"Madame Eva…"
Daltry looked at them with a strange expression on his face. If it weren't for the friendship between Lu Li and the Night's Watchmen, he might have even taunted them.
"I know you don't believe in divination, but I received similar information from another source. I think we should take it seriously, just in case this is another Mor'Ladim," Lu Li said.
This seemed to strike a chord with the clerk. Daltry nodded and agreed, "Alright, I'll help you find out about Stalvan."
In the game world where there weren't any computers, searching for information was a difficult task. There was a huge room in Darkshire's hall specifically made to store those documents.
Fortunately, Daltry had been working in Darkshire for more than ten years and was very familiar with everything there.
After only spending a little more than half an hour, he found a record of Stalvan.
"The record shows that he's just a teacher."
Daltry was quite dismissive of Stalvan. What threat could a teacher pose?
"My intuition tells me that there's something wrong with this person," Lu Li pressed on, referencing his made-up intuition.
"In that case, you can take these files. You can give them back after you're done."
Daltry didn't insist any longer seeing as the work had already been done. The result didn't have much to do with him anyway.
"Thank you, and also thank the Night's Watchmen," Lu Li said, showing his gratitude.
He then led Sesame Rice ball away to a secluded place and began to study the files.
In fact, it was just a very crude piece of information. There was only a simple description of his gender, age, history and appearance. It was the kind of information the clerk would record when a newcomer arrived.
Moonbrook.
Both Lu Li and Sesame Rice Ball stopped on this word; this was probably the only clue to their next location.
If they wanted to go to Moonbrook, they would have to travel past the Western Wilderness. Lu Li had been there before on foot, but it wouldn't be too far with the help of the Teleportation Portals.
However, he had a feeling that that wasn't the end point. These kinds of specialization quests prior to the System update were not that easy to complete.
The once-beautiful town of Moonbrook had now been completely destroyed and the river that coursed through it had dried. Only the ruins of houses remained, guarded by the patrolling guards and Mages of the Brotherhood.
The inhabitants of the town had fled due to the constant attacks of the Brotherhood.
Stalvan was a teacher and had worked at Moonbrook's former school, but that had also been looted.
"This place is really gloomy. Who can we ask for information here?" Sesame Rice Ball asked gloomily, no longer feeling like this was a simple errand.
"How about you go ask those monsters?" Lu Li casually teased him.
"But they're just level 20 monsters – how about we kill them?" Sesame Rice Ball asked disdainfully after some observation.
"I completely agree. I'll pull them and you can deal damage. Maybe they'll drop some clues."
Lu Li accelerated and did a lap around the school, leading a dense group of monsters.
Sesame Rice Ball then casted his area of effect skills and a large number of critical hit values floated above the monsters as they fell to the ground.
After quickly looting the bodies, all they found was rubbish equipment and low grade materials. These were all sold at the shop and even the NPC looked disgusted, but the item they needed was also dropped.
It was a letter.
Sir Flintley:
I hear from my friends that you are looking for a teacher for your child. I am currently temporarily living in the Lion's Pride Inn at Goldshire. Given the bad situation in Moonbrook, I was forced to give up my job as a teacher. I would like to be your child's teacher and I hope you accept my offer. If necessary, Mr Murdoch can attest to my ability.
When the rainy season passes and the road is suitable for a caravan to travel, I will personally look for you.
See you then.
Stalvan Mismantle in the Silverpine Forest.
Who was Sir Flintley?
Lu Li didn't know either; he hadn't completed this quest before in his previous life nor had he read the strategy for it. However, he deduced that Sir Flintley was a lower-class knight, who wasn't notable enough to have a biography.
"What next?" Sesame Rice Ball asked as he flicked his hair aside with a bitter look on his face.
"I guess we'll go to Goldshire to have a look. Did you think that this quest would be simple?"
Lu Li wanted to run away when he heard this was going to be some errand quest. Dawn had some quests which were not only troublesome, but also had very vague clues. Lu Li would rather fight a Boss than attempt those.
Goldshire was a small town near Stormwind. The environment was much safer and it wasn't far away.
The owner of Lion's Pride was a man from the seas. Many players had interacted with him before and regarded this NPC as one filled with wisdom.
"What can I help you with, children?"
Lu Li was more experience in dealing with NPCs than Sesame Rice Ball, so he did the talking.
"We're looking for someone called Stalvan, Stalvan Mismantle. But, I don't know if you'll remember him – he was a gentleman who lived in your inn a long time ago."
Uncle Farley thought for a moment before slapping his forehead and saying, "I do remember, he stayed with me for a long time, together with one of his friends. He sent a letter and then left shortly after that. His friend also left at that time, and they haven't been back since. I don't remember much else; it was a long time ago."
"Thank you, Uncle Farley," Sesame Rice Ball said sincerely. He could finally continue with his quest.
Dear Murdoch:
Hello, thank you for your recommendation. I am now the tutor of Aisina, Sir Flintley's daughter. She is a charming girl who is very interested in math and she seems to adore me. You don't have to worry about me anymore. Let me know the next time you're in Stormwind and I'll buy you a couple of drinks.
Your friend Stalvan.
Stormwind City!
Sesame Rice Ball and Lu Li looked at each other and let out a long sigh.
They couldn't believe that this wasn't over yet. Why couldn't Stalvan just stay in one place? Why did he have to travel so much?
Moreover, Stormwind City was bustling with aristocrats; it was going to be difficult to find a single knight there. Even if there were thousands of Dukes, the sheer number of them made the title worthless.
After arriving at Stormwind, Lu Li and Sesame Rice Ball began asking about Sir Flintley.
They had already decided that if they couldn't find anything, they would ask those in the guild who were free to help and would also post a task in the Mercenary Hall for information about Flintley.
However, what surprised them was that Sir Flintley was actually very famous among the NPCs. Even the guards to the entrance of Stormwind knew him.
