#372 - Big Event: Wild Alliance (5) The end of the Big Three

"Buzz, buzz!"

Hearing the static from the communicator, Yang Le knew something must have happened to Batman. Reaching this conclusion, Yang Le dialed another number.

"Hello?"

"Dick, Batman is likely in trouble. I need you to go and help him. I'll transmit the data to your personal computer shortly; it will contain a detailed explanation."

After speaking, Yang Le hung up without giving Dick a chance to ask questions. He moved Black Lightning into his beat-up car, tossed the Starro variant into the refrigerator, and instructed the car to send the data to Dick.

Having done all this, Yang Le reopened the communication device and contacted Cyborg.

"Cyborg, can you hear me?"

"This is Cyborg. Thank goodness someone finally contacted me."

Hearing the relief in Cyborg's voice, Yang Le couldn't help but frown; there was too much information in that sentence.

"What's going on? Can't you contact anyone else?"

"I can still reach Superman, but Wonder Woman and Batman have been unreachable since just now. As for the others, I'm afraid their situations are dire."

"Can you contact Swamp Thing?" Yang Le unleashed an electric current to scare away a group of transformed orcs. "With such a large-scale human transformation, I don't think the Green would stand idly by."

"I'm afraid not." Cyborg sighed. "Swamp Thing's location is not fixed, and we have no means of contacting him."

"Then let Flash find him, or have those magicians think of a way."

Faced with such a large-scale human mutation, even the broken watch was somewhat inadequate. Moreover, even if the orcs were transformed back into humans, they would transform again as long as the Starro variants remained inside them.

"Tell me Wonder Woman's location; I'll go take a look."

As soon as Yang Le finished speaking, Cyborg sent a coordinate to the computer in the beat-up car. Without hesitation, Yang Le controlled the car to rush there at full speed.

Dick quietly walked along the corridors of Wayne Manor. After reading the information Yang Le sent him and considering that he hadn't seen Alfred or Bruce for a long time, Dick immediately realized something was likely wrong in the Batcave.

So, he took out his privately stored equipment and cautiously advanced toward the Batcave. Dick didn't choose to contact Bruce or Alfred; he was aware of the dark forest principle and wouldn't expose himself easily in uncertain circumstances.

To be cautious, Dick didn't even choose to enter the Batcave from inside the house but took another secret passage left by Bruce, to prevent running into enemies lying in wait.

Passing through the corridor and gently pushing open the secret door, Dick peered into the Batcave. The location of this secret door was carefully chosen by Bruce during construction, allowing a clear view of most of the Batcave while remaining difficult to detect.

Sure enough, Dick's gaze fell upon a Doberman-like orc in the corner, squatting in place, seemingly doing nothing.

Initially, Dick didn't recognize who this orc was, until he saw the fragments of a tuxedo on the orc's body. He immediately realized it was Alfred.

'If even Alfred is in trouble, then Bruce must be in danger.' Dick knew that Alfred was the family member Bruce valued most. If he knew Alfred was in trouble, he wouldn't stand idly by.

Dick scanned the Batcave again. What he found strange was that he couldn't find Batman anywhere. Could it be that Batman hadn't returned to the Batcave?

Because Yang Le didn't know Batman's location, the information given to Dick naturally didn't mention where Batman was, so Dick could only rely on his own deductions.

After thinking for a while, Dick decided to deal with Alfred first. According to the information Yang Le provided, humans would fall into a state of frenzy after being turned into orcs, attacking all life around them indiscriminately.

To help Batman, he would need the equipment inside the Batcave. The odds and ends Dick had on hand were definitely not enough, and Alfred, now an orc, was the biggest obstacle.

However, Yang Le also mentioned that the strengthening of ordinary people after becoming orcs was limited. Alfred, over half a century old, was already an old man, and even if he transformed into an orc, that wouldn't change. As long as Dick was careful, taking out this old dog wouldn't be difficult, perhaps even simpler than dealing with Alfred in his human state.

Dick quietly pushed open the secret door and slowly crept out, tiptoeing away from Alfred. In that direction were many of Batman's collectibles, all taken from criminals. Among them was something perfect for dealing with orcs.

However, the tiptoeing Dick didn't notice that above him, on the ceiling of the Batcave, a huge black shadow was watching him intently, like a predator watching its prey.

Controlling the beat-up car, now transformed into an aircraft, Yang Le landed on an open space. He had arrived at the coordinates Cyborg gave him—Midway City, the territory of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

According to the news Cyborg transmitted to him on the way, Hawkman and Hawkgirl had already become orcs. Wonder Woman was called to Midway City by Batman to check on the missing Hawkman and Hawkgirl, but unexpectedly, she was attacked by both of them.

Picking up the communicator on the ground, Yang Le had just gotten it in his hand when it shattered into several pieces. No wonder he couldn't track Wonder Woman's location; it would be a miracle if he could find her.

Just as Yang Le was troubled about how to find Wonder Woman, a loud hawk cry attracted his attention.

"Bang!"

Wonder Woman used all her strength to finally break free from Hawkman's control, then used the Lasso of Truth to bind Hawkgirl and smash her into another suddenly appearing orc.

That orc wore a uniquely styled suit of armor with a striking helmet on its head. Under the helmet was the head of a feline, looking like a black panther. Although the armor and helmet could reveal the identity of the person, none of that was as striking as the short sticks on the orc's claws.

"Big Barda…" Wonder Woman wiped the corner of her mouth, not just to wipe away the blood, but also the liquid composed of saliva and mucus.

Just now, Wonder Woman, who was still suppressing Hawkman and Hawkgirl, was attacked by the orc-ified Big Barda. Two fists were no match for four hands, especially since the opponent now had six hands. Big Barda's combat power was not weaker than Wonder Woman's.

Surrounded by three people, Wonder Woman was already in a rather disheveled state. Her shield was nowhere to be found, and her sword had fallen at Big Barda's feet. All she could use now was the Lasso of Truth binding Hawkgirl.
