The Little Superman of Hogwarts
#240 - Chapter 240 [Quidditch World Cup]
If you were to ask who was the happiest person at Hogwarts during that summer vacation, it would undoubtedly be Harry Potter.
This isn't to say he was particularly happy, but rather that, compared to his other summer vacations, this one was simply like paradise.
In the dozen or so years since his birth, he had never imagined that summer vacation could be spent like this.
Ron had invited him to watch the Quidditch World Cup, which meant that he was truly and formally exposed to the adult wizarding world for the first time. Before this, his circle was always small, either at his aunt's house or at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
During this summer vacation, he witnessed the wonders of the magical world—such as the Portkeys scattered throughout the British Isles for the World Cup, the enormous tents, the huge campsite, and all sorts of magical creatures or little magical trinkets.
The Weasley family rented a tent at the Quidditch World Cup venue and spent a month there.
Harry still clearly remembered the situation on the first day he arrived at the competition venue: chaotic and messy. The competition venue was located in a desolate swamp, and in the thick fog, almost nothing could be seen. Harry and the Weasley family walked for more than 20 minutes in the fog before a strange door appeared, followed by a small stone house.
Behind the house were all sorts of tents. After entering a tent, the space inside was unimaginably large, like a luxurious one-story villa—everyone had their own separate room.
On the way into the campsite, he also saw many foreigners speaking different languages and wearing different styles of clothing, some from the East, some from the Americas, and some from places like Australia, India, and even Japan and Indonesia.
Moreover, during the entire Quidditch World Cup, Harry encountered almost all of his classmates—both upper and lower years. The World Cup seemed to have become another Hogwarts gathering.
However, the only fly in the ointment was—Harry saw that annoying boy—Malfoy!
Malfoy had also come to watch the World Cup!
You must know that only a month had passed since his poisoning incident. Logically, he should be recuperating at home. Perhaps to help him recover faster, Old Malfoy chose to bring his son to watch the game.
Moreover, all pure-blood families would attend at this time, as it was a good opportunity to strengthen relationships and expand their social circles.
However, Malfoy had been somewhat absent-minded recently. He always recalled what Hagrid had said—that the person who saved him was not Hagrid, but that person he hated so much, Christian!
In Malfoy's view, this guy was simply going against him! He originally had two cronies, but now he only had one, because the other had left this world forever.
Although the basilisk caused the crony's death, Malfoy couldn't help but blame everything on Chris.
For example, in this spider incident, Malfoy himself could confirm that it had nothing to do with Chris and was completely an accident.
But the fact that this accident was ultimately resolved by the person he hated the most made him very unhappy.
And at the competition venue, he saw another group of people he disliked, namely the Weasley family and Harry, which made the blond young master Malfoy even more depressed.
Compared to the World Cup match in the original book, this Quidditch World Cup was clearly more chaotic—because a large portion of the Aurors who were supposed to maintain order had gone to chase after the escaped Death Eaters.
The Death Eater breakout was forcibly suppressed by the Ministry of Magic at this time, but the Ministry of Magic presented a state of external relaxation and internal tension. On the surface, they seemed to have given up, but in reality, the pursuit of the Death Eaters had become even more intense. No Auror had time to rest. All those who had requested leave were recalled, and all the Aurors went out to chase the villains.
After finishing his work at the Triwizard Tournament organizing committee, Chris returned home and carefully studied the coin with the image of a slovenly ghost head. This coin was connected layer by layer with different spatial matrices.
It could be said that it was fortunate that Chris had studied the magic arrays in the Time Castle, otherwise he wouldn't even be able to understand the main text.
After several days of effort, he had already opened three of the layers.
On this day, Ginny, who had returned home, sent Chris a letter—the Quidditch World Cup final was about to arrive, and Ginny invited him and Hermione to watch the final.
"Good idea!" Chris agreed.
At this time, Ginny had followed in her family's footsteps and arrived at the competition venue, and had already been here for a few days.
Compared to Hermione and Chris, Ginny's love for Quidditch was heartfelt.
In the original book, she would even become a professional Quidditch player in the future, but now her greater possibility was to inherit Snape's mantle—to become a Potions Master.
Chris quickly arrived at the final venue of the Quidditch match.
At this time, there was still a day and a half before the final.
The campsite was very noisy because there were now over 100,000 people here. 100,000 ducks couldn't keep quiet, let alone 100,000 people. It would be good enough if they didn't turn the Earth upside down.
Chris quickly saw Ginny. She ran out of the tent and waited for Chris at the edge of the campsite. The moment she saw Chris, Ginny rushed over excitedly and hugged Chris tightly.
However, this scene became awkward a second later because Ginny saw Hermione next to Chris…
Hermione didn't say anything, but the disdainful little expression on her face—indicated that she was jealous.
"It's very difficult to rent a campsite now. Why don't you stay with me? We have several empty rooms in our tent!" Ginny invited.
"I would love to stay in your family's tent, but are you sure your father will allow it?" Chris raised his eyebrows.
Ginny was stunned… Mr. Weasley had almost blacklisted Chris. Not to mention staying in his family's tent, Chris believed that even if he stayed in a tent next to the Weasley's house, it would cause Mr. Weasley's mania to flare up.
He probably already had "Chris PTSD"…
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) refers to the mental disorder that occurs and persists in individuals after experiencing, witnessing, or encountering one or more actual deaths involving themselves or others, or being threatened with death, or serious injury, or threats to physical integrity.
For Chris, this playboy, the Weasley couple was really scared…
Mrs. Weasley had been asking her best friends how to get her daughter to escape from the arms of a man who was handsome, good at studying, rich, and very sensible…
Her best friends rolled their eyes at her… Aren't you just showing off?
