Warhammer III

Prologue: The Fourth Tyrannic War

Solar Star Region, Holy Terra, Antarctic Inquisition Headquarters.

In the Inquisition meeting room, alien judges from all over the galaxy gathered together. They sat or stood, and launched a fierce discussion and debate on the alien issue, trying to find a delicate balance between order and interests.

Terra High Lord Alx was resting with his eyes closed at this moment. He ignored the noise in the meeting room. The heavy life-support armor recorded his physiological characteristics. The red light on it flickered with the beating of his heart, although it was slow but strong.

Soon after, a servant came to his side and leaned over and said:

"Lord Kriptman has arrived at the venue."

"Let him in."

Alx opened his eyes and immediately ordered the servant.

Soon after, a short and fat judge entered the venue. He was wearing a red power armor, his eyes had been transformed into mechanical prosthetic eyes, and the high-resolution optical glass reflected green light.

The noise in the meeting hall stopped immediately, and everyone looked at the man in front of them. He was the former Inquisitor Kriptman who came to report on the Tyranid War.

Arx waved his hand to signal Kriptman that he could report. The latter played the images recorded during the three Tyranid Wars through the servo head, and introduced them directly in a low voice.

At present, the Alien Inquisition has recorded that there are more than ten hive fleets of Tyranids invading the Milky Way. Among them, three hive fleets are the largest, causing heavy casualties to the Empire and turning many Imperial worlds into death worlds.

The first fleet is the Behemoth Hive Fleet that entered the Milky Way from the southeast of the Ultramarine. This is the first hive fleet that the Empire encountered and successfully defeated. The ensuing conflict is called the First Tyranid War.

This hive fleet was eventually defeated by the combined forces of the Astartes and the Imperial Navy in the 745th year of the 41st year.

The second fleet is the Kraken Hive Fleet. This hive fleet named after the Kraken entered the Milky Way from the eastern edge of the Ultramarine and brought about the Second Tyranid War.

The war officially began in the 992nd year of the 41st year, when the Astartes successfully defeated the Tyranids who invaded the Imperial world in the Battle of Inchar IV.

The Alien Eldar also paid a huge price to fight against this Hive Fleet and defend their Craft World, after which Hive Fleet Kraken split into many small tentacles scattered everywhere.

The third fleet is also the largest Hive Fleet, Hive Fleet Leviathan, which invaded the Imperial world directly from below the galactic plane in the 997th year of the 41st year, which caught the defenders of the galaxy completely off guard.

This invasion was less than five years after the defeat of Hive Fleet Kraken in the Second Tyranid War, and the Third Tyranid War began.

These three Hive Fleets may have split into many small Hive Fleets during the invasion of the Milky Way, of course, these small Hive Fleets may have had nothing to do with these three Hive Fleets at the beginning.

As an Inquisitor, Kriptman was the first to notice the signs of the invasion of Hive Fleet Leviathan. He implemented radical policies, destroyed dozens of worlds, and eventually led the Leviathan Hive Fleet to the planet where the Orks were.

Kriptman was condemned as a radical and traitor, and was stripped of his title of Inquisitor. The Ordo Xenos abandoned and exiled him until High Lord Alcus of Terra recalled him again.

Kriptman glanced at the Inquisitors attending the meeting, former colleagues of the Ordo Xenos, and finally warned:

"Now the 'behemoth' named Leviathan has not been defeated. It has invaded the western border of the Pacific Segmentum again. Whether humans agree or not, the Fourth Tyranid War has begun!"

There was an uproar in the meeting hall. Alcus frowned and asked the servants around him to report the matter to the Imperial Regent Guilliman immediately.
