#136 - A baby is born! Congratulations! It's a combat robot
Unlike the bustling maternity ward (?), the rest of the Avengers were in the building's own bar, celebrating a hard-won victory.
Steve was talking to Nick Fury, while Pietro sat with his sister Wanda, and judging by his gesticulations, he was probably touting his own accomplishments.
Amidst the lively crowd, some were particularly vocal, with Thor being the loudest.
Thor was enthusiastically proclaiming his heroic deeds, not out of vanity, but because, as a typical Asgardian, celebrating victory with mead and recounting his feats was perfectly normal.
The others were used to it; in fact, a loud voice to liven things up was quite welcome.
Moreover, Thor didn't just boast about his own exploits; he would also praise others. From his lips, you could hear an entire, thrilling battle recounted.
One couldn't help but wonder if Asgardians had a natural talent for being bards, or if Thor was just a special case.
"You really should have seen it," Thor said, a hint of respect in his eyes.
"A warrior of that caliber is rare even in Asgard."
"This is quite unusual," Hawkeye said, looking at Thor in surprise.
"I don't think I've ever seen you praise someone so highly."
"I certainly won't be stingy with praise for a warrior of that caliber," Thor said matter-of-factly.
Asgard's martial spirit made him admire the Energy King Kong greatly. Although Thor didn't say it, he felt that the other's strength might be on par with Odin, the King of the Gods.
"What do you think, Natasha?" Hawkeye turned to the Black Widow beside him.
"Me?" Natasha was taken aback by being suddenly called upon, then said,
"I'm more interested in how Diamond Warrior suddenly became someone else."
"That's true," Hawkeye also realized the key point.
"Do you know what's going on, Thor?"
"I don't know," Thor said, still appearing nonchalant.
"I guess it's a technology similar to the Rainbow Bridge, just swapping someone out. It's not a big deal."
"For Earthlings, it's not that simple," Hawkeye said, looking at the boastful Thor with a dark expression.
Just as everyone was chatting animatedly, a loud crash suddenly rang out.
However, no one panicked. Having experienced the Ultron incident, everyone had a contingency plan.
Agents quickly drew their concealed weapons, kicking over nearby tables and chairs for cover. Researchers quickly and orderly headed to the emergency exits, preparing to evacuate.
The Avengers were even faster. Thor threw down his drink, summoned his hammer with a wave of his hand, and leaped in front of the others, seemingly to protect them.
Natasha reached under the table, pulled out two pistols, and Hawkeye detached two ornaments from his belt. He pieced them together in front of his chest, and the ornaments snapped open, transforming into a bow.
He then touched a box-like buckle on his belt and pulled out a short arrow, which extended into a full-length arrow with a flick.
Steve stomped his foot, and the shield beside his foot bounced into his hand.
Fury pulled out the pistol on his belt, and seeing everyone ready, couldn't help but say,
"Looks like everyone is well-prepared."
"We have to learn from our mistakes after being attacked once, Director," Hawkeye said, drawing his bow and aiming in the direction of the sound.
Just as everyone was tense and preparing to face the attacker, a red figure passed through the wall and came before them.
The crowd could now clearly see the newcomer, a naked, robust body, scarlet skin with several silver-gray stripes.
"Natasha," Hawkeye said solemnly to the Black Widow beside him.
"What is it?" Natasha asked.
"Did he just walk through the wall? Did I see that wrong?"
"You didn't see it wrong," Natasha replied. "Because I saw it too."
"Wait, this looks like that thing Thor brought back," Hawkeye seemed to suddenly realize something. He looked at the newcomer's forehead and said,
"Is that the Mind Stone?"
"What?" Steve was shocked upon hearing this and also noticed the yellow gem on the other's forehead.
"Oh no," Natasha sighed. "Isn't this another creation of that crazy scientist?"
The red humanoid looked at the crowd, who were on full alert, opened his mouth and slowly said.
"Please put down your weapons, don't worry, I have no malicious intent."
"You think we'll just put them down because you said so? That would make me lose face," Thor said, waving the hammer in his hand.

"I am not threatening you, Mr. Thor," said the red humanoid.
Just as the situation was tense, our mad scientist, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and the shapeshifter finally arrived late.
"Put down your weapons! Put down your weapons!" Tony shouted, gesticulating wildly.
"He is Jarvis!"
"Jarvis?" Thor was stunned, and even dropped the hammer in his hand, smashing it on the ground in front of Jarvis.
"To be precise, half of what is inside this body used to be," Jarvis nodded.
"Half? Used to be?" Steve frowned, looking at Tony.
"What's going on here, Stark?"
"It's a long story," Tony coughed, obviously preparing for a long speech.
"Then make it short," Fury glared at Tony with his only eye. He knew that if Tony started talking, the real reason would likely be glossed over.
Tony was choked by Fury, and helplessly swallowed the draft he had prepared.
"In short, I uploaded Jarvis's consciousness into a body created by Ultron, so celebrate, now we have a powerful ally."
Tony raised his hands, as if he had done something great, but did not see his teammates, Banner was standing awkwardly aside, and the shapeshifter had long since disappeared.
After listening, Fury silently put down the gun in his hand and covered his face with both hands.
"The King of Wakanda, T'Chaka, will come to collect the vibranium soon, and now you've pulled this stunt, I really..."
Seeing Fury's blood pressure rising, and his black skin turning red, Tony had no regrets.
Tony Stark's rule, even if there is 99% wrong, as long as there is 1% right, then I don't need to repent.
Unknowingly, the Tony in the movie universe has developed some of the scumminess of the comic world.
"There's still time, Tony! Quickly transfer Jarvis's consciousness back!" Fury shouted as if grabbing a life-saving straw.
"Sorry, I can't."
Tony's answer made Fury's blood pressure rise again.
