Shen Gongbao Great Sage Persuading Death Immortal

Chapter 350: A solemn oath made over many lifetimes to save the sinners.

Chapter 350: A solemn oath made over many lifetimes to save the sinners.

Biyou Village.

Flames shot up into the sky, and the sounds of fighting, shouting, and combat were endless.

An ordinary bald monk stood halfway up the mountain, holding a nine-ring staff and a dark and profound gem in his palm. He was wearing an unusual black cassock embroidered with brick-shaped patterns in gold thread. He did not look evil or gorgeous, but instead exuded a solemn and dignified feeling.

"Has Jiejiao been destroyed again?"

The monk sighed softly, the expression on his face was neither happy nor sad, just a little complicated and helpless.

"Master, you don't seem to be on the list."

A middle-aged man in a brown uniform of the Nadutong Company jumped out from the bushes at some point, holding a tablet in his hand. Behind him were two young men wearing the same uniform and carrying hot weapons on their waists.

"Good, good." The bald monk slowly turned around, with a compassionate look on his face. He always looked at the world with a compassionate look. Facing the question, he clasped his hands together slightly and said calmly: "I am indeed not from this place."

Perhaps because of the monk's peaceful attitude and lack of offensive gesture, the staff of Nadutong gradually let go of their hostility and asked tentatively, "Master, are you from the Vinaya school?"

Buddhist monks usually wear clothes of various colors for the sake of appearance, to destroy their good shape and to distinguish between monks and laymen.

Only on special occasions, such as some important events or sacrifices in the temple, will the abbot wear the bright red robes.

However, black robes are extremely rare and are only worn by the Vinaya school, which focuses on studying and passing on the precepts.

"I am a Buddhist." The monk smiled and said, "It is fate that has brought us here."

"Since it is fate, please come back with us, Master." The middle-aged man in the company laughed and extended his hand to invite him, "Registering is also a good relationship."

"You and I have no destiny." The monk shook his head and sighed, "I hope that you, the donors, will meet me later next time."

"Master, you are putting us in a difficult position." The middle-aged man coughed and prepared to step forward.

The monk held a nine-ring staff and walked away. The three people from the company hurriedly chased after him, but they could not catch up. The monk seemed to be walking slowly, but it was as if he could shrink the distance into an inch, taking two steps at a time, and the distance between him and them was getting bigger and bigger.

Looking at the figure disappearing from his sight, the middle-aged man cursed inwardly: "What a ghost, who is this strange person? Does Buddhism have such a way of escaping?"

"Earth-walking immortals don't walk like this?" A young man caught up with him from behind and complained in frustration.

The last company employee came up. He was the youngest of the three and couldn't help but complain: "It feels like watching Ji Gong when I was a kid. He looks like a supernatural being."

"Jigong? Jigong!"

The other two were slightly stunned, and then the young man laughed and scolded: "Aliens should also pay attention to science, okay? How can you take things from TV dramas seriously? Why don't you say that the monk just now was a Bodhisattva who came down to earth?"

"Jigong? I'll ask the leader to go to Lingyin Temple and ask him later." The middle-aged man thought more and whispered, "Maybe he is really a strange person from Lingyin Temple. Buddhism is so vast, there must be some strange magic spells."

The remaining two were stunned and murmured, "Six Divine Powers, does this thing really exist?"

The six supernatural powers are the six paramitas of a bodhisattva: giving, keeping precepts, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom.

The six karmic supernatural powers are obtained by practicing precepts, concentration, and wisdom.

Generally, one first cultivates the clairvoyance, clairaudience, knowledge of others’ minds, knowledge of past lives, and the power of divine movement, and eventually the five powers are combined into one, one comprehends the wisdom, and attains the power of the cessation of outflows.

This means: to completely cut off all afflictions, delusions and karma, to be forever free from the cycle of birth and death, and to rely on meditation to manifest full power and virtue.

Before attaining Nirvana, all practitioners recite the following sentence: "My life is over, my Brahmacharya is established, my work is done, and there is no more to come."

It is to prove that his four meditations and four fruits are complete, his karma has been cleared, and he is about to ascend to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and attain the fruit of a Bodhisattva.

However, Shen Gongbao did the exact opposite. He first attained the status of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and then worked out the six supernatural powers.

Walking in the world, looking at the familiar yet unfamiliar world of technology.

Shen Gongbao sighed slightly: "So that's how it is. In the world of aliens, no wonder the cause and effect are so complicated. Calamity, calamity."

……

On the streets, people come and go, cars and traffic are busy. The world seems prosperous, but everyone is in a hurry.

Everyone comes for fame, everyone goes for profit.

It is like a furnace that tempers all kinds of people and gives birth to infinite creations.

In the world of mortals, whoever can grasp the true meaning of the furnace of self-cultivation is a superior person.

Buddhism is vast and does not restrict one’s qualifications. Even those with the lowest aptitude can practice the Pure Land Sect’s method of chanting Buddha’s name in order to seek liberation for countless kalpas.

However, those with the best aptitude can always make rapid progress and achieve liberation earlier.

In Shen Gongbao's eyes, there are no people with the best aptitude in this world, but there are several people with superior aptitude.

However, he did not take the initiative to convert anyone, but just waited quietly.

At the end of reincarnation, everything will come to an end, and the underworld is the final resting place of all souls.

There is no need to move forward, all living things will slowly come to him.

Following the law of cause and effect, Shen Gongbao found a flower bed, not caring about the dust on the ground, and sat down cross-legged. He placed the nine-ring tin staff across his legs and concentrated on observing the magic bead in his palm.

This is half of an innate spiritual treasure with infinite uses, but it is not allowed to be seen by outsiders. If you take a peek, you will instantly fall into the evil path.

Only someone like him who has acquired the characteristics of Daluo can comprehend the spiritual treasure and suppress the evil nature.

Time passed little by little, Zhang Chulan, Xiao Zizai... a group of people gradually moved closer, and the expressions on their faces changed from happy and carefree to solemn.

Because Chen Duo's life is coming to an end, and the black marks on her arms indicate that she can no longer suppress the poisonous insect.

He was used by the Medicine Fairy Society to make Gu since he was a baby, and became the only survivor among all 49 children who were used to make Gu.

As a holy child with a Gu body, Chen Duo has not received proper human education since birth. His values are different from those of ordinary people. At first, he had no common sense and no independent consciousness. He believed that any unauthorized behavior would lead to punishment, and his nature was completely suppressed.

Although he received help from Liao Zhong, the head of the South China region of Nadutong Company, and was able to live a human life, he always regarded himself as a poisonous insect rather than a human.

Now unable to adapt to human life, she made her own choice and prepared to die.

Although facing death, Chen Duo, with her green eyes and long black hair, did not show a trace of sadness. Instead, she was filled with calmness and ease. She seemed very happy, shopping with others, savoring the last moments of her life.

The poison gradually spread from her arms to her legs and even to her entire body. Chen Duo suddenly paused. She knew that she didn't have much time left, so she stopped and bought a box of ice cream to give to her friends before they left.

Some people remained silent.

Some people accepted it calmly and laughed it off.

Some people are carefree and accept the last gift from their friends.

Someone burst into tears and swallowed the very sweet and fragrant ice cream while crying.

……

After delivering most of the ice cream, Chen Duo felt her hair falling out bit by bit, like a patient with uremia. Her face was extremely pale, and she was staggering in her little white dress and high heels.

Looking at the remaining ice cream in the box, Chen Duo wanted to give it to someone passing by.

However, the pedestrians on both sides of the street stepped back in horror when they saw Chen Duo being corroded by the poisonous insects and almost unrecognizable.

Chen Duo was silent for a moment, and suddenly looked at the monk sitting cross-legged in the corner. He moved forward and handed over the ice cream that was about to melt with his trembling arms.

"Here." Chen Duo smiled slightly. She had no fear of death at all, but instead felt a sense of inner tranquility.

"Very good, very good." Shen Gongbao smiled and accepted it calmly: "Thank you for the donation."

"What is almsgiving?" At the end of his life, Chen Duo suddenly felt a sense of curiosity.
"There are three kinds of giving." Shen Gongbao said slowly, "The first is the Dharma, which means preaching the Tathagata's true Dharma to others with a pure heart, so that those who hear it can enjoy the Dharma and cultivate good roots; the second is wealth, such as Sakyamuni giving his body to feed the tiger, and the donor just giving alms to the poor monk; the third is fearlessness, which means if sentient beings are afraid of various disasters, you can comfort them and help them get rid of the fear in their hearts."

“Giving is not only the business of sentient beings, but also the business of monks. It is the first of the six perfections and the most important principle of practicing the bodhisattva path.”

"My friends seem to be in great pain. Can you give them alms fearlessly?" Chen Duo showed a bright smile and pointed at his companions who were crying silently behind him. His body trembled and he seemed to fall down.

She could no longer hold on; the poison had already climbed up her face and was about to penetrate into her brain.
