Train to Another World
Chapter 86: Remarks on the launch
I usually read too many comments on the release of other people's books, but I don't know what to write when it's my turn. So let me briefly talk about the origin of this book.
In fact, the cause is very simple. I basically spend my spare time playing games, watching movies, watching anime, etc. But I found that I spent a lot of time doing these things. At the end of the day, I felt empty and irritable, and the relaxation effect was not even as good as going out for a walk. This is very annoying.
One day, when I was lying in bed after finishing my daily work, I was thinking that instead of wasting time like this, I might as well spend it on something that can make money. After searching my skill tree, I found that the most likely way to make money was to write online articles.
To be honest, this is not the first time I have written. I wrote a book called "The Path of the Predator" when I was in college, but the original intention of writing that book was not to make money, but simply out of interest. Of course, the market for online articles was not so big back then, and it was still a niche track. The starting point for signing a contract was to have hands.
So even if I wrote very badly, I still easily received the contract signed by A. I remember that it was still a paper contract back then. But I felt that after signing the contract, my hobby became my job, which deviated from my original intention, so I gave up the contract, cut the book, and signed up for a tour group to go out for two weeks.
Later, I wrote a few books one after another, but most of them were out of interest. I would update if I wanted to, and I would not update if I didn’t want to. I didn’t write all of them on Qidian. I wrote on Mouke and Mouta. I wrote on Mouke because only they had the paragraph comment function at that time. I thought this function was very interesting. I could chat with sand sculpture book friends through paragraph comments every day. Even if I didn’t sign a contract, I could continue writing.
As for Mouta, it was because its terms were easy. I could earn 400 yuan to eat hot pot with weekly updates. Would you believe it if I changed to other websites? It’s just a pity that my book friends who urged me to update paid for my casualness.
Then when I came to this book, I really felt that at this stage of my life, I should use my time reasonably and open up an auxiliary track to generate income and hedge risks.
So after the Chinese New Year, I started writing books again on Qidian. I thought that as long as I wrote seriously and kept updating, I would be signed and I would be fine. But I ignored the increasing competition intensity as the scale of the online literature market increased dramatically. Because of my casual writing habits, I seem to have been writing for many years, but in fact I am still an amateur.
So the first opening "Scarlet Game", which made me think the most, failed to be published directly and did not sign the contract. I posted the first three chapters on Longkong and Tieba, and asked experts to help me summarize the reasons for the failure. Then I learned from the previous failure and wrote the second opening "Zhutian: I just want to be a human, I refuse to ascend", which was the opening that best suited my interests and failed to be published directly. So I wrote the third opening, which is this "Train to the Other World".
In order to reduce the cost of floating, I did not choose to publish directly this time, but to submit it internally. Unexpectedly, the internal submission was passed at once, so I started to write peacefully until today.
I wrote for a month without realizing it, and the word count has reached 200,000 words. The follow-up reading is still in line with the requirements, so I discussed with the editor to put it on the shelves at midnight tonight.
Because I am a part-time writer, two chapters a day is the limit, so I don’t have any manuscripts saved. It can be said that I only know the subsequent plot development one night in advance than all the readers.
It is impossible to release a new chapter on the shelves unless I can stay awake. So this time I will not shamelessly ask for first orders and monthly tickets from you. Please feel free to do as you please.
As my first book on the shelves, I sincerely hope that this book can be like the title, a slowly moving train. No matter which station the passengers get on or off, they can encounter an unforgettable scenery during the journey, which makes people smile when they think of it by chance.
