The Little Superman of Hogwarts
#90 - Chapter 90 [End of the First School Year (5)]
Six thousand dumplings. By the time Cree finished making them, it was just about time for the evening banquet to begin.
Cree took his seat, and the little wizards chattered away. Some were discussing the Harry Potter situation as reported in the Daily Prophet, others were talking about the dumplings Cree had made for everyone, and still others were simply predicting their exam scores. Of course, these last ones were almost all from Ravenclaw.
Hermione had sat down early and even saved a seat for Cree next to her, with her two roommates beside her.
As the start of the banquet drew near, Professor McGonagall instructed the little wizards to lower their voices. The professors began to arrive one after another—except for Snape, who was absent.
At that moment, the doors of the Great Hall were pushed open.
Harry entered, followed by Ron and three others, walking into the Great Hall together.
The instant they stepped through the doorway, the Great Hall fell silent. Almost everyone stared at the five youngsters.
Cree stood up and shouted, "Our great heroes!" Immediately, he began to applaud vigorously.
In response, the entire Great Hall erupted as if someone had poured boiling oil into it. The little wizards followed suit, and a burst of applause, like an explosion, reverberated through the hall. Even the little snakes of Slytherin joined in.
Next came whistles and the sound of banging on tables. For a moment, the scene was like the arrival of a superstar, Michael Jackson resurrected—oh, he wasn't dead yet at this point. Cree suddenly thought of Mr. MJ, whom he had liked so much in his previous life, and resolved to see him in person if he had the chance.
The Gryffindors had saved seats for the five in the middle of the table. Harry was welcomed like a hero, and everyone couldn't resist wanting to hug him, especially Harry, whom Cree guessed was because he was the most handsome.
After a few minutes, the scene cooled down, and the chattering resumed. Just then, the last person finally entered—Dumbledore walked in with light steps.
The noise in the hall gradually subsided as the little wizards looked up at Dumbledore.
"Another year has passed!" Dumbledore seemed very pleased. He waved for everyone to be quiet and began his speech:
"Before we indulge in these delicious dishes, I must trouble you to listen to an old man's clichés. What a wonderful year it has been!
Your little brains must be richer than before… The entire summer awaits you, allowing you to digest those things before the next semester begins, clearing space in your minds…"
"Now, according to our tradition, we must first conduct the awarding ceremony for the House Cup. The specific scores for each house are as follows: Fourth place—Gryffindor, 269 points!" Dumbledore paused deliberately.
"Third place, Hufflepuff, 342 points; Second place, Ravenclaw, 444 points, and finally, in first place, Slytherin, with an astonishing 480 points."
A thunderous cheer and stomping erupted from the Slytherin table. The little snakes were extremely excited.
Among the four houses, Slytherin always had the fewest members, but they always managed to win first place. Cree admired this quite a bit. Objectively speaking, these people were indeed more mercenary, but their abilities were unique. In a sense, this also proved that bloodline theory had some truth to it.
However, Cree still hated Slytherin very much because Slytherin's main principle was [Bloodline Supremacy], which was clearly a flawed idea. The possibility of a Pan Changjiang or Guo Jingming descendant becoming a basketball player is, of course, almost "0", but one cannot be solely bloodline-based. What if a mutant appeared in the descendants?
Superman, of course, became Superman through his bloodline, but in a world full of magic, one day ordinary humans might be able to evolve into an [Earth Superman] like Kryptonians. The evolutionary process of Kryptonians might not be impossible to replicate on Earth.
"Those Malfoys are really annoying!" Hermione had a big opinion of the little snakes.
"Don't worry, the good part is yet to come," Cree said mysteriously.
Before Hermione could react, Dumbledore continued, "Yes! Slytherin has done a great job!"
"But the recent events, I think, must also be taken into account, don't you think?"
The hall fell silent instantly. The little snakes realized a problem—it seemed the headmaster's words had a hidden meaning, and their smiles vanished instantly.
"Ahem…" Dumbledore cleared his throat, "Let me think of their names."
"Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas!" Every time Dumbledore said a name, the little lions roared. After the five names were spoken, warm applause rang out again.
"They have a very cool name: [91st Legion]! For the 91st Legion… I will add 30 points to each of them! A total of 150 points!"
"Wow!" The little lions cheered instantly. Getting an extra 150 points at once surpassed Hufflepuff, and at least they weren't at the bottom anymore. 419 points wasn't bad.
After the crowd calmed down, Dumbledore said to Harry, "I have a small request. Would you and your legion comrades show off your equipment?"
"Of course!" The five of them exchanged glances and quickly ran out of the hall. Just one minute later, the five reappeared at the doorway.
Neville, holding a golden shield high, stood at the forefront, guarding the center, with Frostmourne raised in his right hand, like a war god.
Seamus was on the left, and Dean was on the right. In the space behind them, Ron held up a bottle of potion, which shimmered with starlight, making Ron appear incredibly sacred. Directly above them, Harry rode a flying broomstick, wielding his wand to shoot out streaks of light.
So cool!
All the little wizards were amazed. Several even reached out to touch the armor on their bodies, wondering how it was made.
Dumbledore nodded with satisfaction and said, "Their armor and regular training helped them defeat the enemy, so I must also award points to the designer of the armor! Let us give points to Gryffindor's Christian Freeman!"
"Gryffindor gains sixty points!"
Gryffindor's score immediately surpassed Ravenclaw, reaching 479 points—only one point lower than Slytherin's 480.
