The Witcher: The Journey to Transcendence from Marvel

Chapter 27 The Trouble at Flourish and Blotts Bookstore

Wes stayed on the island comfortably throughout the holiday. The seafood on the island suffered, and the hardworking Jandi cooked various delicious dishes for the host.

The holiday was about to end, and Weiss left the island 3 days in advance and returned to the dormitory of Hogwarts. After not coming back for a holiday, a thin layer of dust accumulated in the room. The thoughtful Jandi immediately turned into a cleaner and cleaned the house thoroughly.

While Jandi was cleaning the house, Weiss decided to go to Flourish and Blotts to see if the books he asked the boss to collect last time were all there.

As soon as Weiss arrived at Diagon Alley, he saw that Flourish and Blotts was very lively at this time. The whole bookstore was filled with people, and there was a long line at the door.

The line extended all the way to the street, like a long snake.

More than 90% of the people in the line were female wizards, and each of them held a book tightly in their hands.

The witches gathered together and talked to each other in a soft voice. Whenever they talked about something exciting, they couldn't help but giggle, and then they seemed to realize their own mistakes and covered their mouths in embarrassment.

"What good thing happened in the bookstore today?"

Weiss glanced at the lively scene around him. Since he came to Hogwarts, he had never seen such a lively scene in Flourish and Blotts.

"Don't you know?"

A witch raised her chin slightly and looked Weiss up and down as if she was looking at a country bumpkin.

"Gilderoy Lockhart held a book signing event at Flourish and Blotts today."

"Who?"

Weiss frowned and thought for a long time before remembering who this person was.

"Gilderoy Lockhart, the most famous explorer and writer in Britain."

Another witch raised her head proudly, as if she was extremely proud of knowing this person.

After she glanced at Weiss with contempt, she ignored him, as if saying one more word to him was a waste of time.

Weiss felt puzzled. Where did this strange sense of superiority come from?

Looking at the crowded Flourish and Blotts Bookstore, Weiss shook his head helplessly. He didn't want to join in the fun at all.

"Let's wait until there are fewer people." So he turned to Florin's cold drink shop, ordered a cup of ice cream, and sat there for an hour.

When Weiss came out of the cold drink shop, the number of people queuing outside the Flourish and Blotts Bookstore did not decrease at all. Weiss had no choice but to use his privileges. As a super VIP customer of the bookstore, he entered the bookstore with the help of the boss.

Such a move naturally caused dissatisfaction among others.

The witches cast angry eyes and muttered something in their mouths.

But Weiss didn't care. He just wanted to get the books he needed as soon as possible and leave this noisy place.

"All the books you want are on the bookshelf over there."

The boss hurriedly greeted him and then went back to his busy work. He was too busy today and had almost no time to rest.

Weiss came to the bookshelf and quietly flipped through the books. These books were collected by Weiss' boss, and each one has unique value.

However, the screams from the book signing event made Weiss unable to calm down. The screams of the witches kept disturbing his thoughts.

Weiss sighed helplessly, and he planned to take the books back and read them slowly.

At this moment, the noise from the book signing event attracted Weiss's attention.

"You are simply a shame for pure blood, and you are actually friends with Muggles!"

The person who said this is undoubtedly a supporter of the pure blood theory.

"Hehe~ The new Muggle Protection Law has made you busy. Have you dealt with the dark magic props in your home? Be careful not to be caught by me."

Another voice responded without showing any weakness, and his words were full of sarcasm.

"Are you threatening me?"

Lucius Malfoy almost pushed Arthur Weasley to the ground in anger.

"How dare you!" Molly Weasley's face flushed with anger, and she immediately threw the book in her hand at Lucius.

Lucius reacted quickly and dodged the blow by tilting his head.

"You..."

Arthur stood up, his body trembling slightly because of anger.

"Beat him, Dad!"

"Show him some color!"

The Weasley twins shouted excitedly, constantly cheering their father.

Their faces were full of expectations, and they were not afraid of making things worse.

"Shut up, you poor red-haired bastards..."

Draco Malfoy raised his chin arrogantly, spraying venom wantonly.

Ron was enraged by his words and pushed Draco to the ground.

Lucius was about to attack Ron regardless of his adult status.

Arthur couldn't bear it anymore, and he punched Lucius in the eye.

Lucius was a little confused by this sudden blow. He was stunned for a moment, and then the anger in his heart was completely ignited.

He no longer cared about the pure-blood honor and the noble face, and wrestled with Arthur.

The two fell to the ground without any image, and they did not stop, like two mad beasts.

The surroundings were crowded with people watching the farce, and they showed various expressions on their faces.

The reporters who were reporting on the book signing event saw this scene, and their eyes suddenly lit up.

They quickly pointed their cameras at the two people wrestling and excitedly took a lot of photos. For the reporters, this will be an excellent news material.

Gilderoy Lockhart also came over, with a false concern on his face. "Stop it, gentlemen! There are still many books. I guarantee that everyone can get my autograph."

Then, he turned his head and whispered to the reporter: "This is a promotional advertisement delivered to your door. Just say that the twenty-eight sacred families are fighting for my new book. What a good gimmick."

After that, he quietly stuffed a sum of money into the reporter's pocket. The reporter immediately understood and found several different angles to take pictures of Lockhart, making it look like Lockhart was trying to stop the fight.

[The sales of this book will explode now! ]

Thinking of this, Lockhart's smile became even brighter.

No mistake, one post, one content, one 6, one 9, one book, one bar, one look!

A large number of female book fans looked at Lockhart's charming smile and became crazy about him, with admiration flashing in their eyes.

"Come and separate them!"

The owner of the bookstore saw the two people fighting and scared away many customers before speaking out to stop them.

Wes watched the farce in silence.

"Separate quickly."

A flash of magic light passed by, and Lucius and Arthur were forcibly separated by magic.

The two stood up, both a little embarrassed.

Lucius quickly tidied his robes to make himself look less embarrassed.

However, his messy hair made him look a little funny, like a bird's nest blown by the wind.

Arthur looked around, and the onlookers had surrounded them in three layers.

Arthur, who always paid attention to his image, felt extremely embarrassed. [This is simply too undignified. ]

"Don't think you will have a good life in the Ministry of Magic in the future, Weasley!" Lucius yelled at Arthur.

Facing Lucius's threat, Arthur did not flinch.

He puffed up his chest: "Don't think I don't know what you did before, you..."

"Shut up!!"

Lucius interrupted Arthur loudly.

The two were about to fight again, and the atmosphere became tense again.

"Gentlemen, you are blocking the door, please move aside."

A calm voice sounded. Lucius and Arthur turned their heads to the source of the voice at the same time.

Lucius frowned when he saw a young wizard he didn't know.

"Who are you?"

Lucius looked like he was questioning.

"Professor Erwin! You are here too!"

Hermione greeted Weiss enthusiastically as soon as she saw him. She introduced Erwin to her parents beside her in a very grand manner.

"This is Professor Erwin, the teacher who teaches the magic rune class in our school."

Erwin greeted Hermione's parents with the etiquette of ordinary people, and the whole process seemed very decent.

Hermione's parents didn't expect that their daughter's magic school would have a professor who understood the etiquette of ordinary people.

"I am a Muggle-born like Hermione."

Seeing the surprised expressions of Hermione's parents, Weiss explained.

Lucius's mouth drew a disdainful arc: "Dumbledore is really old and confused, and he actually hired a mud..."

Wes stepped forward and stared into Lucius' eyes.

"Mr. Malfoy, you've been in the spotlight enough today, how about we stop here?"

Weiss's tone was gentle and his smile was kind.

But Lucius' heart tightened and his hair stood on end.

[How is it possible? Who is this young wizard? Why do I feel the same sense of oppression from him as that person? 】
