Intending to allow Alice to remember the previous timeline, Alister planned to wake Alice up.

Arriving at the living room, Alister saw Alice being taken care of by Lynn as Lynn placed the unconscious Alice on the sofa.

"Lynn, I can take it from here," Alister assured Lynn as he walked towards Alice, placing his hand on Alice's forehead.

Afterward, Alister used his mind power to forcefully awaken Alice, causing Alice's eyes to open groggily.

When Alice opened her eyes, she saw Alister's figure which caused her to subconsciously mutter, "Bro-brother?"

Seeing Alister in front of her, Alice was confused as the last memory she had was being kidnapped by men in black masks whose faces she couldn't see. Afterward, she found herself locked up inside a cage yet her memory seemed to end there.

She didn't know what happened after she was locked up in a cage nor how she had found herself near her brother and an unknown girl.

"Yes, I'm your brother. Who else can I be?"

Alister reassured Alice of his identity as he patted her head to calm her down.

'It seems that Alice didn't know that she was sold by our father but instead, she only knew that she was kidnapped by those men in black masks.'

'Well, this would be a problem as I can't justify raising her and letting her forget about our parents. So I can only take a gamble and use my Remember Me talent in hopes of recovering the memory she had in the previous timeline.'

After making his decision, Alister used his Remember Me (Blue) talent towards Alice.

A second later, Alister noticed that Alice seemed to be in a daze as she was processing the memory she had recovered.

A hint of clarity flashed in Alice's eyes as she gazed at Alister in front of her. "Brother?"

"Yes, I'm your brother. Who else can I be?"

Alister replied monotonously as he had already expected Alice to question that again.

Hearing Alister's voice, Alice knew that the four-year-old boy in front of her was indeed her brother. After all, she still remembered that this was what her brother had looked like when her brother was four years old.

However, Alice was confused as from what she had remembered, she was killed by her brother. But the memories in her body were that she was just recently kidnapped and it was her brother who had saved her.

Although she had a loss of memory during the time she was controlled by Alister using the mind seed, Alice could still deduce that it was her brother who saved her from those kidnappers.

After all, she knew that it was her brother who had recovered her memory which could only mean that her brother still had retained some of his power, if not his full power.

"Brother, did you turn back time to our childhood? Is it to prevent me from being abducted and sold to the Cloud Sect?" Alice asked Alister as she awaited his response.

"You can indeed say I turn back time, but also not. Anyway, it's complicated so just know that this isn't a dream but a reality. And yes, it is to prevent your abduction since I have already known the truth of your disappearance."

Alister answered Alice's question truthfully.

He wasn't lying when he said that he had turned back time to their childhood just to prevent her abduction. After all, there wasn't any need for him to go back in time this long aside from that.

Even just starting on the first day of the apocalypse was more than enough to deal with Yun Ren since Yun Ren wasn't that powerful aside from his zombie virus negation wave which no longer worked against him.

If not for wanting to make it up to Alice for ruthlessly killing her, Alister wouldn't have traveled back in time this early. He could have started the full-dive simulation at the start of the apocalypse yet he didn't and it was all due to Alice.

Dealing with Yun Ren this early was only secondary since preventing Alice's abduction was his main objective.

After Alister answered Alice's question, he asked her a question out of confusion, "I have killed you before and you should have known about it since I have recovered your memory. Yet why don't you hate me for it?"

When Alice heard Alister's question, she immediately replied, "I lost hope when I was abducted by the Cloud Sect and was tortured by them during their experiments."

"I have endured all of those just to meet you and mother again since the two of you were the only ones who hadn't abandoned me, unlike father. However, our mother was also killed by the Cloud Sect along with our father."

"Because of that, I could only keep on living for the sake of meeting you again. I don't even know what got into me why I was desperate to meet you again. Was it perhaps out of giving myself a reason to keep on living?"

"It seems that was also the reason why the Cloud Sect didn't kill you and only killed our parents instead. It was to prevent me from committing suicide by giving me hope that I could still meet my family as long as I survived the experiment."

"However, the Cloud Sect hasn't given me any pictures of you so when I had met you before, I wasn't certain that you were my brother as it was possible to have someone who possibly looked similar to you. Not to mention, I couldn't see your face up close at that time so I wasn't certain that it was you."

"It was only when we fought with each other that I felt that it was wrong for us to fight each other. As if fighting you wasn't what I should have done. It was only at that time that I realized that you were my brother but it was already too late since you were adamant in killing me."

In response to Alice's words, Alister shrugged, "At least that wasn't the worst outcome. I mean, what if I was lecherous enough and accepted your offer of being my servant? What if I had sex with you? Wouldn't that be a bigger problem?"
