The Admiral of Hogwarts
#425 - comminicate
“You went to the cave with those Mutual Aid Society members this time, right? Can you tell me what it was like?” Sirius Black met with Dumbledore at a coffee shop outside the day after the funeral.
“Those ladies are very skilled in casting spells. I would even say that most pure-blood elites are inferior to them. Besides that, I can confirm that they are indeed not pure-blood witches.”
“Oh, how did you figure that out?” Dumbledore leaned forward slightly, a curious expression on his face, because a wizard's bloodline is difficult to discern from the outside.
“Because of habits. Wizards who live in the wizarding world are different from wizards who live in the Muggle world.” Sirius Black smiled and said, “Some of their habits clearly indicate that they grew up in Muggle families who don't use magic.”
“However, their magic is indeed powerful. At least I can confirm that even the youngest of the three is more powerful than me.”
After speaking, Sirius Black used his wand to extract some memory strands from his temple, then took out a small glass bottle from his pocket, put the strands in, and handed it over.
“Let me see.” Dumbledore took the small glass bottle and inserted the tip of his wand into the bottle, then closed his eyes and began to examine Sirius Black's memory.
“Alright, I understand roughly.” After watching these memories, Dumbledore nodded. “This Mutual Aid Society is indeed not made up of dark wizards, so we can cooperate with them next.”
“Yes, they are not dark wizards.” Sirius Black nodded. “But the magic they used before was obviously strange. For example, they don't seem to use wands very much, and the magic they use is also…”
“Don't worry, those are just minor details.” Dumbledore waved his hand and said. “There are countless types of magic in the world, and not all wizards use wands, so there's nothing strange about that.”
“For us, it's enough that they can have a consistent attitude with us when facing Voldemort. As for everything else, it doesn't matter much.”
The reason why Professor Dumbledore trusted the ship girls was simple: the magic that Glory and the others used before was full of holy power.
In this world, some magic is closely related to a person's character. For example, the Cruciatus Curse is certainly used well by dark wizards, while the Patronus Charm has almost become a symbol of a good wizard.
Therefore, the feeling of holiness and light revealed by the holy light magic used by the ship girls before gave Dumbledore a sense of reassurance and led him to make the decision to deepen cooperation.
“Today's lunch is really good, is there any news?” After meeting with Headmaster Dumbledore, it was just lunchtime, so Sirius Black was just in time for lunch.
“Very good news.” Hugo took out a newspaper and a letter from behind. “The news is that Professor Lupin sent a letter saying that he found a place abroad where werewolves and ordinary people can live in harmony, so he plans to live there permanently.”
“This is really good news.” After opening the letter and reading it, Sirius Black was genuinely happy for his friend.
You should know that discrimination against werewolves is very common in the wizarding world, so even though Lupin was a prefect in school and graduated with excellent grades, he couldn't find a good job, so he has been down on his luck for the past ten years.
So, after seeing the new life described in his friend's letter, Sirius Black was naturally happy for his friend who had suffered a lot. As for Lupin's request at the end of the letter to find some non-dark wizard werewolves to work for him.
Sirius Black naturally planned to help him with this, because on the one hand, it could help his friend, and on the other hand, it could reduce the number of werewolves on Voldemort's side.
“Professor Lupin sent us a similar letter last month, and I have already written to one of our distant relatives to let him go to Russia.” Ron said after seeing Sirius Black reading the letter.
“He used to be an Auror, but unfortunately, he was bitten by a werewolf in an operation two years ago. Since then, he has only been able to make a living by doing odd jobs and is often kicked out by his employers. The only thing worth celebrating is that his wife has never abandoned him, but this has also increased his guilt.”
“So my uncle went directly to Russia after receiving our letter. Recently, he sent us a letter and several photos. From the photos, it seems that he has indeed found a good place.”
The Weasley family is a very large family, so naturally not everyone can be pure-blood. For example, his uncle is a half-blood wizard who grew up in the ordinary human world, so he was accepted by Hugo and the others.
“Isn't it said that once an Auror is injured, the Ministry of Magic will pay for all treatment and subsequent expenses? Why is your uncle still living so hard?” Hermione suddenly asked after Ron finished speaking.
“Theoretically, that's the case, but Umbridge proposed a budget cut bill two years ago, and the most important cut was to the monthly subsidies for those incapacitated Aurors injured on duty.” Fred said in a sarcastic tone.
“Is this guy's brain flooded?” Although Hugo had seen it in the data before, he still couldn't understand Fudge and Umbridge's thought processes. “In this case, what morale is there for the Aurors?”
“According to them, we are now in an era of peace, so we need to reduce some unnecessary expenses, such as the wealth spent on armed forces.” George looked helpless.
“You know, dangerous professions like Aurors are often only engaged in by Muggle-borns, half-bloods, or some pure-bloods who are not doing well, so naturally, they cannot have any impact on this appropriation.”
“If Scrimgeour hadn't couldn't stand it anymore and tried to find a way to extract funds from the Auror's office to subsidize them, many families would really have fallen into desperation.”
“Scrimgeour specifically argued with Fudge several times about this matter before, but unfortunately, the upper echelons of the Ministry of Magic are mainly members of pure-blood families, so naturally, there is no way to reverse this decision.”
“Actually, one of the most important tasks that Percy is doing now is to find a way to reorganize the bills clearly, so that those bills look more reasonable.” Fred added.
“Even my father, a person who firmly abides by the rules, can't stand this kind of thing anymore. Last time, he secretly told Percy which expense reports could be slightly increased, and it's best not to add numbers to those expense reports.”
Mr. Weasley is, after all, a staff member who has worked in the Ministry of Magic for most of his life. Although his previous position was not conspicuous, he is very clear about the operating rules inside the Ministry of Magic, so he will naturally impart some valuable experience to his children.
“Okay, let's not discuss these upsetting things anymore. Everyone, hurry up and eat.” Just as everyone was discussing the brain-dead behavior of the Ministry of Magic, Mrs. Weasley brought a stew pot and placed it on the table.
“It's not good for your health to talk about so many unhappy things while eating. You can talk about anything after you finish eating.”
