Chapter 196 Disguise Magus

Chapter 196 Disguise Magus

"Ready?" said Hardy. "Concentrated? Well—go!"

He lifted the lid for the third time, and a Boggart transformed into a dementor emerged from it. The office was cold and dark.

"Guardian!" Harry bellowed, "Guardian! Guardian!"

The scream in Harry's head came again, but this time it seemed to be coming from a radio that was out of tune.

High, low, high, low.

This time his consciousness was not blurred, he could still see the dementor, and the dementor had stopped.

Then a huge silver shadow erupted from the tip of Harry's wand, hanging between him and the Dementor.

Although Harry's legs were weak, he was still standing, but he wasn't sure how long he would be able to stand.

"Nice job, Potter, hilarious!" Hardy marveled, and rushed forward.

With a snap, Harry's indistinct Patronus disappeared along with the dementor.

He slumped in his chair, exhausted as if he had just run a mile, his legs shaking.

Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of Professor Ollivander driving the Boggart into the box like a silver ball with his wand.

Harry guessed that "funny funny" was the spell against the Boggart.

"Excellent!" said Hardy, walking up to Harry. "Excellent, Potter! It's finally getting better!"

"Can we try again? Just once?"

"Not now," said Hardy firmly. "That's enough for one night. Give—"

He handed Harry a large bar of Honeydukes' finest chocolate.

"Eat it, or Madam Pomfrey will come to me to settle the score. Next week or this time, if you like?"

"Okay," said Harry, who took a bite of the chocolate, thanked Professor Ollivander again, and headed out to the Gryffindor common room.

"I can handle those big ugly guys," said Harry, finally relieved as he chewed his chocolate.

A few days later, Madam Pomfrey's rote potion was prepared, and everyone hoped that it would have an effect on Irma Pince.

"She can remember, right?" Standing outside the infirmary, listening to the painful humming sound coming from inside, Tonks was very nervous, "Is she all right?"

Hardy leaned against the stone wall in the corridor, "It's not easy to take the potion of rote, and few wizards can bear it, but Neville Longbottom did it."

"Ah, Longbottom, I still hear that name a lot in the Ministry of Magic," said Tonks, pulling back his hair, which was now thick and pink.

Only then did Hardy learn from Braden that Tonks is a Transfiguration Magus who can change his appearance at will.

This innate magical talent made Hardy very interested.

With a creak, the oak door was opened, and Madam Pomfrey came out with an empty medicine bottle, "You have to let her rest for two hours."

"Of course," Hardy and Tonks said in unison.

At noon, Tonks brought the cheese pie to Pince who came back to his senses. She looked rather weak.

"I really don't know how Neville Longbottom survived." Pince drank his water. "This kid is stronger than I thought."

After lunch, Pince's face gradually turned red, and Tonks looked at her expectantly.

"That night," Pince frowned, "I was in the Silendon Library preparing my Muggle research paper."

"And then?" Tonks' eyes sparkled.

"Someone broke into the library, shouting fire!" Her lips began to tremble. "The Muggles are panicking."

"They wanted to escape, but the entrances and exits were blocked. I just took out my wand to put out the fire, but someone stopped me."

Tonks leaned in front of her, "What does that person look like?"

Hardy also stared at each other.

A wry smile spread across her face, "I, I can't remember."

"Oh no--"

Tonks lowered his head somewhat discouraged.

On the morning before Halloween, Harry woke up with the rest of his classmates and went downstairs to breakfast feeling very depressed, but he tried to act as usual.

"We'll bring you lots of sweets from Honeydukes," said Hermione, who seemed terribly sorry for Harry.

"Yeah, bring a whole lot back," said Ron.

"Don't worry about me," Harry said in a deliberately nonchalant tone, "see you at the banquet tonight, have fun."

He accompanied them to the foyer, where Filch the Administrator stood just inside the gate, checking off a long list, watching every face vigilantly, not letting anyone who shouldn't have slipped through the gate.

"Filch is back?" Ron was a little surprised, "I don't know what he did during the summer vacation."

Hermione pursed her lips and held back the words in her throat. She had heard about Filch and those illegal wizards from Braden a long time ago.

"The school and the Ministry of Magic have reached an agreement to delete Filch's memory." Professor McGonagall said to Hardy in the corner of the hall as the little wizards in the third grade went to Hogward Village one after another.

Hardy nodded thoughtfully.

"In the underground classroom..." Professor McGonagall said, "Many young wizards are very curious recently."

Hardy smiled, "It can be officially put into use after Halloween."

After Ron and Hermione left the castle, Harry walked up the marble stairs alone, through deserted corridors, and back to Gryffindor Tower.

"Password?" The fat lady woke up from her doze and asked.

"Auspicious stars are shining," said Harry listlessly.

The portrait popped open, and Harry crawled through the hole into the common room.It was full of chattering first and second year students, as well as a few seniors, who had obviously been to Hogsmeade many times and didn't find it new.

"Harry! Harry! Hey, Harry!"

It was Colin Creevey, a second-year student who adored Harry and never missed an opportunity to speak to him.

"Didn't you go to Hogsmeade, Harry? Why? Hey—" Colin looked back eagerly at his friends. "Come and sit with us if you want, Harry!"

"Er - no, thank you, Colin," said Harry, not in the mood for a whole bunch of people asking what was the matter with the "dementors" popping out of him, "I - I'm going to the library There is some homework to do."

After speaking, he had no choice but to turn around and climb out of the portrait hole again.

"Why did you wake me up again?" the fat lady shouted angrily at his back.

Harry walked despondently towards the library, and halfway there he changed his mind.

He didn't want to do homework, he wanted to practice the Patronus Charm.

He turned around, only to bump into Filch, who had apparently just sent off the last of his classmates for Hogsmeade.

"What are you doing?" Filch asked gruffly, suspiciously.

"Nothing," Harry said matter-of-factly.

"Nothing!" snapped Filch, his double chin twitching ungainly. "It's pretty plausible! Sneaking around alone, why didn't you go to Hogsmeade and buy a What about stink bombs, burp powders, and fly bugs?"

Harry shrugged.

"Okay, go back to your common room, you'll just have to stay there!" said Filch savagely, standing there staring at Harry until he was out of sight.

But instead of returning to the common room, Harry walked across the empty hall towards the dungeon.

There were plenty of empty rooms where he could practice the Patronus Charm, and then he saw Luna again in the dark hallway.

She was coming out of a dimly lit door.
