Wizard: I have an inventory

Chapter 10: Successful harvest

After several hours of arduous trekking, everyone finally arrived at the medicine garden deep in the wilderness. It was surrounded by dark forests, and the air was filled with a strange silence, as if the entire area was shrouded by some invisible force.

Ryan and his teammates stood at the entrance of the medicine garden, looking around, the ground was full of mushrooms emitting silver light - this was the goal of their trip, psychedelic mushrooms.

As soon as they entered the medicine garden, the air began to be filled with slightly shiny silver-white powder. These powders floated in the air, glittering in the sun like light snowflakes, looking beautiful but extremely dangerous.

Ryan knew that this was the hallucinogenic substance released by the psychedelic mushrooms, which could make anyone who approached fall into hallucinations and lose their perception of reality.

If it weren't for the shielding medals on them, this powder would be enough to make them lose themselves in their own hallucinations and unable to escape.

"It looks like silver poisonous mist," Carl frowned at the powder floating around, and tightened his grip on the hilt, "We have to be careful."

Ryan looked down at the shielding medal on his chest. The spell runes on the medal flickered gently, forming an invisible barrier to block the invasion of these silver powders. With the light of the medal, Ryan felt that his mind was as clear as usual, without any interference.

"The shielding medal is working, we don't have to worry about hallucinations," Demps checked his medal, and then nodded to others, "It's safe to pick now, move quickly, and avoid staying here too long."

Ryan nodded and walked carefully to the center of the medicine garden, where silver-white psychedelic mushrooms grew.

The cap of each mushroom is covered with delicate lines, as if a thin layer of silver powder is applied on it, and the powder will float away when it is gently touched. He stretched out his hand and slowly approached a psychedelic mushroom, ensuring that the movement was gentle and precise.

"Don't touch the surface of the mushroom directly. Use magic power to condense on your hands to isolate them." Alice reminded beside her. She had released a small energy barrier with her staff to separate her hands from the mushrooms.

Ryan nodded and did as he was told. He concentrated his mind and let the magic power flow between his fingers to form a thin energy barrier.

Ryan gently picked the psychedelic mushroom and felt its soft texture and slightly cool touch. The silvery white powder then slowly drifted from the umbrella cap.

The medal on his chest lit up slightly, once again resisting the drifting dust. He carefully put the picked mushrooms into the bag he carried with him, trying not to let too much powder fall.

The other teammates were also busy picking. Demps moved quickly and methodically, while Carl's movements were a bit rough, but his strength made the picking process faster. Alice's movements were delicate, and each pick was light and precise.

Although the picking process went smoothly, Ryan remained alert and glanced around from time to time. He knew that the real danger might not come from the hallucinogenic effects of the magic mushrooms, but from the monsters lurking in the wilderness. He felt that the tension in the air did not decrease, but gradually intensified as they progressed in picking.

"Hurry up, we have to hurry," Demps whispered, with a hint of urgency in his tone.

Ryan quickened his pace and put the last magic mushroom into his bag. He looked up at the sky, the silvery white powder was still floating in the air, and the tranquility of the medicine garden made him feel more and more uneasy.

"We have to leave here as soon as possible," Ryan reminded himself secretly. After completing the task, the team set out on the return journey.

After a long period of tension and intense picking, everyone looked a little relaxed on the way back to the Black Stone Lowlands, but they were still a little tired. When they stepped onto the stone road of the academy, the four of them breathed a sigh of relief.

After returning to the academy, they went straight to the mission hall. Demps, as the leader of the team, was responsible for submitting the task. The hall was still busy, with students and instructors coming and going talking about the details of various tasks.

Demps walked to the task handover window and handed the magic mushrooms that the team had picked with great effort to the administrator in charge of task records. The administrator checked the task items, confirmed the quantity and quality, nodded, and then took out a bag of heavy magic stones from behind the counter.

"The task is completed, the reward is a total of 60 magic stones." The administrator said, handing the bag full of magic stones to Demps.

Demps took the bag and walked back to the team with a satisfied smile on his face. He opened the bag, and the magic stones inside flashed charmingly under the light.

Ryan looked at these magic stones and felt a long-lost sense of relief and relaxation in his heart. The risk of the task finally got the due reward.

Demps evenly distributed the magic stones to everyone: "According to the prior agreement, we will divide these 60 magic stones equally. 15 per person."

He handed 15 magic stones to Ryan, who took the magic stones and felt relieved. The heavy magic stones in his arms temporarily relieved him of the shortage of cultivation resources.

The anxiety and pressure before the mission finally disappeared, and he knew that these magic stones were enough to support him to continue learning new spells and improving his cultivation.

Just as Ryan was about to turn around and leave, Demps suddenly patted him on the shoulder and said with a smile: "Ryan, wait a minute, I have something else to deal with."

After that, he took out something from the package - it was the fangs and fur of the bloodthirsty wolf they encountered in the wilderness. Demps obviously did not intend to waste any resources and planned to sell these materials.

He walked straight to a small shop in the market that specializes in purchasing rare materials and had a brief negotiation with the owner. After a while, he came back with a few more magic stones in his hand and a smug smile on his face.

"I just sold the materials of the bloodthirsty wolf," Demps said, distributing the proceeds he had just obtained to his teammates, "A total of 20 magic stones were sold. According to the contribution, each person will get an extra 5."

Ryan was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect Demps to bring extra gains so quickly. He looked at the 5 magic stones handed over by Demps, and his heart was full of gratitude: "Thank you, Demps, you are such a capable captain."

Demps laughed and waved his hand: "We have experienced so much together, and it is right to help each other. Besides, this mission was completed quite smoothly, and the team's cooperation was also tacit."

Ryan looked at the extra 5 magic stones in his hand, and felt a sense of warmth and fulfillment in his heart. He knew that he not only gained magic stones, but also gained the trust and support of his companions. Although this mission was difficult, it made him more confident in facing future challenges.

Now, Ryan has a total of 20 magic stones in his hands. He has enough resources to continue to improve his cultivation.

With this sense of relief and accomplishment, Ryan smiled slightly and walked out of the mission hall side by side with his teammates.
