The Admiral of Hogwarts
#451 - Christmas
Because the holidays were approaching, the most important things during this period, besides decorating the castle, were the Christmas plans. Unfortunately, Hugo's parents still needed to develop the Far East market and couldn't return for the time being.
Therefore, Hugo and his sister would spend a week visiting their parents during Christmas, while the rest of the time would be devoted to the new outer space exploration project.
"Going to the Far East sounds amazing," Ron said enviously one day while studying together in the library. "However, if you guys are bored at home during the remaining time, you're welcome to visit the Burrow."
"Tomorrow is Christmas, finally we can leave this place for a while," Hermione asked Hugo in the common room on the evening of Christmas Day. "Have you packed your luggage yet?"
"Don't worry, everything is definitely packed," Hugo nodded and said. "You know me, I always prepare faster than anyone else before every holiday."
"That's good, we can go to the train station with our luggage when the time comes," Hermione said, staring at the snowflakes outside the window. "I hope everything goes smoothly before the holiday and nothing happens again."
"I wouldn't bet on that," Hugo shrugged after hearing his sister say that. "After all, that old woman in pink and Harry are both at school, and either of them is a troublemaker."
Obviously, some things are destined to happen. The day before Christmas, Harry stayed in the D.A. room very late because he spent a lot of time chatting with Ginny over tea after everyone else had left.
Naturally, he received a warning from Ron, as her brother, after returning to the common room. Although Ron himself agreed to his sister dating Harry, he was still worried that Harry would mistreat Ginny.
Naturally, Harry patted his chest and assured his brother that he would treat Ginny well no matter what and would not let her get hurt.
Perhaps because the successful date had kept Harry's brain in a state of excitement, it took him much longer than usual to fall asleep after lying in bed.
In his dream, he dreamed of guiding everyone in the D.A. practice, and then he dreamed of chatting with Ginny. However, this scene didn't last long before an unexpected transformation occurred in the dream.
In the dream, Harry found his body becoming soft, powerful, and flexible, gliding between shiny metal fences and on dark, cold stones. His body was close to the ground, sliding on his belly. The light was dim, but he could see the light of the surrounding objects, some strange and vivid colors.
Even stranger, he felt like he had a 360-degree omnidirectional view, and after careful feeling, he realized that he now had six pairs of eyes, able to see everything around him.
Turning his head, he saw a person sitting on the ground, his head drooping on his chest, his outline flickering in the dim light. Harry felt that he longed to bite this dozing person with his teeth, but it seemed that an order in his heart restrained this impulse.
But the dozing person woke up, jumped up, and a silver cloak slipped from his legs. Harry saw his bright, blurred outline standing in front of him, and a wand was drawn from his belt.
He had no choice but to stand up and attack, but a strange barrier popped up from a metal plate under his feet, blocking the attack.
He attacked again. Perhaps the poison on his teeth had taken effect. This time, the barrier flickered a few times and then shattered, and the metal plate shattered all over the ground.
His fangs fiercely shattered the magical defense that the person had hastily released, and bit down on the person's arm in front of him, feeling the arm bone shattering between his teeth, hot blood…
The man screamed in pain… and then fell silent… slumped against the wall… the venom took effect… blood dripped from his mouth to the ground…
His forehead hurt terribly… as if it was about to explode…
"Harry! Harry!"
He opened his eyes, soaked in cold sweat, the sheets wrapped all over him like a body suit. He felt like a hot poker was stuck in his forehead. His vision was blurred with pain, but he had to tell Ron, this was crucial…
"Your dad," Harry said, panting, his chest heaving, "Your dad… something happened… he was bitten, badly, there's blood everywhere."
"Harry, mate," Ron said doubtfully, "You… you're just dreaming."
"No!" Harry said violently, determined to make Ron understand, "Not a dream, not a normal dream. I was there, I saw it… I did it!"
The accident before Christmas made Harry and the Weasley family tense and busy, but these things were not revealed to others.
So Hermione was a little curious on the Hogwarts Express back to London why she didn't see Harry and the Weasley family, especially the twins who would definitely be running around the carriages if they were on the train.
"Something probably happened," Hugo gently shook his head. "Just like I guessed before, Harry always has some things happen around Christmas every year, so it's expected that something will happen this year."
When they got off the train at King's Cross Station, they saw that the Christmas atmosphere here was very strong. In the hall of the train station, a huge Christmas tree stood there, covered with glittering decorations.
Hugo and his sister hurriedly walked under the decorations, then took a car back home, simply packed their luggage, and rested for a day. The next day, they used the sub-dimension to reach the Sky One Space Station.
"Greetings, my Commander Comrade," greeting them here was Soviet, and the reason she appeared in this place was because she needed to escort a batch of supplies to Mars.
"Have you had any new news recently?" Seeing that there was still some time before the spaceship departed, Hugo immediately turned his head and chatted with Soviet.
"Everything has been very smooth during this time. If there's anything special, it can only be said that those giants and trolls in the Ural Mountains who are not on the same path as us have withdrawn with that group of Death Eaters," Soviet said after thinking for a while.
"Besides that, there is also a group of black wizards who don't know where they came from, running rampant in the Ural Mountains, claiming that a Dark Lord will establish a true kingdom belonging to wizards in Britain."
"However, these guys have basically been cleaned up by us, and after seven or eight people from the periphery of this group of Death Eaters were killed by us, they didn't continue to send people over."
"The other side will definitely not come over," Hugo nodded slightly after hearing Soviet say this. With the ship girls' level, doing this kind of cleaning work must be very easy, so whether those black houses that were exploring the road were in labor camps or already buried in the ground.
And once the entire area becomes a black hole that absorbs people, the peripheral black wizards who are paid to do things will naturally not come to die wave after wave.
And this also made Hugo realize that the scope of this war in the British wizarding world was much larger than he had imagined. At least according to Soviet's observations in Eastern Europe, both the Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix were preparing for war throughout Europe.
That is to say, the war in Britain is not just a war belonging to Britain, but can be regarded as an epitome of a war launched by the entire Western magic world.
