhao, do we really want to build this kind of thing?" Wang Jianshe, holding the design sketch, asked again.

Zhao Dian raised his eyebrows and replied: "The decision was made by the superiors, what do you think?"

Wang Jianshe smiled bitterly and complained: "But what is this thing made for? Even if it is placed in a museum, it takes up space."

Zhao Dian spread his hands and replied: "Don't worry, this ship is not useless. Firstly, it can verify some new materials, and secondly, it can accumulate some armor technology."

"All right!"

Wang Jianshe looked at the design sketch in his hand, and then looked at the aircraft carrier in the dock next door, and he suddenly became more depressed.

Others build aircraft carriers, but he builds antiques.

"Old Wang, don't be perfunctory. This is one of the key tasks above." Zhao Dian reminded.

"Know."

Zhao Dian also complained: "I was confused at the time. In order to design this ship, I traveled to Japan for several months to find a lot of Yamato-class restoration design drawings, and used simulation space and a large It took me more than half a year to complete this boat."

"But what's the use of this kind of iron coffin? They won't fight with you in the battle line, so it's not right to show it to tourists in a museum! This is an enlarged version of yours, and it's not a real Yamato class."

"The devil knows."

The two complained while watching the keel being laid.

The keel is laid very quickly. In the modern shipbuilding industry, most shipyards, especially large shipyards, adopt the segmented shipbuilding method.

The so-called segmented shipbuilding method is to design the ship into modules similar to building blocks, and then these modules are manufactured from other supporting factories and then transported to the shipyard for assembly.

The ship on the dock uses a partial segmented shipbuilding plan.

Why it is said to be partial, because this ship will use another brand-new shipbuilding method to achieve the purpose of rapid shipbuilding.

The laying of the keel and high-strength alloy frame was very quick, taking less than a week.

Today Wang Jianshe, Zhao Dian and others are waiting for the 24 important modules coming from Lingnan.

Zhang Qinghai, chairman of the Lingnan Nuclear Industry Equipment Group, personally escorted two pieces of equipment over here. This piece of equipment is the Jinwu Type-2 nuclear fusion reactor that was just developed.

After modularization, the Jinwu Type II is composed of 12 small modules.

"Chairman Zhang, have your equipment arrived?" Wang Jianshe asked quickly.

"Already at the port, our engineers are also here." Zhang Qinghai handed the list to the other party.

In order to maintain confidentiality, the name of the nuclear fusion reactor is marked as a nuclear fission reactor, and the confidentiality is very strict.

In the next few days, under the guidance of engineers from Lingnan Nuclear Engineering, the shipyard quickly assembled the 24 modules of the nuclear fusion reactor.

Then there is the installation of electric motors and propellers. This is also Dalian Shipyard's first attempt to change steam turbines into electric motors.

In fact, electric motors also have advantages, that is, they start up very quickly and can complete the speed increase within a few minutes, unlike steam turbines which need to be warmed up for a period of time.

In addition, it is also to support the Jinwu nuclear fusion reactor, because the Jinwu nuclear fusion reactor directly generates electricity. If a steam turbine is used, it will be superfluous.

Moreover, the volume and weight of the electric motor are only about 30 to 40% of that of the steam turbine, which can greatly save the space and payload of the ship.

This ship is an enlarged and enhanced version of the Yamato-class, with a total displacement of 167,000 tons, and is equipped with two Jinwu-2 nuclear fusion reactors.

However, many data and equipment modules are unknown to Dalian Shipyard, especially the above-mentioned electrification equipment, weapon modules, etc., these are confidential parts.

For example, the chief designer Zhao Dian only knows the general shape and weight of the modules that the ship needs to be equipped with, but does not know the functions.

After the two Jinwu-2 nuclear fusion reactors were installed, security personnel were on duty 24 hours a day.

Time flew by.

By September 15, the ship's keel, high-strength alloy frame, energy system, and power system had been laid out.

A layer similar to the formwork used in building a building has been installed around the frame of the ship.

Zhao Dian, Wang Jianshe and others once again gathered on the tower.

"Start pouring." Wang Jianshe ordered using the walkie-talkie.

"receive."

Six special pumping trucks continuously pump up the seawater, filter the sand and debris, and then inject it directly into the formwork.

The rock-forming agent placed at the bottom of the ship in advance expanded rapidly, filling the entire template without leaving any gaps.

In less than an hour, the hull's outer shell and internal watertight bulkheads were formed in one piece.

"Report, the hull pouring is complete."

"Prepare to dismantle the formwork." Wang Jianshe ordered.

"receive."

With the help of the gantry crane and jib crane, the formwork pieces were removed, revealing the gray-white shell.

The texture of artificial rock is similar to that of stone.

Wang Jianshe was also very nervous. This was their first time trying to build a ship using this kind of artificial rock, and they didn't always have much confidence in their hearts.

Obviously, this kind of artificial rock is of the same family as the artificial rock used for island building in the South China Sea. However, there are some differences between the rock-forming agent used in shipbuilding and that used in island building, which is similar to fiberglass.

Not only is the strength higher, the density and hardness are also very suitable.

Generally, the strength of shipbuilding steel is between 300 and 700MPa, while the strength of shipbuilding steel in the United States and Lucia can reach more than 1,000MPa, and the strongest in China is only 690MPa.

The strength of special artificial rock can reach 950MPa, and the overall strength of the internal high-strength alloy frame can reach about 1200MPa.

In addition, the toughness and density of the ship are not bad. The density of the special artificial rock is only about 71% of that of ship steel, but with the support of the alloy frame and keel, the toughness can reach about 127% of that of ordinary military ships.

Of course, these data are all simulated and calculated in the simulation space. This is the first time a ship has been built. Whether it is a mule or a horse will not be known until it is pulled out and run around.

As the formwork pieces were removed, more than half of the hull was exposed, leaving only the island and deck that have not yet been poured.

They need to remove the formwork of the internal cabin before pouring the deck and island.

The removal of the outer formwork was relatively simple, but the troublesome part was the inner compartment. The dismantling work took three days to complete the cleaning of all the formwork.

However, before pouring the deck and island, they still need to perform another task, which is to test the sealing of the hull and watertight compartments.

Thank you for your support, and thank you book friends "Tigerhill", "Shuxin", and "Qingtianyi" for your rewards!
