Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#171 - [Bubble Head Mantra]
Although the third-year Potions textbook contains intermediate-level potions, it doesn't mean that completing the third-year Potions course qualifies you as an intermediate potioneer.
This classification is merely a knowledge organization method used by Hogwarts to facilitate learning for young wizards.
Of course, if a student can truly master all the Potions content from first to third year, then they are already qualified to become an intermediate potioneer.
For Moon, the potion identification and analysis in the second-year Potions textbook, as well as the precise matching and specific steps of potion recipes,
and the application of magical plants and animal materials in potions from the third year,
are all knowledge he desperately needs now.
After all, there's an entire other world filled with various magical herbs and potion ingredients waiting for him to identify and use.
"Alright, since you say so, I'll have my family send my old Potions textbooks over."
After obtaining Cedric's consent, Moon felt relieved and went to check on the other plants in the club. After caring for the plants left by the old members of the club for so long,
Moon's knowledge of herbs has also grown. The accumulation of this knowledge has given him great confidence in opening his own herb garden or greenhouse in another world.
While Moon was re-fertilizing the Dragon Blood Grass, Professor Sprout arrived at the club.
Only after resolving the problems of the older students and promising to help Cedric deal with the Sleepingnettle,
did Sprout turn to Moon.
In fact, there's no mandatory rule regarding the order of asking questions in the Herbology Club.
Everyone is just used to letting the older students ask first, followed by the younger wizards.
This is because the questions of the older students are generally more unique and urgent, while the questions of the younger students are mostly basic.
Especially since the older students already know most of these answers.
Another point is that everyone willingly gives more time to the younger members.
Especially a young wizard with such amazing talent in Herbology as Moon.
"Mr. Scarlett, did you tell Hagrid anything about the Crab Claw Orchid?"
Before Moon could ask his question, Professor Sprout looked at him with a probing gaze.
"Professor, I only suggested that Hagrid strengthen the defenses, but I didn't say anything specific."
Moon certainly knew that the most important thing at Hogwarts right now was what the heads of the houses and Hagrid were doing.
And Moon only inadvertently learned about the existence of this matter, but he himself didn't want to participate in it too much.
However, as Hagrid's friend, Moon couldn't bear to see him blaming himself for worrying about revealing too many secrets, so Moon suggested strengthening the defenses of the obstacle.
"Don't worry, you did the right thing. I'm just curious why the big dog upstairs has been barking these past two days."
Professor Sprout didn't care about that, anyway, she thought her obstacle was already impeccable.
"Has Hagrid already started?"
Moon asked with some surprise.
He remembered telling Hagrid about this matter only yesterday in this world.
He didn't expect the gamekeeper to find a solution so quickly.
"I guess he's probably just experimenting. Fortunately, the trapdoor is locked very tightly, otherwise I'd be worried that the spores of the Sleepingnettle would float up and make the big dog completely fall asleep."
Hearing Sprout's description, Moon also felt somewhat fortunate.
"Professor, won't the Sleepingnettle there interfere with the other obstacles?"
Thinking that the spores might make the big dog faint, Moon was also curious if there would be any other chain reactions.
"Don't worry, now, besides casting a Bubblehead Charm, there's no trouble getting in and out of there, and the Sleepingnettle is growing very well."
Professor Sprout was originally worried that putting the Sleepingnettle near the Devil's Snare would have some bad effects.
To this end, she observed for many days, and also used Transfiguration to turn a piece of wood into a dummy to test the Devil's Snare, and only felt relieved after finding no problems.
"Bubblehead Charm, can this spell solve the problem of spores?"
Moon had never heard of this spell before, so he couldn't help but be curious.
"Not solve, but prevent the spores from getting into my nose. Those little guys are getting more and more numerous, and even thickening my mask is no longer working."
As Sprout spoke, she took out her wand and tapped it lightly, and a large transparent bubble immediately appeared on her head.
"This is it, very useful, it allows me to get enough oxygen ~"
After putting on the large bubble, Professor Sprout spoke as if she had put her head into a large fish tank, and Moon could hear a buzzing echo.
"Professor, can you teach me this spell?"
Moon liked this spell very much. In his opinion, it was simply an essential spell for underwater exploration.
"Oh, of course."
As Sprout spoke, she began to recast the spell, but this time she spoke the incantation instead of casting it silently.
Three minutes later, just as Professor Sprout finished explaining, Moon immediately succeeded in casting the spell in one go.
It was just that the range of his Bubblehead Charm wasn't as large as Sprout's.
After casting the spell, Moon was very happy, but Sprout's expression became serious unconsciously.
She had only heard Professor Flitwick say that Moon was very talented in spells, but this was the first time she had truly seen it.
"There really are young wizards who can learn a spell in one go, and the incantation and gestures seem to be completely replicated."
"Professor, what did you just say?"
After learning the Bubblehead Charm, Moon found that there was still something that needed to be modified.
That is, after putting on the large bubble, it also becomes difficult to hear sounds.
"Oh, it's nothing, the newly made dragon manure fertilizer is already working, would you like to try it?"
Although she knew that Professor Flitwick had always wanted to persuade Moon to study spell dueling, Sprout wasn't nervous at all.
Because after so long of contact, she knew what this amazingly talented young wizard really needed.
"This new type of fertilizer is gentler than dragon manure fertilizer. I've already tried it on daffodils, dandelions, and mugwort, and the effect is very good."
Professor Sprout's new fertilizer uses Flame Snails instead of dragon manure.
This kind of seabed creature really doesn't have the violent fire-attribute magic energy of a Fire Dragon.
However, hearing that it could be used on ordinary herbs such as daffodils, Moon also felt a surprise.
He had previously tried to use dragon manure fertilizer to cultivate food crops, but unfortunately, those seedlings were burned to death.
Now it seems that the success rate of the new fertilizer may be very high.
After getting Professor Sprout's consent, Moon took a small bag of the new fertilizer back to his seat.
All the tools and seeds here are very complete.
Wheat, oats, corn, and pumpkins were all obtained by Moon from Hagrid, and they are also the main crops he is trying to cultivate.
"Most of these seeds germinate in about five days. If the new fertilizer really works, then we might see new little green sprouts appear this week."
After fertilizing and watering all the crop seeds in the Herbology Club, it was already nine o'clock in the evening.
The Herbology Club's gathering also ends at this time.
After making sure that all the seeds were planted, Moon left and returned to the common room.
