The Little Superman of Hogwarts
#218 - Chapter 218 [Exploring the Truth of the World]
Throughout February and March, a series of events at the school provided juicy gossip that captivated almost everyone.
Every young wizard felt completely satisfied. Of course, there were some who were less pleased, like Draco Malfoy.
Ever since Hermione and Ginny became Corey's girlfriends, Malfoy had been secretly plotting behind the scenes.
At first, he seemed to think that the two girls were unaware of each other, so he deliberately wrote notes to both Hermione and Ginny.
When he realized that this wasn't very effective, he changed his strategy and put pressure on the Weasley twins.
This strategy was actually quite useful. However, unfortunately, the twins were quickly 'bought off' by Corey...
By Ginny's first summer, the Weasley parents were also amazed by their daughter's potion-making talent, and they also benefited greatly from potion brewing. Therefore, the couple faced Corey with a silent, static attitude: 'I'll pretend I don't know you, and you pretend you don't see me. Don't bother me, and I won't scold you!'
Malfoy was almost desperate. Why was this guy so popular with girls, and why weren't these girls jealous of each other? He felt that his outlook on life, his worldview, and his values were all being strongly challenged.
In the original story, during the Quidditch match where Harry met Cho Chang, Malfoy dressed up as a Dementor. However, in reality, it seemed that because of Goyle's death, Malfoy didn't do this.
But Malfoy was definitely holding back a lot of anger and always wanted to find some way to torment Corey.
One day, it was a Divination class.
Professor Trelawney, wearing a pair of gloomy glasses, sat on the platform. Today's lesson was about using coins to tell fortunes.
Everyone lacked interest in this kind of course, and the whole class was lifeless. This class was taught jointly by Gryffindor and Slytherin. Malfoy, with a wicked smile, suddenly glanced at Corey and Hermione, who was sitting next to Corey.
Malfoy fiddled with the coins for a moment, and then suddenly began to act with an extremely exaggerated expression: "Professor Trelawney! Oh my goodness, the divination I'm doing right now is so terrifying!"
"What happened? Let me see!" Professor Trelawney asked, puzzled. She leaned forward, her eyes wide as she looked at the tabletop, her left hand supporting her exaggeratedly large glasses frame.
"I just did a divination for all the couples in the class, and the result is very tragic!" Malfoy said with an extremely exaggerated expression, using a Stephen Chow-style of language.
"What did you discover?" Trelawney hadn't reacted yet and continued to ask.
"I discovered that all the couples in our class will face a tragic ending!
Look at the position of this coin!
It shows that one of them will face death! And the person who survives will quickly find another new partner and live with that new partner for the rest of their life."
Corey squinted at Malfoy's performance. The performance was clumsy, but obviously Professor Trelawney actually believed it. She carefully looked at the coins on the table, seeming to think that they really were an effective omen.
Corey and Hermione both frowned. There weren't many real couples in the class. The most famous, of course, were Corey and Hermione.
Considering the relationship between Corey and Malfoy, it was obvious that Malfoy's performance was meant to embarrass Corey.
Corey wanted to swing his fist and smash Malfoy's head, but as he moved forward, Hermione gently stopped him. She took out a vial of potion from her hand.
"Bad Luck Potion!" Corey recognized the potion at a glance.
In the Harry Potter series, few potions attract as much attention as Felix Felicis.
Felix Felicis first appeared in the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
After Snape's teacher resumed teaching, he gave Felix Felicis to Harry Potter as a reward.
This potion is a most peculiar little potion. It's liquid luck that will bring you good fortune. It's incredibly complex to make, and if you get it wrong, the consequences are unthinkable. However, if brewed correctly, like this in this cauldron, you'll find that you succeed in practically everything you attempt – at least until the effects wear off. If taken in excess, it can lead to giddiness, recklessness, and dangerous overconfidence.
It is a very difficult potion to prepare, and corresponding to it is another thing—Bad Luck Potion.
This vial is the opposite of Felix Felicis!
If someone drinks it, you'll find that the person will fall while walking, choke while drinking water, and almost choke to death while eating. Drinking too much will make you feel like you are under the surveillance of the Grim Reaper.
In fact, this kind of bad luck potion is a kind of nerve interference. The potion can infinitely amplify a person's negative emotions and some careless oversights.
For example, when walking, you may see a small step, and you will subconsciously lift your foot. But when you drink the Bad Luck Potion, the Bad Luck Potion will block your subconscious behavior. The consequence is that you may fall even on flat ground.
This potion is actually more difficult to obtain than Felix Felicis because it is equivalent to a kind of dark magic.
Obviously, this is nothing to Hermione, who is proficient in potions. The only drawback of this potion is that it must be drunk by someone.
After completing a surgical operation, you can sell the instruments, sell the equipment, but the only thing you can't sell is your experience.
The Bad Luck Potion was quietly added to Malfoy's teacup.
Malfoy's water cup was of course not the kind that could be used permanently, but just an ordinary glass.
Before class was even over, Malfoy was experiencing one problem after another.
First, he broke the bowl for storing coins, and then when he walked out of the classroom, he took a flat fall.
The road from the classroom back to the dormitory was even more eye-catching, and after arriving at the dormitory, Malfoy's whole face turned white.
Hermione and Corey, after becoming invisible, quietly watched from behind, and they laughed.
I thought this matter would pass like this, but Hermione's mood obviously did not improve.
A few days later, Hermione pulled Ginny to sit next to Corey.
"I think we made a mistake this year!" Hermione said: "As wizards, although we have read almost the entire library, we should not become complacent because of this!"
"We wizards must act to pursue the truth!" Ginny also added from the side: "Explore the truth of the world!"
