Alchemy professor at Hogwarts
Chapter 197 Adventure Wonderland
Chapter 197 Adventure Wonderland
"What's behind that glowing door?" was the question Harry wanted to ask most at the moment.
But as soon as the words reached his throat, he swallowed them again. Luna would not tell him. He thought so, the other party was Professor Ollivander's right-hand man.
She was far better than Hagrid at keeping secrets.
"Hello, Harry." The glowing door disappeared behind Luna, and she greeted first, looking behind her, "What a work!"
"What?" Harry was a little distracted. "Uh, I don't know."
Luna smiled. She walked up and winked at Harry, "Wonderland, it will officially open after Halloween."
"What is that?" Harry's eyes sparkled, "Can you tell me? Everyone on the magic forum is very curious, but no one can tell."
"Ah, I believe Professor Ollivander will announce it at the Halloween dinner. He knows more than I do."
……
"Here," said Ron, "we'll take as much as we can."
A shower of colorful candies fell on Harry's lap.
It was dark, and Ron and Hermione had just walked into the common room, their faces flushed by the cold wind, and they looked like they were having a lot of fun.
"Thanks," said Harry, picking up a pack of Pepper Boys. "How's Hogsmeade? Where have you been?"
Listening to their tone, it seems that they have gone everywhere.Deweys & Bance's, Magic Equipment, Zonko's Joke Shop, Hot Butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks, and many other places.
"Post Office, Harry! There are almost two hundred owls, all sitting on the shelves, all color-coded, depending on how fast you want your letters to go!"
“Honeydukes has a new fudge and let us try a few for free, here it is, look!”
"It looks like we saw a troll, really, the Three Broomsticks has everything in it."
"How I wish I could bring you some butterbeer, it really warms you up."
"What did you do?" Hermione asked, looking worried, "Did you do any homework?"
"No," said Harry, "I met Luna in the dungeon, and she told me about Wonderland, which is what George and Fred have been trying to figure out."
"Hey, Wonderland!" Ron jumped up with a snotty lollipop in his mouth. "What's that? That name sounds much more interesting than the Forbidden Forest, doesn't it?"
Hermione also poked her head over curiously.
"Maybe it's the new Dueling Club grounds, I guess," said Harry. "The other professors don't seem to have said much about the Dueling Club since the Basilisk was dealt with."
"Maybe they think we should learn the theory first, instead of making gestures with a wand." Hermione glanced at the excited Ron.
"Did Luna tell you? What exactly is Adventureland?" Ron asked.
Harry replied, "Luna said Professor Ollivander would explain at the dinner."
"Great!" Ron applauded, clapping his hands.
Hermione looked at her watch.
"We have to go down, you know, the banquet will start in 5 minutes..."
They eagerly climbed out of the portrait hole and joined the crowd, still talking about their adventures and wonders.
"But, you know, the dungeon doesn't have much room," said Hermione, walking between Ron and Harry. "What kind of adventures can you have in a classroom?"
"Maybe Wonderland just decorated the classroom more like a jungle, or a desert? So that we have a duel environment?"
"Yeah, maybe," said Harry, as they reached the foyer and headed for the Great Hall.
The auditorium is decorated with hundreds of pumpkins with candles and a swarm of live bats flying around.
Many flaming orange banners, like colorful water snakes, floated lazily on the storm-brewing ceiling.
The food was so delicious that even Ron and Hermione, who were already stuffed with Honeydukes, added a portion of each.
Harry kept looking at the staff table.
Professor Ollivander looked very happy, and he was having a lively chat with Professor Flitwick, the teacher of the little charm class.
The second half of the banquet is a show performed by Hogwarts ghosts.
They jumped out of the walls and tables one after another, forming various formations to perform skating.
Gryffindor's Nearly Headless Nick re-enacted his beheading experience with great success.
"Why hasn't Professor Ollivander moved yet?" Ron pushed Harry, "The Halloween dinner is almost over."
Harry had a disappointed expression on his face, maybe he was cheated by Luna.
He looked in Luna's direction, Ginny was whispering to her, and the two of them giggled while laughing, completely oblivious to his gaze.
"Everyone!"
He tapped the goblet with a silver spoon, and the whole auditorium quickly fell silent. Dumbledore stood up and said with a smile, "Before the end of this dinner, your alchemy professor has good news to reveal."
All in one, countless eyes were all focused on Professor Ollivander at the staff table.
Hardy wiped the tomato juice from the corner of his mouth, smiled and stood up.
Harry gasped as Ron clutched his arm excitedly.
"Recently, I believe everyone must have noticed some unusual things in the castle," Hardy said slowly, and then said in front of some little wizards, "It's not Blake and Catwoman Keira, it's quite interesting things."
At the Gryffindor table, Fred Weasley immediately raised his hand. Although he was sitting, he was already tiptoeing eagerly.
"Hey, I've never seen Fred raise his hand so positively, it's even more exaggerated than Hermione." Ron grinned.
Hermione snorted softly and stared back at him.
"Weasley!"
"Professor Ollivander, are you referring to the mysterious room in the underground classroom?" Fred stood up and shouted loudly.
After seeing Hardy nod his head, the entire auditorium immediately became commotion, and smiles appeared on the faces of the other professors, except for Severus Snape.
With a tense face, he murmured in a low voice: "It's not fine at all, it's quite rough."
Hardy pulled out his wand and waved it towards the ceiling of the auditorium where the storm was brewing.
Terrifying thunder and lightning rumbled down, and the dazzling arc condensed into the combined vocabulary of "adventure and wonderland" in the sky above the auditorium.
The little wizards of the four colleges immediately shut their mouths, all of them were stunned by the deafening thunder, they were staring at the vocabulary in midair, their eyes sparkling.
"What an effect, George?" Pomfrey elbowed George beside him.
"Maybe we can make an eraser that, when someone squashes it, makes a thunderous noise enough to scare people under the table!" said George.
"Good idea!" The twins looked at each other and smirked.
Hardy cleared his throat, looked at the auditorium that had become silent again, and nodded in satisfaction.
"Very well, it seems that you are willing to continue listening to me," he said. "Anyone remember last year's Dueling Club?"
Ron noticed that Neville, who was not far away, was exaggerating his head like a typewriter.
By now everyone knew that Neville had learned the Disarming Charm at the Dueling Club last year, which made his ever-strict grandma finally willing to buy him an exquisite gown.
"After full consideration by myself and other professors, we agreed that it is necessary to add courses on magic practice. For this purpose, we are still willing to believe that the form of dueling clubs can play a considerable role."
He continued: "However, as you know, I, your alchemy professor, can't help but come up with some interesting things, although this caused quite a lot of trouble for a certain professor during my student days. "
Hardy looked at Snape with a smile.
The other party turned his neck a little stiffly, and his lips began to tremble.
"so--"
"Adventure Wonderland, this new course, can be understood as an upgraded version of the Dueling Club."
After a round of intense applause, at the Hufflepuff dining table, a male prefect raised his hand to ask a question.
"Professor! What are we going to do in Wonderland? Just practice other magic in a jungle or desert setting?"
"Oh--"
Ginny wrinkled her nose behind a plate of grilled chicken, "I can't believe it's the only way, no one wants to stand up in the jungle or desert to teach!"
"Yes, yes," Luna said in a humming tone, taking Ginny's hand.
