#324 - The young bird must fly alone
First, let's be clear, Yang Le agreed to Batman's request not for the money, but because it could indeed bring many conveniences.
Firstly, by agreeing to lead the team, he could join the Justice League, making it easier for Yang Le to obtain the DNA of other alien heroes. Leaving aside the superheroes' DNA for now, he could at least get the locations of supervillains first. After all, there are quite a few alien villains, so Yang Le wasn't doing it for the money.
Secondly, the governments of various countries in this universe have a positive attitude towards the Justice League, which is composed of superhumans. Many countries give the green light to superheroes, and this identity could bring Yang Le many conveniences, so Yang Le wasn't doing it for the money.
Thirdly, they were offering too much. It wasn't just Batman who was paying; Green Arrow and Aquaman also chipped in. After all, Batman mentioned that Yang Le didn't have a job, and with his own '崽' (cub/protégé) under Yang Le's guardianship, this amount of money really wasn't much for a billionaire like Oliver Queen.
As for Aquaman, he didn't contribute money but told Yang Le to ask for anything he needed and he would try his best to fulfill it. With the salaries offered by two super-rich individuals, Yang Le basically wouldn't be short of money.
Aquaman's promise was the real reason Yang Le was truly tempted. The mineral deposits in the deep sea, these countless resources in the deep sea, are the real treasure, so Yang Le really wasn't doing it for the money.
As for Yang Le's original travel plans, they wouldn't be delayed, strictly speaking. After all, the Justice League has to deal with super criminals all over the Earth, and they have to go everywhere. Yang Le's main task as a guardian is to ensure that the young ones don't die or get injured. Normally, he wouldn't participate in the missions, and he could wander around when he had nothing to do.
Traveling around and getting so much money, it's simply a great job, but of course, Yang Le wasn't doing it for the money.

"Now can we talk?" Wonder Woman Diana asked Batman in front of her.
After Yang Le agreed to be the guardian, the Justice League dispersed. However, the Big Three, with their years of understanding, secretly gathered together after leaving. The location was the Batcave.
"Bruce," Superman softly called out his friend's name. "Why did you let Yang Le join the Justice League? And you said that Diana and I agreed. Generally speaking, someone who wants to join the Justice League needs to be approved by more than half of the members."
The 'more than half of the members' here, of course, doesn't refer to half of all the members of the League, but half of the main members, that is, the original members who founded the Justice League plus a few qualified members, also known as the founding members or the Big Shots.
As the center of the Justice League, the Big Three naturally have some tacit privileges. If the Big Three agree on something together, it will most likely pass directly, just like Yang Le joining the League just now.
However, most of the time, the Big Three's opinions are not unified. After all, the Big Three's growing environments are too different. Although the three of them have justice in their hearts, their worldviews are different, so this privilege has basically not been used many times.
But today, Batman actually used the privilege without prior notice, which made the other two Big Shots confused, especially a certain Kryptonian who abandoned his super brain for an external brain.
"Just like I said just now," Batman sat in the chair, only when he was with his two friends would he be so relaxed.
"I just had a sudden idea. I thought of this idea after seeing Dick and the others cooperate."
"What do you mean?"
Clark and Diana also found seats to sit down. From their skilled movements, it could be seen that they often visited the Batcave.
"Originally, based on the assistants' performance, I wanted them to go back to their respective heroes to study for a while, but two reasons made me change my mind."
Batman pressed the button on the supercomputer, and information about Yang Le immediately appeared on the screen, including a human, a Flash speedster, an electromagnetic powerhouse, a lightning yeti, and a question mark.
"This is what we currently know about the forms Yang Le can transform into," Batman pointed to the alien heroes separately. "The human form goes without saying, the blue form has the Speed Force, and according to Green Arrow's report, the Frankenstein-like form, like the yeti, has the ability to release and control electromagnetism. It's just unclear which is stronger."
"What about this?" Diana pointed to the question mark in the corner.
"This was reported by Shazam," Batman explained. "According to him, he was fighting Black Adam at the time, but he didn't know when he fell asleep. I think Black Adam fell asleep like him, so I speculate that Yang Le also has a form that can put people to sleep, and I have reason to suspect that he has more forms."
"Is there a problem with that?" Superman asked.
"The problem is big, Clark," Batman's eyes flickered. "We don't know the principle behind his transformation ability. Is it magic or technology? If it's magic, that's fine, but if it's technology, what do you think the source of these abilities will be?"
"Turning people into completely different creatures, the only thing I can think of is genetic modification. If that's the case, he definitely needs a lot of DNA to have so many forms."
Batman stared at the two of them and said seriously: "If he really has ulterior motives, I guess he might be coming for the DNA of the superhumans in the League, especially you two, Clark, Diana."
After listening to Batman's speculation, Superman and Wonder Woman also became serious. If it was really the same as Batman's speculation, then no matter what Yang Le wanted to do, his danger level would greatly increase.
"But these are just my speculations," Batman turned off the supercomputer. "So, in order to better monitor Yang Le, I let him join the Justice League and made him the guardian of the assistants, so that he can always be in our sight."
"But if Yang Le is really a dangerous element, then aren't the assistants in danger?" Superman frowned.
"Relying on themselves to contact and discover Yang Le's true face, this is their first mission," Batman turned around, not letting people see his expression, but for the two superhumans, this was useless.
"We can't protect them forever, Clark. The difficulties we faced when we debuted were no less than theirs, but we still persevered until now, so I believe they can also do it. I even believe they can do better."
"Fledglings will eventually fly alone," Batman's tone was firm, as if he was persuading his two friends, and as if he was persuading himself.
