The Admiral of Hogwarts

#10 - Cleaning up

During the subsequent interrogation, Veneto executed two more thugs, citing one's involvement in anti-government armed groups in his hometown and his indiscriminate killing of innocent people. The other was accused of raping a woman to death.

These actions terrified the surviving thugs, who eagerly confessed their crimes, revealing their superiors and hideout locations. They also disclosed the misdeeds and whereabouts of numerous other scumbags in the area.

"What's going on with her?" After interrogating the thugs, Veneto met up with Hood at the alley entrance and saw the victim, who had mostly recovered.

"She's a compatriot of yours, VV," Hood said, using Veneto's nickname to avoid revealing her real name. "She's a student at the Turin Academy of Fine Arts, traveling during this time. She came here tonight to see the art museums in Whitechapel."

"But it's already past midnight. Is she crazy?" Veneto exclaimed in disbelief. "Isn't coming here at this hour asking for death? Even I, an Italian, know that London's East End isn't a place for ordinary people at night."

"She just wanted to find artistic inspiration at night," Hood replied. As a lady, she understood the occasional unconventional behavior of aspiring artists. "I imagine this isn't too strange for Italians, is it?"

"That's your prejudice," Veneto countered, shaking her head. She spoke to the young woman in Italian, then, after a brief discussion with Hood, escorted her to safety on her motorcycle. Upon her return, she saw Hood tossing the thugs with broken legs into a pile in the corner.

"What should we do next?" Hood asked, turning to Veneto, who had just returned and parked her motorcycle, after stacking the last thug on top of the others in the alley corner. Having obtained information about various criminal dens around Whitechapel, she sought advice from a professional regarding their next move.

"We aren't gods, and we can't eliminate all evil in the world," Veneto said, approaching Hood. "But we can do our best to make the world a better place. For example, the two of us can eliminate the evil individuals near the Whitechapel area and re-establish true order here."

"And, by the way, gather enough money to establish a foothold in this world and create a solid material foundation for the arrival of our sisters later. We can't let them start from scratch like us," Hood added. "Anyway, taking money from these thugs is the fastest way for us to make money without violating our principles."

They exchanged a smile, then retrieved their weapons from their ship equipment spaces and headed towards the chaotic Whitechapel area. For them, the upcoming task was merely a simple hunt.

After bypassing some thugs patrolling the streets and cautiously surveying their surroundings, the two arrived at a three-story red brick building. According to the confessions of the thugs, this was the most evil den in the entire area, engaging in human trafficking and flesh peddling, and sometimes selling human organs.

The reason for choosing this place as their primary target was simple: Veneto and Hood hoped to rescue more innocent people.

"We should scout it out first," Veneto said, raising her right hand with the air of a leader, looking at Hood's chest. "However, my carrier-based reconnaissance aircraft isn't very useful for indoor reconnaissance."

"I know what to do," Hood replied, unbuttoning her collar. Two plump cats, one ginger and one calico, emerged from her collar. She scratched the little creatures under their chins and commanded, "Ginger, Fishcake, go inside and check out the situation, especially the locations of those with weapons."

"Meow, meow," the cats meowed softly, then silently climbed up the wall to the roof, and slipped through a gap in the roof. Throughout the process, Veneto stared at the cats with envy, mentally comparing the difference between having cats and not having cats.

"Damn it," Hood's expression grew increasingly grim after the cats entered the building. This startled Veneto, who was pondering the cat issue. "What did you see inside?"

"See for yourself," Hood said, transmitting everything she saw through the admiral network to Veneto. After seeing it all, Veneto's face also turned grim.

"Leave no one alive after entering except for the victims," Veneto said, her voice sounding as if it could freeze anyone who heard it into ice. "Humans can sometimes be kinder and nobler than us ship girls, but some can be more evil than the Abyssals. I can't understand how they can commit such atrocities against their own kind."

"So we were right to come here today," Hood said, her face also covered with frost. "Wait five more minutes for Ginger and Fishcake to finish scouting, then we'll move immediately."

After a long five minutes, the two went to the back of the building, removed their cumbersome helmets, and climbed up to the third floor. Clearly, to prevent the innocent from escaping, all the windows in the rooms had been welded shut with thumb-thick steel bars.

But this level of defense was obviously useless against ship girls. Hood stepped forward and gently grabbed two adjacent steel bars, pulling them apart with her hands. The bars, which would have required a jack to separate for ordinary people, were forcibly bent apart, creating a gap large enough for someone to pass through.

Upon entering the room, the two ship girls immediately smelled a stench and saw a messy bed in the dark room placed in the corner.

"You—" Hearing the sound behind him, the man immediately turned around. But before he could make a sound, Hood lunged forward and punched him in the neck. He convulsed and fell to the ground, his neck twisted to an unnatural angle.

The little girl on the bed cowered in the corner, while Veneto and Hood, in the eerie silence, stepped over the corpse in the middle of the room and pushed open the door.

The following rooms were all similar to this one, each equally horrifying. The two ship girls displayed their coldest side as weapons, snapping the necks of every beast in human skin.

After clearing the third floor, they had Ginger guard the only stairwell, cutting off the thugs' emergency escape route. Then, they crept down the stairs to the second floor.
