Chapter 16 Dance of Death

If the landing continues as planned, the Chaos Demon will inevitably be alarmed.

After carefully studying the topographic map, the Orion gunship finally landed on an open space several kilometers away from the Governor's Mansion.

There is a maintenance passage for maintaining pipelines near this open space. This passage allows the loyalists to directly reach the Governor's Mansion without any obstacles.

The captain of the shield guard led the imperial guards to push open the long-sealed door of the passage. The dust in the sky fell like raindrops, and a dark and deep corridor suddenly appeared in front of the original body.

The loyalists held their weapons tightly in their hands and stepped into this unknown darkness! After a short journey, everyone had arrived at the gate at the end of the passage.

When the gate opened, the scene in front of them made everyone slightly startled!

The sculptures and oil paintings made by the masters were neatly stacked on the walls on both sides of the corridor! The value of each artwork here is enough for an ordinary person to work hard all his life without sleep.

In the current administrative system of the Empire, corruption has become the norm for most officials! Obviously, the planetary governor here is also one of the termites of the Empire.

"This group of termites!" The Primarch was a little angry, but now was obviously not a good time to think about this problem.

The loyalists skipped the priceless artworks, and after quietly killing several Chaos Demons that blocked the road, the Primarch finally came to the deepest part of the Governor's Mansion.

What came into view was a large-scale ballroom.

The pollution from Chaos has long eroded this planet, but what is puzzling is that this ballroom does not seem to be affected at all.

The ballroom is still filled with a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.

The red wine and champagne produced in the [Garden World] are neatly stacked on the table, and the spotless tableware is shining under the warm yellow light! Faintly, it seems that a faint scent of perfume can be smelled.

In the melodious music, countless well-dressed nobles are dancing in the center of the ballroom! The grand round dance came to an end as the skirts fluttered.

But then, a melodious classical music sounded again!

Accompanied by the pleasant music, the nobles skillfully exchanged dance partners and once again threw themselves into this never-ending dance.

The atmosphere of the dance should have been relaxed and joyful, but there was no enjoyment on the faces of these nobles! Some... only endless fear like a tide.

In fact, the dance of these nobles has lasted for two days and two nights.

The culprit for all this is a Nurgle plague called "Dance of Death"! People infected with this Nurgle virus will continue to dance wildly in extreme excitement.

Until the body's energy is exhausted, and eventually die of exhaustion.

This is a vicious curse from Nurgle! And it was Mortarion, the son of plague, who infected these termites with the virus.

Although Mortarion has betrayed the empire, it does not mean that he has any good feelings towards these termites! As a former warrior, the son of death is most disgusted with these guys who think they are superior.

"Since you like dancing so much, then dance enough at once!" These are the original words that the Son of Death said to the Imperial termites.

Similar to Mortarion, the Primarch also hates these greedy termites! The Primarch and the Imperial Guards ignored the frightened nobles and walked straight to a secret compartment deep in the ballroom.

There is the treasure house where the planetary governor stores treasures, and the alien creation [Eye of Darkness] is stored here.

At the signal of the Primarch, the captain of the shield guard smashed the gate of the treasure house with the grenade launcher in his hand! In an instant, an indescribable stench came from the gap in the gate.

Accompanied by a sound like pus surging, a group of traitors covered with pus and lumps on their bodies poured out of the treasure house! From the legion emblem covered with pus, it can be vaguely seen that they once belonged to the glorious 14th Legion.

Since this group of stinking plague pigs have appeared here, then Mortarion, the Plague Son, the Primarch of the Death Guard, must be nearby!

As expected, a strange green mist poured out from the gap in the gate! Under the gaze of the Primarch, the green mist slowly condensed into a huge figure emitting a foul smell.

The Son of Death - Mortarion!

Under the distortion of the power of the Warp, Mortarion's handsome face inherited from the Emperor has long become extremely ugly! Pustules, lumps and various growths are all over every corner of his body.

White maggots crawled in and out of the wounds on the face of the betrayer, and the pale yellow pus slowly flowed down with the movement of the maggots...

Such a scene is disgusting!

The moment he saw the Primarch, Mortarion's disgusting face revealed a trace of extremely clumsy exaggeration.

Obviously, Mortarion had learned about Gawain's existence from Abaddon in advance.

"Look what I found? A Primarch I don't know!" Mortarion grinned, "My dear brother, are you looking for this thing?"

The Plague Son opened his palm, and a gem that looked like it was carved from obsidian was quietly lying in the palm of this betrayer.

There is no doubt that this black gem is the [Eye of Darkness] that the Empire and the betrayers have been fighting for.

Since the Eye of Darkness has fallen into Mortarion's hands, there is nothing to talk about! The Primarch drew the Emperor's Sword from his waist, and the sharp blade pointed directly at the fallen Emperor's son.

When Mortarion saw the Emperor's Sword in the Primarch's hand, the son of plague showed undisguised suspicion on his face.

"It's really surprising that our great father would give you the Emperor's Sword! It seems that the old man has chosen you as his successor."

Mortarion suddenly grinned, and white maggots fell from the corners of his mouth.

"In that case, I have no choice but to take your life! The fall of the Emperor's successor will surely bring turmoil to the corrupt empire."

Mortarion spread his death wings full of decay, and then pulled out the death sickle wrapped in viruses and fungi from the gap between the wings.

The two powerful Primarchs looked at each other, and the battle was about to break out!

"Motarion, you will pay the price for your betrayal!" The Primarch wearing the sacred armor jumped high.

The Emperor's Sword, overflowing with spiritual energy, emitted a brilliant blue light. With a dull roar, the Emperor's Sword and the Scythe of Death collided fiercely.

The collision of the two legendary weapons set off a dazzling spark, and the violent shock wave spread out from the two people's bodies.
