#312 - Flash Timing
The spinning manhole cover was now a blur, its original form unrecognizable. If its material could withstand even greater energy, Yang Le could have pushed it several levels higher. But even without reaching its limit, the electromagnetic cannon's destructive power was considerable.
Besides everything else, the deep, long gash it carved into the ground was already a nightmare for road maintenance crews, not to mention the electrical equipment in nearby shopping malls, which had all suffered varying degrees of failure.
Yang Le was quite satisfied with the power of this first railgun shot. Unlike the hulking, simple-minded appearance of Buzzshock, you had to use your brain to effectively utilize this alien hero, not charge in like Ben as a mindless brute.
It was a pity, though, that Buzzshock had been heavily nerfed by the authorities. Otherwise, he would have been the strongest alien besides those few with overpowered abilities.
Even so, Buzzshock's strength shouldn't be underestimated. He possessed extremely high durability, considerable strength, and potent elemental damage. Buzzshock even had the reflexes to catch XLR8 and agility comparable to Rath.
He was a well-rounded alien hero capable of handling most battles. If not for his intimidating appearance, Buzzshock would be an alien with no apparent weaknesses.
The thick smoke dissipated. Despite Yang Le's warning, the Parasite clearly didn't have the speed to evade the railgun. Even though the power wasn't set to maximum, the Parasite had to expend almost all of his energy to block the attack.
Even then, the Parasite was now battered and bruised. He collapsed powerlessly to the ground, unconscious, his limbs twisted to varying degrees, likely fractured.
"I think he's really out cold this time," Green Arrow said, appearing beside Yang Le. He seemed to be talking to Yang Le, but his eyes kept darting to Kid Flash in Yang Le's arms.
"I think so too." Yang Le handed Kid Flash to Green Arrow. "Kid Flash is okay, just exhausted and unconscious."
Green Arrow took Kid Flash and said, "This happens after the Parasite drains energy. He just needs to rest and recover. But that's not important right now. Thank you for your help, Buzzshock?"
"Just call me Yang Le." Yang Le put his hands on his hips, deliberately showing off the Omnitrix on his belt. "I think the others in the Justice League mentioned me to you."
"Yes, Batman told me about you," Green Arrow said, pressing a button on his belt. "I'm ashamed that I didn't help you, and you ended up helping me."
"It's fine. The world doesn't revolve around me. There's no reason for everyone to cater to me," Yang Le waved his hand, indicating he didn't mind.
"Thank you for understanding." Green Arrow breathed a sigh of relief. Hearing the familiar roar of an engine, he added, "If you don't mind, let's talk more at my Arrowcave. This isn't a good place for a chat."
A sleek, emerald green vehicle, as sharp as an arrow, sped towards them and screeched to a halt.
"Sorry, the Arrowcar is a two-seater. Can you shrink down a bit?" Green Arrow looked awkwardly at the towering Yang Le. It wasn't that his Arrowcar was small; it was that Buzzshock's height of nearly three meters was just too extraordinary.
"That's not a problem." Yang Le rotated the Omnitrix and selected a new alien hero. A flash of white light, and Yang Le vanished without a trace.
"Where did you go?" Green Arrow looked around. With his superhuman eyesight, he seemed to spot something less than a centimeter tall standing on his Arrowcar.
"Don't tell me that black dot on my car is you."
"I'm impressed you found me," Yang Le said in a thin, high-pitched voice. He shouldn't underestimate heroes. As an archer who relied on his eyesight, it was within his expectations that Green Arrow could find him.
The alien hero Yang Le had transformed into was Atomix. This alien hero's ability was extremely simple: shrinking. Although his original size was already small, theoretically, Atomix could shrink infinitely, even down to the nanometer level with ease.
"In this state, we can fit in one car, right?"
"Of course," Green Arrow said with a smile. "But there's no child seat in the Arrowcar, so be careful."
"Please, that joke isn't funny at all," Yang Le said, his forehead covered in sweat as he flew into the Arrowcar.
Green Arrow smiled and walked towards the car. As for the defeated Parasite, he was naturally handed over to the government. He would probably either be locked up in prison or forced to join the Suicide Squad.
After a period of driving, the Arrowcar entered a hidden elevator, and after a series of elevator operations, it finally arrived at Green Arrow's Arrowcave.
The moment Green Arrow opened the car door, Yang Le flew out and transformed back into a human. Before transforming into Atomix, Yang Le didn't know what megalophobia meant. If not for the innate nature of Atomix's original species in his DNA, Yang Le probably wouldn't want to become Atomix again.
"What amazing abilities," Green Arrow said, holding Kid Flash and placing him on a bed. His hands didn't stop moving as he spoke. "It's rude, but I'm curious about your superpowers. Is this a transformation like Shazam's? Or a shapeshifting like Martian Manhunter's?"
"It's similar to both, but also different," Yang Le chuckled. "My superpowers are like a combination of the two."
Actually, the Omnitrix's abilities were more like the Amazo Armor or Beast Boy, but the former was a villain, so Yang Le didn't mention it, and Yang Le hadn't found any information about the latter during his RV trip these past few days. But that made sense; the Teen Titans hadn't been formed yet, and these younger heroes were probably still in the state of not having debuted.
Looking at it this way, Yang Le didn't know which universe he was in in the DC multiverse, but it should be a relatively young universe. After all, Kid Flash hadn't even become Arsenal yet.
Speaking of which, Yang Le suddenly remembered a rather hellish DC timing method his friend had mentioned: the Flash timing method. If Barry hadn't sacrificed himself, it meant the timeline of the story was relatively early. If the Flash was Wally, it proved that Barry was already dead, and the timeline was relatively late.
Seeing that Yang Le didn't want to continue the topic, Green Arrow didn't press the matter and focused on treating Kid Flash.
