Chapter 53: Space Wolves

The Space Wolves were the sixth of the 20 Space Marine Legions during the Great Crusade. Their Primarch was Leman Russ. Like their name, they were as ferocious and persistent as a pack of wolves in battle, and their powerful melee ability was unmatched.

The Wolves were often ordered by the Emperor to execute traitors in other legions, so the Astartes of other legions were full of awe for them and called them the Emperor's executioners and punishment legions.

The home of the Space Wolves is the planet Fenris in the hazy star field in the north of the Milky Way. The extreme climate of Fenris, where ice and fire intertwine, gave birth to powerful warriors. The invasion of the Daemon Primarch Magnus eventually destroyed this world, just as the Space Wolves destroyed Prospero, the home planet of the Thousand Sons Legion.

In the early 42nd millennium, Roboute Guilliman brought Primaris Space Marines and transformation technology. The entire chapter rejected these Primaris Space Marines who did not grow up in Fenris, but these new warriors proved themselves and eventually integrated into the Space Wolves. Now more than half of the Astartes in the chapter are Primaris Space Marines.

The Space Wolves have thirteen Great Companies, and the Iron Wolf Great Company is one of them. Their symbol is a Fenris wolf head armed with steel. Their common tactic is to cut off the enemy's retreat and then use the Iron Torrent to attack the besieged enemy.

But at this moment, they were besieged by the Thousand Sons Legion in the pyramid complex on Prospero.

The Iron Wolf Great Company built a semi-circle defense position with various vehicles, with its back against an occupied pyramid. The pyramid had long collapsed into a hill in the battle between the two sides, and the Space Wolves from Fenris used it as a defense barrier.

Behind the vehicle were the Space Wolves holding chainswords or power axes. The dull sound of the chainswords in their hands was terrifying, and the power axes left smooth grooves when they crossed the ground. They were also equipped with a sacred bolt gun as a long-range weapon.

A large number of enemies continued to pour out of other pyramids around them, rushing madly towards the defense position of the Iron Wolf Great Company.

The fire from the Repulsor anti-gravity tanks, Leman Russ tanks and Dreadnoughts ruthlessly destroyed most of the enemies, but some still managed to escape and rushed into the interior of the armored fortress.

"Roar!"

The Astartes of the Iron Wolf howled to the sky, their voices rolling like thunder, like muffled sounds in their ears, their eyes flashing with ferocious and bloodthirsty light like wild wolves in the dark.

This moment reminded them of the hunting time on their home planet Fenris, when their tall figures wielded melee weapons and ruthlessly slaughtered the enemies.

In an instant, the enemy's flesh and blood flew everywhere, the heads of the Beastmen and broken weapons piled up like mountains, the Red Letter Warrior was chopped in half, and the dust that drifted out had no honor at all.

"Magnus, get out!"

Wolf Lord Warrick of the Iron Wolf Company killed the enemy while shouting:

"Coward! Slave!"

Warrick still remembered the scene of the Thousand Sons Legion invading Fenris. His home was broken, his brothers died, and the original Wolf Lord Ezio beside him was killed by Magnus himself.

But no one responded to his roar. Magnus, who saw all this, gave an order to the commander of the battlefield-the Chaos Wizard through psychic communication:

"Put the Hell Beasts on the battlefield!"

A row of Hell Beasts were awakened and joined the battlefield. The Chaos Space Marines imprisoned in the Hell Beasts had already been distorted in their spirits, and they rushed forward frantically.

Tayue looked at the Hell Beasts on the battlefield and couldn't help but think of what an unknown loyalist technical sergeant said:

"Angry and crazy souls are imprisoned in the curse of flesh and steel!"

The Terminators and Dreadnoughts of the Ninth Brotherhood left the temporarily occupied pyramid and will attack the Hell Beasts from the side to support the Astartes of the Space Wolves.

The number of words was a bit short, so I was about to ask for leave, but found that I couldn’t upload it, so I continued typing and missed the upload time. I accelerated the typing and posted it.
