Weird Star Witch

Chapter 79 Second Cousin

Rudolf and Yvonne left the police station and prepared to visit the Jazz Castle.

Sir's Castle is some distance from the town.

On the way, Rudolf met a couple, who unexpectedly turned out to be Mayo and Bella whom he had not seen for a long time.

"Mayo, you are fat."

In the past, there was an obvious difference in body shape between Mayo and Bella, but now at a quick glance, they look like a couple.

"Oh, I can't help it, my wife's cooking skills are really good!"

Yvonne glanced at Bella's hand. The ring on Bella's hand was bright and shining.

Yvonne looked at Mayo's hand again: "But, why don't you wear a wedding ring?"

Facing Yvonne's question, Mayo rubbed his fingers:

"How should I put it? I gained weight too quickly and my wedding ring is a bit too small now. I sent it to a silversmith to enlarge the ring."

"Getting fat too fast?"

Indeed, Mayo's suit was stretched and the buttons were a little overwhelmed. Rudolph even suspected that if Mayo spoke faster, his buttons would fly off.

"Mayo, it's time to change your clothes."

"It's time to change. Mr. Patrolman, are you guys going to the Jazz Castle too?"

"Yes, do you have business at Jazz Castle?"

Mayo shook his head: "No, I went to the Jazz Castle because Bella's brother is now a cavalryman in the Jazz Castle.

His brother said that Sir Jennifer will take them to fight in the next few days, to clean up the werewolves in the wilderness. "

Rudolph didn't say much, but he felt that Jennifer was a little anxious.

In April, the cavalry of Sir Castle had just been wiped out.

It's only September, and with only 5 months of training, how can the cavalry develop combat effectiveness?

General cavalry requires at least two years of training to master basic combat skills.

No wonder the Sheriff asked him to visit the Jazz Castle. In addition to Lady Dame's pillow request, Sir Jennifer's hasty decision also made the Sheriff feel that something was wrong.

Rudolph and others came to the Jazz Castle. Mayo and Bella went to see Bella's brother, and Rudolph, guided by the maid, went to the Jazz's study.

When the study door opened, Rudolph saw a young man at first sight. He was standing by the window, slightly raising his chin, staring at Rudolph and Yvonne who came in.

The sun shines on the man's back, thus casting his features into shadow.

“Jennifer, you must notify the police department, is this the result you want?

snort! The police station only sent two patrol officers? The Sheriff didn't even come in person?

This is contempt for the knight's castle and the nobility!

No wonder grandpa asked me to come to Leman Town. Sure enough, with your ability, running a jazz castle is too difficult. "

Rudolph glanced at Jennifer behind the desk, wondering who the person who just spoke was.

The disgust on Jennifer's face flashed away, and she glanced at the man by the window:

"Cousin Henry, I hope you will maintain the minimum etiquette of a knight. These two patrolmen are our guests after all."

“Cousin Jennifer, I have the utmost respect for you and my aunt.

However, I am confused and puzzled by your attempt to get the police department involved.

When did we knights need to consult a police chief for advice when doing things?

If it were just that, I might not be that angry.

But, see for yourself, the police chief didn’t come, but two patrolmen were sent!

This is because Jazz Castle is too weak and is looked down upon by the local police department! "

"Wait!" Rudolf interrupted:

“The reason why the police department sent me here is definitely not to ignore Sir Castle’s request.

To be honest, it was because the police department took it very seriously, so they sent me here. ” ˆ ˆ The man named Henry looked in disbelief:

"Are all the people in the Lemont Town Police Department such idiots?"

If it were not in Sir's study, even in the courtyard of Sir's castle, Rudolph would take action and teach this curly-haired Henry a lesson.

At this moment, the study door opened again.

A middle-aged beautiful woman entered the study.

"Mother!"

Jennifer quickly got up and, together with the maid, led her mother to the sofa.

Curly Henry, on the other hand, immediately changed his face:

"My dear aunt, why are you here? I will take care of this little matter for Jennifer."

Jennifer’s mother, Mrs. Lesley, looked at Henry with a smile:

"My good nephew, thank you for coming so far to help us. What would Jennifer and I do without you..."

Jennifer was unhappy to hear this, but she couldn't say anything more.

Mrs. Lesley turned her head and looked at Rudolph and Yvonne.

"Chief Claude Claude, isn't he here?"

Henry also stared at Rudolph, and he knew that his aunt thought so too.

Rudolf didn't know how to answer. Judging from Mrs. Lesley's appearance, with her slightly chubby but elastic face, plump figure, and rippling eyes, Sheriff Claude is just like this.

After thinking for a while, Rudolph said:

"Madam, I think you know why the Sheriff can't come."

When Sir Jaques was alive, the Sheriff did not look for this lady very often. Rudolph blindly guessed that there must be some emotional reasons here.

Sure enough, Mrs. Leisley lowered her head sadly and remained silent.

Rudolph felt that there must be something special about Sheriff Claude that he didn't know about because he was not beaten to death by the men in the town.

"However, Madam, please rest assured. I heard that the Knight's Castle is preparing to sweep the werewolves again. I will replace the sheriff to help Sir Jennifer."

What embarrassed Rudolph was that Mrs. Leisli did not answer a word.

It is obvious that Rudolph, an ordinary patrolman, is not optimistic.

Mrs. Leisli just said to Jennifer:

"Jennifer, if you don't break through and become a knight this time, then marry Henry as soon as possible.

Your grandfather is right. How can a knight not even be a knight?

Your second cousin Henry is a knight, who can help us through this difficult time.

There are werewolves, insect plagues, and increasingly disobedient farm druids.

It is better to wait until you marry Henry and then slowly advance. Henry is a level 1 knight, which is enough to maintain the dignity of the Knight's Castle."

Henry's face was full of smiles.

Yes, if a knight is just a knight's squire, even the people on his own farm will not respect their lord.

Rudolph glanced at Curly-haired Henry, his second cousin, who had a special status. He should be a descendant without inheritance rights from Lady Leslie's family.

For Henry, being a knight was obviously much better than being a cavalry captain in his own family.

Rudolph shook his head and didn't plan to say anything more.

The knight's castle had so many farms and fertile land. It had nothing to do with whether the knight was a knight or not. It was just because their ancestors were nobles. Jennifer didn't need to be so anxious. Anyway, the town was used to it and wouldn't say much.
