The control circuits of all wheel drive mechanisms are on one board. It is possible that the power supply of a drive circuit has a short circuit, which caused Yutu-1 to lose its ability to move.

According to ground simulation tests and speculation, due to light miniaturization, the wires are very thin. It is possible that when it drove over a large rock during its walking process, the skin of a wire was cut by the rock, and the wire short-circuited with the lunar rover support body. This is the greatest possibility.

Since Yutu-1 is on the lunar surface, it is difficult to actually verify and cannot be repaired, so it can only become a lesson. This point should be fully considered when designing similar equipment in the future, and effective measures should be taken.

So there was the later Yutu-2 lunar rover.

This second Little Rabbit has been working since it was launched and landed, and it hasn't broken down until now. It is a real model worker.

I said before that if the lunar rover breaks down on the Moon, there is no way to repair it. That was when no one landed on the Moon. When humans landed on the Moon, they actually repaired cars on the Moon.

At that time, the American manned moon landing sent a manned lunar rover to the moon to serve as a means of transportation for astronauts.

This "Apollo" lunar rover weighs about 210 kilograms, has a simple structure, and the whole vehicle is similar to the chassis of a normal vehicle. It can also be folded. After unfolding, it is 3 meters long, has a wheelbase of 2.3 meters, and is 1.1 meters high. It has 4 wheels.

Later, the scientists on the ground asked the astronauts to find a few pieces of paper in the manned module, and then use tape in the manned module to stick them into the shape of a fender.

There is very little lunar dust in the manned module, so the tape is very strong, and then they used clamps to fix the paper fender on the original fender.

The modification of the lunar rover by Pathfinder is also very simple. Although the weight of the Pathfinder lunar rover is greater than that of the previous American manned lunar rover, the length and width are not that long, so there is no need for two-person seats, and it is directly determined as a one-person "standing position".

Sitting is not allowed, because the newly modified driving position is in the back, so in order to increase the field of vision, the astronauts are not allowed to sit down, but a standing bracket is added. There are hooks behind the bracket, which can hang other vehicles or simple carts.

The astronaut stands in the back, and the control handle is installed at hand, connecting to the core control system of the lunar rover.

To install the battery pack, the amateur battery pack roughly installed by the robotic arm must be removed, and then replaced with a specially manufactured new battery pack, which can make the lunar rover go further.
