Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts

#88 - Snape's Detention

The rumors about Professor Snape started circulating yesterday.

Although Moon wasn't involved, hearing these rumors made him feel uneasy.

Sure enough, just as Moon was about to go downstairs, three figures blocked his path.

"You loud-mouthed pauper, I heard your Leg-Locker Curse is pretty powerful!"

With that condescending tone and the habit of calling people paupers, Moon knew who was blocking him without even looking.

"That's right, my Leg-Locker Curse should be more powerful than yours."

Moon smiled at Malfoy across from him.

"More powerful than me? You sure know how to boast..."

Malfoy said, looking back at Crabbe and Goyle, and then the three of them burst into laughter.

Moon just watched them quietly until Malfoy noticed that only the three of them were laughing, coughed awkwardly, and glared at Moon again.

"Want to have a match with me?"

"Sorry, I never compete with people weaker than myself."

Malfoy was very surprised to hear Moon's words. His privileged background and noble blood made him feel superior ever since he came to Hogwarts.

But now he was being mocked by a wizard of the same year, and a poor little wizard who had been in The Daily Prophet.

Watching Malfoy's expression gradually turn to anger, Moon wasn't worried at all.

Because what he said was not wrong at all.

In terms of strength alone, Malfoy's wizard bar was only three-quarters full, while Moon's was almost full.

As for dueling, after experiencing the Night Owl and troll incidents, Moon didn't think that a first-year wizard would be his opponent.

Seeing that the three people opposite him hadn't reacted yet, Moon simply bypassed them and walked upstairs out of boredom.

However, Malfoy didn't intend to let Moon go, especially after being looked down upon by a pauper.

Just as Moon passed Malfoy, the corner of his eye caught the other party taking out his wand.

Moon didn't have time to think, so he took out his wand and fired a Petrification Curse directly.

After this period of training, Moon's Petrification Curse could fire four spells in one breath.

So even though Malfoy took out his wand first, Moon's spell was faster.

However, Malfoy wasn't without help. Just as Moon's spell was cast, Snape appeared on the second floor.

"Expelliarmus!"

A serious and majestic Disarming Charm was fired from Snape's wand, but it was already too late.

Malfoy was still frozen on the stairs.

Goyle and Crabbe were also frightened by this scene. When the two turned to run away, they accidentally knocked down the motionless Malfoy.

"Moon Scarlitt, attacking a classmate in the hallway, you will be expelled!"

Seeing that he had failed to stop Moon's spell, Snape was both anxious and annoyed.

"That's not how it is, Professor, Malfoy took out his wand first!"

Before Moon could speak, Cedric walked up from the bottom of the stairs at this moment.

When Malfoy intercepted Moon, he had just walked out of the Hufflepuff common room and saw the whole process.

"That's right, I was just defending myself."

Moon emphasized again.

"I witnessed everything you did, no more sophistry!"

Snape said, walking down the stairs.

He quickly helped Malfoy, who was lying on the ground, and cast the counter-curse to the Petrification Curse.

After解除 the petrified state, Malfoy gasped for breath in fear.

"Professor, it was him... it was him, Moon, he attacked me!"

Hearing Malfoy's explanation, Snape raised his head and glared fiercely at Moon.

"Do you have anything else to say!"

"Professor Snape, I think there must be some misunderstanding."

Sprout had also been called out of the greenhouse at this time, which Cedric had arranged for someone to do.

"Professor, the truth is right in front of you, there can't be any misunderstanding."

After discovering Sprout's arrival, Snape's tone was obviously less severe.

"There are many witnesses here, Professor Snape, and since something like this has happened, I think it's best to have Minerva make the judgment."

......

McGonagall's office was inside the corridor on the second floor. After hearing the two professors arguing, she immediately rushed over.

After clarifying the whole story, she asked everyone to come to her office.

"Mr. Malfoy, you took out your wand and pointed it at a classmate first, you don't deny that, do you?"

McGonagall said, looking at Malfoy standing aside.

The blond little wizard looked a little dazed at this time. He first looked at Snape's iron-blue face, and then nodded helplessly.

"Alright, then Mr. Scarlitt, given that you cast a spell in the hallway and hit a classmate, I will give you the punishment of detention for a month, to be carried out by Professor Snape."

Hearing McGonagall's words, a sneer appeared on Snape's face.

"And given that Draco Malfoy moved first, I have decided to deduct fifty points from Slytherin's house."

Snape's sneer was forced to stop!

Malfoy was also stunned in place at this time.

As the most direct way to judge the House Cup, the competition for house points is very fierce every year.

And so far this school year, the scores of the four houses are not very different, and none have exceeded one hundred points.

And now, because of Malfoy alone, Slytherin has lost most of the reward points for the first three months of school.

Malfoy couldn't imagine how he would face his classmates when he went back.

Looking at Moon, who was still a little unconvinced next to him, Malfoy couldn't wait to exchange punishment methods with the other party.

"Scarlitt, starting tomorrow, you will be responsible for cleaning the potions classroom, you better not let me see any dirty things."

After saying that, Snape turned and left directly, while Malfoy followed him submissively.

After Snape walked away, Professor McGonagall looked down and smiled at Moon.

"Mr. Scarlitt, when Professor Snape said to let you clean the classroom just now, he didn't prohibit the use of spells, did he?"

Hearing McGonagall say this, Moon immediately recalled Snape's original words.

"No, Professor Snape only strictly demanded that there must not be any dirty things."

"That's good."

McGonagall said, taking out her wand and casting a spell on the long table in the office.

"Scourgify."

The tiny dust on the desk disappeared, and the ink on the quill also disappeared cleanly.

"How is it, have you learned it?"

McGonagall, after casting the spell, smiled at Moon.

"It should be about the same."

Moon already understood McGonagall's intention. After he finished speaking, he also took out his wand and aimed it at the ground.

He recalled in his mind again the technique Professor McGonagall used to cast the spell.

Starting from the opposite side of holding the wand, first draw parallel to the ground, then tilt upwards, until a closed circle is completed, and finally draw out.

"Scourgify."

Looking at the floor that instantly became much cleaner, Professor McGonagall nodded in satisfaction.

"Very good, you can go back and practice more."

Moon himself was also very satisfied. After mastering this spell, cleaning the potions classroom was not a punishment for him at all, but a way to practice.

......

"Minerva, you shouldn't have this kind of illusion about Moon."

After Moon left, Sprout complained to McGonagall with a displeased face.

"Don't think so, Pomona, this child is not only very good at herbology, but also very excellent in spells and transfiguration."
