The Witcher: The Journey to Transcendence from Marvel

Chapter 7: First day of school, lively ceremony

The annual school season has arrived as scheduled. Platform 9 and 3/4 is now crowded with students and parents who come to see them off.

The noisy voices rise and fall, interweaving into a lively scene.

"A nostalgic scene." A few years ago, Weiss was also one of these many students.

Now, he has boarded the Hogwarts train as a professor, and this scene can't help but make him feel emotional.

Weiss boarded the train calmly and then walked into the single compartment specially prepared for professors.

When the door closed, it seemed as if an invisible barrier instantly blocked all the noisy sounds from the outside.

Presumably, this door must have been cast with some kind of soundproofing magic to have such an effect.

Weiss nodded with satisfaction, then quickly took out the paper and studied it with full concentration. From time to time, the pen in his hand wrote something on the notebook, with a focused and devoted expression.

"Woo woo", as the chimney of the locomotive belched out billowing steam, the body of the train slowly started, and the train full of students with expectations and longings drove towards Hogwarts.

When Weiss was completely immersed in the state of selfless study, a rapid knock on the door suddenly sounded.

Weiss frowned slightly, raised his head with displeasure, and said helplessly: "Come in."

The door was gently pushed open, and two children, a boy and a girl, stood timidly in front of the door.

The boy shrank behind the girl, and when he saw that there was an adult in front of him, his body trembled even more, and his head was buried deeply in his chest, as if he wanted to hide himself.

The girl obviously did not expect to meet an adult on this train that was almost full of students, and in a separate carriage.

"Sir, have you seen a toad? Neville's toad is gone."

Neville tugged at her clothes carefully and said carefully: "This gentleman should be a professor at Hogwarts. We should be polite."

"Excuse me, sir." The sharp-eyed Hermione saw the paper on the table at a glance and became excited instantly, "Sir, are you studying magic? Great, I have never seen real magic research, is it possible?"

Hermione's mouth was like a string of cannons, blurting out questions one after another, and she was so excited that she completely forgot the original purpose of coming here.

Weiss felt his head swell and felt a little headache, so he had to interrupt Hermione: "Excuse me, young lady, I don't know your identities yet."

"My name is Hermione Granger, he is Neville Longbottom, we are both first-year freshmen at Hogwarts."

Hermione did not seem to be shy at all in the face of the adults' questions, and introduced generously.

"Miss Granger, I didn't see the toad. And, as you can see, I'm busy. Can you please close the door? Thank you."

Wes stopped looking at the two and returned his attention to the paper in his hand.

"Sorry, sir, I disturb you."

Before Hermione was about to continue speaking, Neville showed agility that was extremely inconsistent with his body, quickly pulled Hermione out of the carriage, and did not forget to reach out and close the door.

Hermione pouted, her face full of anger and grievance: "What? How can such an indifferent person become a professor?"

After saying that, he turned around and left with his short legs in a huff, and Neville followed him silently.

Without the interference of the two, Weiss was immersed in his studies until the train stopped smoothly.

After getting off the train, Weiss walked briskly and soon arrived at Hogwarts.

He came to his own office on the seventh floor. The room was very simple, but very tidy.

Wes opened the box and Jandy came out.

"I have discussed with Headmaster Dumbledore. During my tenure, you can move freely in Hogwarts, but you must remember not to affect other professors and students."

"I will follow your orders, Master."

Wes put on a brand new robe, stood in front of the mirror, and carefully checked up and down.

"I have to go to the opening ceremony, you clean up here."

The hall of Hogwarts is magnificent and spectacular, and the towering ceiling seems to reach the vast starry sky.

The ceiling is simulated by exquisite magic into the vast night sky, with twinkling stars, as if countless bright gems are inlaid in it, shining brightly.

Four huge long tables are neatly arranged, and students from four colleges are sitting on them.

On the walls around the hall, there are large portraits of past headmasters. Their lifelike expressions seem to be silently watching everything happening below.

The floor is carefully paved with smooth marble, which can clearly reflect people's figures, like a huge mirror.

The flags of the four major colleges were hung in the four corners of the hall. The red flags of Gryffindor, the green flags of Slytherin, the blue flags of Ravenclaw and the yellow flags of Hufflepuff fluttered gently in the breeze, showing the glory of their respective colleges.

Hundreds of candles were elegantly suspended in the air, emitting warm and soft light, illuminating the entire hall as bright as day.

The students, wearing their respective college robes, sat at four long tables in bright colors, and all of them had excited and expectant smiles on their faces.

Weiss's arrival instantly attracted everyone's attention.

"Who is he?"

"Stupid, it must be a new professor. Didn't you see him sitting with the professors?"

"So young and handsome!"

A group of little witches chattered and commented on Weiss, their eyes full of admiration.

Flitwick excitedly stood on tiptoe and tried to give Weiss a big hug, but he was too short, so Weiss had to bend down slightly to cooperate with his movements.

No mistakes in one sentence, one content, one content, one book, one bar!

"Long time no see, Dean."

Flitwick smiled and patted Weiss's arm affectionately: "Oh, my most proud student returns to Hogwarts as a professor, how does it feel?"

"It's great," Weiss' eyes flashed with excitement: "After graduation, I always want to come back here, Dean."

"I doubt if you can be a qualified professor, Mr. Irwin." Snape's unique and weird accent came slowly.

"Don't listen to Snape's nonsense, you will be a qualified professor." Flitwick smiled and pulled Weiss, introducing him to other professors enthusiastically.

In fact, he didn't need to introduce him, because all the professors had deep memories of Weiss, a diligent student.

The professors welcomed Weiss one after another, and they were all sincerely happy that this outstanding graduate could return.

Weiss also met Quirinus Quirrell, the teacher of the new semester's Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Professor Quirrell wore a purple turban, which exuded a strange smell, which made people stay away from him.

However, at this moment, he was tightly entangled with Snape, and kept saying something.

At this time, the door opened, and the first-year freshmen lined up in a long and orderly manner.

The sorting hat on the chair in the middle of the hall suddenly sang a song with high spirits.

However, that unique voice was really hard to appreciate.

The annual sorting ceremony kicked off.

In addition to the funny looks of the freshmen being embarrassed because of nervousness, this year everyone's attention was focused on the boy who survived.

When the Sorting Hat finally announced that Harry Potter belonged to Gryffindor after some thought, the students of Gryffindor College burst into a deafening cheer, which seemed to be so enthusiastic that it would blow the roof of the castle off.

Professor McGonagall had a brilliant smile on her face, and even the always serious Dumbledore showed a satisfied smile.

Snape's expression was a little gloomy.

But these had nothing to do with Weiss.

Under Dumbledore's command, everyone sang the Hogwarts school song with their favorite tunes. The scene was a magic sound brainwashing. Weiss just wanted to use a spell to plug his ears immediately.

After that, Dumbledore solemnly talked about some matters that needed to be paid attention to in the new semester, and solemnly introduced the two new professors to the students, and then announced that everyone could start a happy meal.

After the opening ceremony, Weiss breathed a sigh of relief.

He actually doesn't like crowded, noisy environments.

Fortunately, the course he teaches is not very popular, and there are not many students who choose to take it, which makes him feel a little fortunate.
