The Admiral of Hogwarts
#383 - Soul Connection
"Hugo, Hugo, what exactly is going on with me?" Harry asked, somewhat nervously, looking at Hugo, who was deep in thought after suggesting contacting others online.
"That should be the special magical connection my sister was just talking about," Hugo quickly recovered after Harry called him and stared at him as he spoke.
"Because the other party used your blood when they were resurrected, their soul has formed some kind of connection with you. That's why you can see some of what they see through their eyes."
Hugo explained in vague terms, feeling he couldn't tell Harry right now that he was Voldemort's Horcrux. "However, because of this, this dream is not a small matter, and you should immediately tell Headmaster Dumbledore."
Seeing Harry's reluctance, Hugo emphasized, "The reason Headmaster Dumbledore has been going out so often lately is because he wants to find that person, but in reality, he hasn't had much success because he is as good at hiding as a viper."
"In this situation, any clue is very useful to the Headmaster, including your dream. So, you absolutely mustn't be embarrassed about spacing out in class and not tell the Headmaster—"
Harry wasn't the type of person who was completely unreasonable, especially since Hugo emphasized Harry's importance at this time. After hearing these words, his resistance disappeared.
"Alright, I'll go see the Headmaster again tonight," Harry nodded to Hugo, then said seriously. "I promise to tell the Headmaster about my dream."
"That's the right thing to do," Hermione nodded, then Ginny, who was on the side, said, "I believe the Headmaster will definitely have a way to solve the problem with Harry."
"Hey, by the way, Harry. You said you can see some things through the Dark Lord's vision, so can you maybe go look at some—" Just then, Ron next to him said, but he was interrupted by Vineto before he could finish.
"Shut up, don't give Harry bad ideas!" After shouting to silence Ron, Vineto looked at Harry seriously and said, "What Ron just said was a very bad suggestion."
"Why?" Harry asked, puzzled. "You just said that Headmaster Dumbledore has been tracking Voldemort, so if I can really connect to his eyes, then maybe I can see some very important things."
"But it's more likely to be a leak," Vineto sighed and said. "In this kind of two-person soul connection, the side with the stronger magic is more likely to control the initiative."
"So, the Dark Lord can see everything on our side through Harry's eyes!" Ron's eyes widened as he heard Vineto say this.
"Not only that, but the other party can also create illusions to transmit false information and set traps," Vineto said seriously at this time.
"For example, if the other party creates an image of kidnapping Ginny or Ron, you are very likely to walk right into Voldemort's trap."
"This—" After hearing Vineto say this, Harry fell silent because he realized that if he really encountered such a situation, he would indeed be very likely to rush directly into Voldemort's trap in a moment of impulsiveness.
"Transmitting false information to lure Harry isn't the worst possible scenario," Hermione suddenly added at this time. "If this connection is strong enough, the dominant party can even control the actions of the weaker party."
"So, that person can control my every move through this connection?" Harry was truly shocked this time and subconsciously looked at Ron.
"Very likely," Ron nodded and said, "Because the soul is the most complex thing for wizards, so the fact that that person used your blood to be reborn does indeed create the possibility of controlling you through the soul."
"Especially since the Dark Lord is the most powerful dark wizard after Grindelwald and has mastered countless powerful spells, so it's very reasonable that he has mastered some kind of magic that can sense and manipulate you through the soul connection."
"Don't be nervous, Harry," Seeing everyone saying one thing after another, Harry's face became more and more unsightly, Hugo went up and patted Harry on the shoulder and said.
"Even in the darkest of times, Hogwarts, with Headmaster Dumbledore, is the safest place, so I believe the Headmaster should have a way to solve this problem."
"I understand, I'll go find Professor McGonagall now to tell her about this. That way, when the Headmaster comes back, she can notify me to go see him directly," Harry nodded and said.
Judging from Harry's mood when eating breakfast the next morning, Harry must have received some effective news from the Headmaster that night, and after inquiring, it turned out to be the case.
"Just like you said, Headmaster Dumbledore told me that I am in a disadvantageous position in this soul connection," Harry said to Hugo, who had come to inquire, in an empty corridor.
"He believes that this time it's just that Voldemort hasn't discovered my existence yet, which is why he allowed me to see that scene before. But he will soon realize this special connection between us and use it to try to harm me or others."
"That does sound bad," Vineto sighed, then asked. "Did the Headmaster propose any solutions, such as trying to sever this soul connection between you?"
"Because the other party used my blood to be resurrected, even the Headmaster doesn't have a very good method for this connection," Harry shook his head, "But he suggested that I can follow Sirius Black this summer to learn Occlumency to reduce possible information leaks."
"So that means you'll be staying with Sirius Black this summer?" Hugo asked curiously, because he remembered that Harry seemed to have been kept at his aunt and uncle's house throughout this summer in the original text.
"No, it's just that we can meet sometimes during the day," Harry's mood was a little low. "Since I can see everything Voldemort sees through his eyes, then he can do the same through my eyes."
"And Sirius Black and Professor Dumbledore, they want to organize some reliable people to fight against Voldemort, so they can't take me to their secret base."
"This—Harry, don't be sad," Ginny put her hand on the back of Harry's hand and said, "No matter what others do, I will definitely find a way to find you this summer."
"There's nothing to be sad about," Harry gently put his other hand on Ginny's hand, and then said. "After all, this is what I should do in this war."
"Compared to others risking their lives fighting on the front lines, my way of fighting is to try as much as possible to isolate myself from others and avoid leaking our side's secrets."
When he said this, a look of unwillingness appeared on Harry's face, but there wasn't much of the resentment or anger from the original text.
The reason for this is because Harry knew part of the situation, and his character also made him choose a lonely path when he knew the inside story, in order to help others as much as possible.
