#869 - Infiltrating the processing plant
The battle could almost be described as one-sided.
Only at the beginning could Bane rely on his combat experience to entangle with the opponent, but after only ten seconds, Bane's nearly thirty years of combat experience, which he was so proud of, was instantly defeated in the face of the opponent's powerful strength.
"One force can overcome ten skills" is the best description of this battle. The opponent punched open Bane's guard, then punched Bane's head, causing him to lose his balance, and then used a body slam to end the entire battle.
However, this was just a facade. Just as the Cobra Cult members were shouting slogans and celebrating their victory, Bane, pretending to be unconscious, took the opportunity to break through the encirclement and escape.
As mentioned earlier, Bane had long discovered something was wrong, so Bane, who had once intellectually suppressed a group of Gotham villains, naturally couldn't be without any precautions.
As early as the first close-range collision between the two sides, Bane discovered that he could not defeat the opponent in a normal battle.
Because of the mask, no one could tell that Bane had actually used his full strength from the beginning, but such effort failed to bring an equivalent return.
Bane found that his enemy not only took the attack, but even looked like he was handling it with ease. Bane understood at the time that even after injecting the Venom drug, he was definitely not the opponent in terms of strength.
Then things were simple. Bane deliberately feigned weakness to end the battle earlier than it actually would, preserved most of his stamina, and then took advantage of everyone's relaxation to escape with all his strength.
This processing plant was Bane's. He participated a lot in its construction, so Bane dared to say that no one knew this processing plant better than he did.
Moreover, Bane had lived on this island for more than a year. He didn't just stay in the factory all the time. He still understood the principle of having multiple escape routes. In addition to the factory, he also had many hiding places.
Relying on these, Bane hid on Santa Prisca Island for a month. During this time, he was constantly gathering manpower, just waiting to take back his base at any time.
Combining Bane's memory, everyone found that the timing matched up. The time when Batman provided the drug and its circulation, and the subsequent time when the drug supply stopped, all matched up.
So this should be the true course of events. It's no wonder the kids are cautious. The fact that he could defeat Batman added a lot to Bane's score, making them have to be careful.
That's Batman, a person whose single word can silence the arguing Justice League, a person who guards the most chaotic city in the world, and even single-handedly defeated the controlled Justice League giants.
Besides, it's always better to be careful. It's good to think more.
The memories of the Cobra Cult goons are useless. They are just the lowest-level goons and cannot participate in the discussion of important secrets. The reason they are here is because they are out to hunt down Bane.
In short, they know what Bane knows, and they are not qualified to know what Bane doesn't know. They are just a group of low-level workers who were tricked into the cult.
"Combining the known information, it seems that the Cobra Cult is occupying Bane's processing plant to produce a new type of drug."
Robin took out his microcomputer and recorded on it as he spoke.
"The composition of this drug is currently unknown, but what is known is that its power is several times stronger than the Venom drug produced and injected by Bane."
"In addition, we know nothing about the amplification rate, side effects, and what the Cobra Cult wants to use it for."
"Sounds like we still don't know anything." Kid Flash scratched his head. It was like he didn't study and went to the exam. He felt like there was something fishy, but he just couldn't figure it out.
"No need to be discouraged." Aqualad patted Kid Flash on the shoulder. "At least we figured out the direction we should investigate. It's better than being a headless fly."
"Yeah, Kid Flash." Miss Martian also floated over. "And I believe our captain already has a plan."
"You guys really think highly of me." Robin smiled wryly. He suddenly felt that Batman's mantle was not so easy to inherit.
Robin cleared his throat and said seriously, "Okay, let's talk about my plan. According to Bane's memory, we know a lot of useful information, but we still need to find out the deeper secrets ourselves."
"It's also good that Bane provided us with other help besides this this time."
As Robin spoke, he shifted his gaze to the side. There was a huge rock there that didn't look special and was buried in the ground.
However, everyone who had read Bane's memory knew that this was actually the entrance to a secret passage. As long as this huge rock was moved away, they could see the passage leading directly to the inside of the processing plant.
Without anyone's command, Wonder Girl took two steps to the rock and lifted the rock, which was two or three heads taller than her, out of the ground with one hand. Sure enough, a dim passage appeared in front of everyone.
This passage looked very simple. There was nothing but support, not even lighting equipment.
But this was not difficult for everyone. Because it was a night operation, they all had night vision goggles in their equipment. As long as they turned on the night vision goggles, they could move freely inside.
Wonder Girl led the way in front, and Miss Martian guarded the rear. The children maintained their formation and sneaked through the long tunnel.
After about ten minutes, everyone saw the end of the tunnel, which was a very abrupt wall. According to Bane's memory, behind this wall was the drug processing plant.
When they reached the wall, Robin consciously walked to the front of the team, made a gesture to let everyone prepare for battle, and then reached out and knocked off the dirt next to the wall.
Sure enough, there was a row of buttons under the dirt. Robin entered a string of numbers according to Bane's memory, and a little light immediately appeared on the wall, which meant that the door was open.
Robin suddenly reached out and jammed the door. He didn't know what the situation was outside. What if there was someone on the other side of the door?
Robin took out his Batarang, pried the door open little by little, and stretched his neck to look outside. All he could see was a pile of conveyor belts or various instruments.
Sure enough, Bane's memory was correct. The secret passage led to the corner of the processing plant. This place was not only a blind spot for monitoring, but also a place that ordinary people would not come to.
Robin gave way, and Habie, who could become invisible, crossed over the others and squeezed out of the crack in the door first. After checking around and finding no danger, he used telepathy to notify everyone.
'Come out, there are no enemies outside.'
As soon as he finished speaking, the hidden door slowly opened, and the children walked out in an orderly manner.
