My name is Peter Parker, and I was bitten by a radioactive spider, after which I gained superpowers.

So, for the next ten years, I became the one and only Spider-Man in this world. You know the rest: with great power comes great responsibility.

I fought crime year-round. Honestly, I didn't like the job at first. I had no time to spend with Aunt May, no time to go on dates with Mary Jane.

Oh, and the suit was way too tight, especially, well, you know where.

But like a bottle of fine wine—oh, that sounds a bit too high-end and doesn't fit my friendly neighborhood image.

Let's try that again. Like, oh well, I can't think of another analogy right now, so let's stick with the wine.

Like a bottle of fine wine, the older the vintage, the more valuable it becomes. As time went on, I found my job wasn't so bad after all.

People loved me more and more, and I fell in love with the job. So, for those who loved me, no matter how many times I was knocked down, I would always get back up.

This time is no different.

"Bang!"

A red and blue figure burst through the glass and crashed into the wall. The immense impact even caused cracks to appear on the wall.

"Oh! My back!" Peter cried out in pain. A blurry, giant black figure rushed towards him like a bolt from the blue.

Peter kicked off the wall and dodged the attack. After a bang, the wall shattered.

"Oh, this scene reminds me of the Lego set I never finished as a kid."

Peter shot out a web and distanced himself from the black figure. A piece of debris flew and hit him in the face, falling into his empty hand.

"Similarly, it was also kicked to pieces by bullies. It's just like my childhood trauma."

Peter examined the piece of debris for a moment before throwing it at the black figure.

"Hey, Norman! I know you're crazy, but I didn't expect you guys to try and blow up Brooklyn!"

The debris passed through the rolling smoke, and a muffled sound came a moment later.

"Thud!"

"Strike!" Peter raised his hands and cheered. "I hit you in the head just now, didn't I? I've hit you many times; I definitely won't mistake that sound."

Peter was answered by an angry roar and a thick steel bar.

Peter leaned back and dodged the flying steel bar.

"Seriously, that must have hurt."

"I'm going to tear that mouth of yours apart!"

Norman roared as he burst out of the smoke, his wings flapping as he charged towards Peter.

Norman relentlessly pursued, and Spider-Man nimbly dodged.

The Green Goblin was full of openings, and Peter seized the opportunity.

"Boom!"

Spider-Man's right fist landed squarely on the Green Goblin's face. The Green Goblin went back as fast as he came, completely dazed and disoriented, collapsing in the debris and unable to get up for a long time.

"Seriously, Norman, you're scarier when you're human."

Peter, the working-class hero standing on the wall, taunted the capitalist lying in the pile of debris.

'This is why I love this job,' Peter thought secretly in his heart, but his spider-sense was buzzing.

Releasing the bio-electricity from his feet, Peter immediately fell from the wall, which allowed him to dodge another attack.

"Boom!"

A purple phantom with incredible force shattered another wall. Seeing this, Peter opened his annoying mouth again.

"Seriously, do supervillains have to smash through a wall to show how strong they are when they appear? Do you have that much money to repair it?"

"I do have a lot of money," the Green Goblin said, climbing up from the debris. His height of over 3 meters made the building materials look miniature.

"Hey! I didn't ask you!" Peter, the working-class hero, pointed at Norman in annoyance.

"Enough to dedicate a truckload of flowers to your funeral!"

Norman grabbed a crane arm from the side and swung it at Peter. Peter tried to dodge, but his super vision allowed him to see a small black figure screaming on the crane arm.

"Ah!"

'Miles?' The purple figure also saw the little guy, struggling internally. Just as he was about to step forward to rescue him, a figure was even faster.

Spider-Man shot out a web, grabbed a container from the ground, and with a forceful arm, swung it at the Green Goblin, who was too large to dodge and was sent flying.

The crane arm slipped from his hand, and Miles, terrified, lost control of his bio-electricity and fell from the crane arm.

Spider-Man, like a flash of lightning, shot out a web and caught Miles as he fell from the sky.

Miles was covered in sweat, shrinking into Spider-Man's arms, still in shock.

"Seriously, kid, I never thought I'd be princess-carrying a boy one day." Peter saw that Miles was terrified and decided to say something flirty to divert his attention.

"Buzz!"

Both of their spider-senses triggered at the same time. Peter looked at Miles in surprise.

"I thought I was the only one. You're like me?"

"I... I don't want... this." Miles's skin was pale, and his teeth were chattering, but he could still speak.

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice, kid." As Peter spoke, he took Miles to a safe place.

Peter put him down and said softly, "I know you're confused. Trust me, I understand how you feel right now."

"Oh... sure." As soon as Miles landed, he sat on the ground. The experience just now had really made his legs weak.

"Don't worry, you'll be okay." Peter squatted down and patted Miles on the shoulder.

"Once I'm done, I'll teach you a couple of moves."

Peter wanted to say a few more words, but a loud mechanical roar interrupted him.

"Oh, I have to go." Peter got up immediately, not forgetting to tell Miles as he left.

"Wait here for me; I'll be back soon."

After saying that, he shot out a web and swung towards the source of the sound.

After Peter left, Miles struggled to stand up from the ground, rummaging through his pockets for his phone, wanting to call the police, but he couldn't find it no matter what. It must have fallen out of his pocket during the intense moment earlier.

The loss of his phone made Miles dejected. He was lost for a moment, then turned his gaze towards the direction Peter had left.

"There are several of them," Miles swallowed and muttered in a low voice.

"Maybe he needs my help. He also said I'm like him."

Miles hesitated for a while, finally overcoming his fear and taking a step, heading in the direction Spider-Man had gone.

Spider-Man's trail was easy to find; just follow the webs. However, he was walking on foot, so it was much slower.

Miles quickened his pace and soon saw a circular door emitting white light.

Running to the door, the sight before him was jaw-dropping.

"Oh my god." Miles looked in shock at the huge space before him, which was as big as a football field, or even bigger.

The outside of the door was completely white, with a pillar extending from each wall on the left and right sides, with scaffolding standing beside the pillars.

In the middle was a huge piece of glass, directly opposite the door, but it was too far away to see inside clearly.

"Bang!"

A muffled sound attracted Miles's attention. Turning his head, he saw Spider-Man fighting someone in the air.

The purple enemy was spewing flames from his feet, relying on his ability to fly, relentlessly pursuing Spider-Man, making him very difficult to deal with.

However, that wasn't the worst of it, because he had another opponent.

The Green Goblin was lurking on the side, waiting for an opportunity. Taking advantage of Spider-Man's fatigue, he found the right moment and punched him from the side, sending Spider-Man flying and crashing into the glass.

The glass was very strong and didn't even have a scratch. Spider-Man shook his head, and before he could get up, the Green Goblin stepped on him.

"Roar!"

The Green Goblin roared at Spider-Man, spitting out a lot of saliva at the same time.

"Ew." Peter shrank his head, trying to avoid the saliva.

"Disgusting, Norman. I hope you don't have any infectious diseases."

"Good evening, Spider-Man."

A voice that Peter was very familiar with sounded. Peter looked at the glass and saw Kingpin looking at him from the other side of the glass.

"Do you like my new toy? It cost me a lot of money, but I don't care."

While Kingpin was speaking, he kept repeatedly pressing the button on the ballpoint pen in his hand, making Peter not know where to look.

"If I played with a pen like that when I was a kid, my uncle would definitely hit me," Peter commented.

Kingpin ignored Spider-Man's comment and continued to speak on his own.

"Thank you for coming all the way here. Since you're so supportive, I have to let you enjoy the light show I've been preparing for a long time."

Kingpin raised his hand, signaling his men to start the machine.

With the press of the start button, two huge machines roared and slowly started up.
