The Pacifist Necromancer of Hogwarts

A New Year’s letter to book friends

On the first day of the new year, I wish all book friends a happy Year of the Dragon! ! !

I spent a day's free time sorting out the outline, and I hope I can continue to work hard to update orz in the new year.

There are a lot of things I want to say, but when it comes to typing, I write and delete them, which can be considered a kind of speechlessness in the information age.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my crude fanfic across the internet.

When I first started writing it, I had just graduated and was in the irritating period of collecting rejection letters. The time difference separates me from my relatives and friends back home. At that time, the future was uncertain and DDL was approaching. I sent out piles of emails, wrote various cover letters, participated in various interviews, and was rejected in the end without exception. I reviewed my resume repeatedly... lying in my small room all day long. , the biggest amount of exercise every day is to go to the supermarket to buy groceries and go home to cook.

Then I couldn't hold it in anymore, I wanted to hide in some kind of virtual world. Harry Potter has always been my Neverland, so when I turned on my computer and said out loud, “I want to write a story about a guy who somehow gets a job and is happy doing it,” Hogwarts Jump got into my mind.

Yes, this is how the position of Professor of Muggle Studies appears in this fanfic. The original premise was a simple idea: the story of an ordinary person whose life is disrupted by magic and continues to fall in love with his life - supermarket cashier, Muggle Studies professor, or any possible profession (in practical activities Muggles of all professions encountered in the novel) - a story of falling in love with a world full of living people, magical and non-magical.

And falling in love with the world of Harry Potter is simply the easiest thing.

I am very grateful to all the book friends who have accompanied this unfinished fanfic over the past few months. Without you, I cannot believe that I could have written it for so long.

Salmon bowed with a skeleton cat, a wraith chicken, a wraith rat, and an unknown guardian giant black bear.

Also, I have been very entangled with the issue of fan profit for a while. To be honest, I am still struggling with this matter, and I can predictably go through many rounds of self-debate.

I can honestly say that when I first wrote it, I didn’t even think that I would be signed and put on the shelves. So when I got my first royalties, I suddenly didn’t know what to do with the money.

I originally said this when I was planning to write the entire book, but then I thought about it, how can I guarantee that what I write in the future will still satisfy everyone (or even myself)?

So even though it may be very hypocritical, I still want to tell you:

I used royalties (and maybe a little salary) to fulfill a wish I had on my wish list as a kid. When I was hiding under the quilt and watching Harry Potter with a flashlight (and I’m sure I’m not the only reader to do this), the wish I once made is now with your help Achieved.

These certificates should also belong to you.

Editor 2: When I woke up, I didn’t expect it to turn out like this... I just donated 50,000 yuan according to my wish list! It’s hard to say whether I will donate it in the future, maybe I will use it to fulfill other wishes on my wish list x

I post this because I want to have fun with my book friends!

I am not a serious charity person, so sending money to me is not as good as sending money to a charity platform. I would like to recommend a few student aid platforms that I think are pretty good (I hope there are no scams...):

Shijiayi Student Aid: Targeted funding, ten sponsors form a WeChat group, and regularly give 300 to 500 yuan to the sponsored children every month (30 to 50 per person). There are also volunteers and class teachers in the group, who will report on student results from time to time. When students get older, they will join the group themselves.

A Village Primary School: Mainly focuses on one-to-one funding (but there should be no students in need of help on the official website at present), but there are also some other related projects. The annual financial briefing can be found on the official website.

Universal one-to-one funding: It also focuses on one-to-one funding, emphasizing direct contact between the sponsor and the recipient. There are not only channels for donating funds, but also donating items. It was not too long ago that charity donations with relatively variable items were opened, and you can also find less professional briefings on the official website.
