#333 - Chapter 333
"I don't know what you're talking about?" The white-clothed mutate still looked at Yang Le warily. This was normal; no one would trust a suspicious person who suddenly appeared.
"I know you're wary of the big shots who might be listening in," Yang Le saw the white-clothed mutate's concern. "But don't worry, I've already taken care of the listening devices in this area, and I also know that the key to your original plan was Superboy on level negative fifty-two."
The white-clothed mutate fell silent, and after some deliberation, said, "Tell me your thoughts. I'll make a decision after I've heard them."
"I need to scan the DNA of the strongest individuals from all kinds of genetic mutations," Yang Le raised his right hand and clenched it. "And I also need all the superhuman DNA that Cadmus has in reserve."
"I'm guessing that in order to create you and your kind, the Cadmus Institute couldn't have just used Superman's DNA, right?"
"Your appetite is bigger than I imagined," the white-clothed mutate said.
"You're right, researching us did require a lot of superhuman DNA, but the Cadmus Institute doesn't store that much DNA. You should understand the principle of having multiple escape routes, right? Those big shots wouldn't put all their eggs in one basket."
"Then who's DNA does Cadmus have?" Yang Le didn't feel disappointed after hearing this. Although he had envisioned sweeping everything up, normally that was impossible. After all, Cadmus was originally one of Lex Luthor's fishing baits.
That's right, one of the masterminds behind the Cadmus Institute was Lex Luthor. This bald man didn't think about hair growth, and as always, acted as Superman's obsessed fan, collecting various biological remnants of him and combining them with his own DNA to create Superboy, which was somewhat perverted.
Of course, the mastermind at this time wasn't just the bald man alone, there were other super hero's rivals involved, these people also formed a villain team called the Illuminati (laughs)
This organization, which also claimed to be the smartest people in the world, lived up to their self-praise. At least they really had a plan in it, much better than the Illuminati next door.
"Superman and Black Lightning," the white-clothed mutate spat out two titles. "Superman's DNA was used to develop Superboy, and Black Lightning's DNA was used to develop those electric-generating creatures."
Yang Le nodded. Although the DNA storage only had two, one of which was the useless Black Lightning's DNA, the other Superman's DNA could make up for all the shortcomings.
"Take me to the place where Superman's DNA is stored," Yang Le said.
"Why should I do that?" The white-clothed mutate tilted his head. "You haven't said what you can bring to me yet?"
Yang Le grinned, activating the Omnitrix's scanning function. The Omnitrix, located on the chest of the Ice Ghost, shot out a light curtain that scanned the white-clothed mutate from top to bottom.
The white-clothed mutate was suddenly startled, thinking he had received an attack. He used his telekinesis to pull himself back to create distance while manipulating the debris on the ground to smash towards Yang Le. Various building materials submerged Yang Le. The white-clothed mutate even used telekinesis to compress the various building materials into a one-person-high sphere.
"Dong!"
The sphere lost the control of telekinesis and smashed to the ground, even smashing out a small pit. The white-clothed mutate slowly exhaled a breath, thinking he had solved his opponent, but saw Yang Le drilling out of the sphere.
Yang Le patted the wings draped over his body, swept away the non-existent dust, and said, "Why so nervous? I just wanted to show you my ability, like this."
As soon as Yang Le finished speaking, he emitted a burst of white light. When the white light dissipated, the white-clothed mutate's pupils shrank when he saw the scene in front of him.
A genetic mutate who looked almost exactly like him was standing in front of him. The only difference between the two of them was that Yang Le's body was obviously stronger than the white-clothed mutate's, especially the double horns on his head, which were as enchanting and beautiful as red agate.
"Now I know why you want to scan all the mutants," the white-clothed mutate squeezed out these words from his throat after a moment of silence. "But you don't have to bother scanning other mutants, I am already the most powerful and comprehensive of the mutants."
"I can feel that," Yang Le raised his right hand in front of him and exerted a little force. The normal palm instantly turned into a claw. "Razor claws, mental abilities..."
"Super strength, iron skin, regeneration," the white-clothed mutate interrupted and continued. "I have everything that other mutants have, and I have what they don't have."
"It seems you're not as well-behaved as you look on the surface," Yang Le said with a smile. "These abilities weren't something you had from the start, right?"
"That's right," the white-clothed mutate revealed a wry smile. "I was originally prepared to rely on myself, so I changed my DNA, but later I found that my abilities were basically much weaker than the original version, so I pinned my hopes on Superboy."
"Your choice was correct," Yang Le pushed the sphere behind him with his hand. This was to test his strength. He found that he could push the sphere, but it would take some effort to lift it.
"I can lift up to 50 tons of weight at my highest," the white-clothed mutate understood what the latter was doing from Yang Le's movements. "But if you add the assistance of telepathy, you can lift 70 tons of weight, but this is still not as good as Superboy."
"I don't understand, you obviously have far more power than us, why do you still want to scan our DNA?" The white-clothed mutate asked in confusion.
"That's because of my plan," Yang Le turned to look at the white-clothed mutate. "I'll be blunt, I am the leader of the group of brats who broke in here. Our mission is to explore the secrets of Cadmus, but those brats want to do something big on their own initiative."
"After a short period of getting along, I found that these children always want to go against adults, so I need an identity that can blend into the children, and that's why I need your genetic mutation DNA, and of course, Superman's DNA."
That's right, Yang Le's plan was to create another identity and blend into the children. As for why he didn't directly transform into a new alien, but chose these mutants, there were three reasons.
First, these mutants have a clear source. By becoming one of them, Yang Le doesn't need to tell countless lies about his identity. This can not only hide it from the children, but also deceive the Justice League.
Second, blending into the children may make it easier for him to collect genes. As long as he uses the identity of the child properly, he can do many things that the adult identity cannot do.
Third, it can be abandoned at any time. This temporary identity's combat power is not very high. If there is a risk of exposure, he can make it die without proof. Yang Le might feel sorry if other aliens in the small broken watch went offline because of this. This weak and unremarkable genetic mutation is indeed the best cannon fodder.
