Traveling through the game world, starting out as a third-rate villain
Chapter 8 Protagonists
"Ethan, can we sit here?"
The conversation between Lucas and Ethan paused for a moment as everyone's attention shifted to them. I turned my gaze and saw three attractive girls walking towards the table with confidence and elegance.
"Ah, Julia...of course you can..."
'Julia Middleton.' I recalled the information about this girl in my mind. She is Lucas' twin sister. She is also Ethan's childhood sweetheart and friend, and a candidate for the first female protagonist in the game.
With her shoulder-length white hair forming a sharp contrast with her vibrant blue eyes, she is blessed with exquisite beauty and exudes a charm that attracts the attention of those around her.
I can see the calluses on her hands, showing that she has been strictly trained. Unlike the real appearance of the twins, she is a person who likes to train hard and is also an ambitious girl.
She has a great body and you can see her delicate muscles from her pose.
Usually, she seems a little clumsy, has a strange personality, and her academic performance is not outstanding, but at least she shows dignity and elegance.
“Thank you!” Well, I guess that’s not entirely true, because I saw her hand hit Ethan on the back.
After she sat down, the other two followed her and sat down as well.
The second girl, 'Irina Phoenix', exuded fiery passion and power, giving the crowd a strong sense of atmosphere.
Her vibrant red hair falls down her back, matching her strong personality, and her eyes are amber and seem to glow with an inner fire, hinting at the great magical potential she possesses.
Though I hadn't noticed before, I could now see faint traces of fire ash dancing in her hair, indicating that she had inadvertently used fire magic.
Irina was born into a prominent family in the Arcadia territory. This family is deeply rooted in this place where magic is valued, and their surname is synonymous with the field of magic.
She is a skilled fire mage who can control the element of fire with grace. She wields fire with destructive and mesmerizing power, making her a formidable opponent. Whenever she casts a spell, the flames twirl between her fingers, obediently obeying her every command.
Her personality is as fiery as her fire magic. She is a hot-blooded person who gets angry easily, but at the same time, she is passionate about everything she does.
Irina was gifted academically, excelled in her studies, and displayed a keen intellect and a deep understanding of magical theory, earning her the title of "Fire Genius".
Her thirst for knowledge, as intense as her ability to manipulate fire, drives her to delve deeper into the mysteries of magic and go beyond what is expected of her.
Finally, the third girl, Alice Thornfield, possesses a natural beauty that draws everyone's attention wherever she goes.
Her striking green hair cascading gracefully down her back contrasted with her captivating red eyes, at first glance she looked gentle and delicate. But beneath her soft exterior, I knew she had a sharp mind.
Alice stands out among her peers with her intelligence. She is observant and analytical, allowing her to quickly analyze situations and develop effective strategies. Her mind works like a machine, constantly evaluating and calculating the best course of action.
"That's why she's more dangerous than the others." I thought to myself, lowering my head slightly, trying to erase my presence. Due to her intelligence, it's hard to predict her behavior.
As the heir of the future strongest guild Olympus, Alice has a heavy responsibility on her shoulders. Her guild is known for its great power and influence, and the tradition of the guild has given her great ambitions since she was a child. She is a capable leader with the necessary qualities to guide others.
In addition to her intelligence, Alice was a respected figure on campus. Her charm deeply attracted people around her and earned her the title of "campus beauty". She was loved by many people not only because of her beauty, but also because of her smart mind and strong character.
She is different from others. She is a girl with an elegant temperament that is beyond words. She always attracts the attention of other students around her.
When the six of them sat down at the dining table, they attracted the whispers and curious looks of their classmates. The conversation was full of curiosity and speculation.
......
......
As the whispers and speculation continued, I stood up from my seat. I had finished my meal, and the cafeteria was slowly filling up with students.
It doesn't matter to me what they are doing at the moment. After all, I still have tasks to complete.
And so, I headed to the training ground again, this time to test the characteristics of my [Moon].
......
"By the way, Ethan, where have you been? Why can't I find you?" Julia asked with a smile as she looked at the blue-haired boy.
"Well... I'm at the training ground as usual." Ethan replied with an awkward smile. It was difficult for him to deal with Julia because she would spar with Ethan whenever possible.
"Training ground? I went to see it, but I didn't see you." Julia said while poking at her rice.
"I'm not in the dormitory facilities. I'm using the regular training grounds," Ethan answered slowly as he buried his head in his meal.
"Oh, so that's the reason... But why did you go there? I don't like training with a group of people staring at me. Whenever they are there watching, I feel like a monkey in a circus." Julia expressed her displeasure, with a frustrated and angry expression on her face.
The college has some benefits for high ranking students and allowing access to special facilities is one of them.
"Julia...you should get used to it...there will be many similar things in the future." Lilia replied as she elegantly picked up the sandwich and took a bite.
"I know, but it still doesn't make me feel good. Anyway, why did you go to the training ground?"
"I just felt like a change of atmosphere... maybe, I just felt like going there."
"Oh, don't tell me you're scared."
"...Yes...I am scared..."
"Julia, have you forgotten how he defeated you in the duel yesterday?" Lucas said with a smile, mocking his sister.
"Shut up, Lucas," Julia retorted firmly, ending the banter.
"Tsk, tsk, you're so hard on your brother," Lucas replied sarcastically, playing the victim.
"Shut up, will you?!" Julia said, with a hint of irritation in her voice.
"Okay, okay," Lucas promised, with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
"Oh, by the way, I saw something different today." Ethan looked up and interjected curiously.
"Different? What do you mean?" Julia asked, intrigued by the change of subject.
You know that guy in our class who doesn't talk much?" Ethan said.
"Who are you talking about?" Julia thought, trying to remember this person.
"The one sitting at the back of the class," Ethan clarified.
"Oh, that loser?" Julia replied, her tone dismissive.
"Loser?" Ethan repeated, questioning Julia's choice of words.
"I mean, the student at the bottom of the class. What was his name? Maurice? Myrtle?" Julia tried to remember.
"Morse," Lucas corrected.
"Ah, yes, Morse, what's the matter with him?" asked Julia.
"I just saw him training." Ethan replied, with a hint of curiosity in his tone.
"So?" Lucas interjected, his voice sounding disinterested.
"I felt like he had changed, somehow... he felt special."
There is a reason why Ethan is the protagonist of the game. He has an extraordinary physique and a keen sixth sense, so he can survive many life-and-death situations, thanks to this.
"What's the difference?" Everyone else present disagreed. After all, everyone at this table had a good background and rarely communicated with people who were lower than themselves.
"I don't know...At first, he seemed gloomy, but today it felt like he had a purpose for some reason?"
"Oh, now you are afraid of even the last-ranked student?" Lucas teased, with a sneer on his face.
"No..." Just as Ethan was about to speak, suddenly, a voice interrupted their conversation.
"People like Morse shouldn't even be in our sight. Why are you wasting time talking about such an insignificant person?" Irina interrupted their conversation with a contemptuous tone and a raised nose.
Her interruption caused everyone to pause for a moment, and everyone turned their eyes to her. Ethan had always been a peacemaker, and he tried to defuse the tense situation.
"Irina, there's no need to be so harsh. Morse may have his own circumstances, but that doesn't mean we should completely ignore him," Ethan said, his voice carrying a hint of reproach.
But before Ethan could continue to argue, Alice said in a calm tone.
"Irina does have a point, Ethan. We shouldn't waste our time on someone who clearly lacks the potential to fight alongside us. Our focus should be on our own growth."
"He..." Just as Ethan was about to continue, Julia interrupted again.
"Let's end this meaningless topic." Under Julia's overwhelming momentum, Ethan decided to end the conversation and the topic was changed.
