“You people always engage in futile resistance and struggles. Even when you know that your actions will bring about the destruction of your own kind.”

The energy beam struck Thanos's arm, only to be blocked by a layer of energy shielding that appeared on his arm. He slowly rose from the chair, drawing a wide, guillotine-like blade from beside it, and said softly.

“Defeat you, and none of this will happen.” Hal leaped high into the air, wielding a massive hammer of green and gold energy, bringing it down on Thanos from above.

The hammer struck Thanos's head, twisting his face slightly, before Thanos swept his war blade across, the door-sized blade slamming into Hal and sending him flying like a baseball.

Hal crashed backward into the ship's metal wall, the thick metal screaming as it twisted. He was embedded in it.

“Weak punches and attacks. You haven't grown much since last time.” Thanos said, bowing slightly as he proactively launched an attack on Superman and the others.

Superman stepped forward to block Thanos's charge, but Thanos simply slashed at him with his blade. Superman crossed his arms in an X-shape, blocking Thanos's blade, but was then kicked in the chest and sent flying.

After Superman, John and Aquaman followed. Aside from Clark, their physical abilities were the strongest in the team. While Superman was blocking Thanos, they each used their abilities to confront him.

Intense mental energy attacked Thanos's mind like a drill, a violent psychic storm exploding in an instant. However, Thanos nonchalantly reached out and seized Aquaman Arthur's trident, and as he grabbed the weapon, a sweeping strike from his war blade threatened Arthur's neck.

John, who had launched the psychic attack on Thanos, groaned. He felt as if a bomb had exploded in his brain, shattering and shaking his consciousness. He felt as if his mind had crashed into an indestructible iron wall.

The only saving grace was that John's mind, physique, and healing abilities were strong enough. The backlash, which would have turned someone else into a vegetable, only had a minor effect on him.

Wiping the blood from his face, John looked at Thanos again, and began to understand the despairing power that Hal and the others had spoken of. He had originally thought that the mind would be Thanos's weakness, but the earlier test proved that Thanos's mind was resilient and powerful beyond belief!

Diana threw a rope, seizing the opportunity while Thanos was entangled with Superman and the others, aiming accurately and binding him tightly, wrapping him up from head to toe.

Seeing Thanos restrained by the lasso thrown by Diana, joy appeared on the faces of Clark and the others. As members of the team, they knew too well the power of Diana's Lasso of Truth.

However, before the joy on their faces could fully bloom, Thanos forcefully broke free from the lasso's restraints with a shocking display of power, even shattering the rope into several pieces in the struggle.

At that moment, the Infinity Gauntlet on Thanos's hand glowed faintly, and vast energy surged into his body.

“Is that all? That's not enough to defeat me.” A cruel smile appeared on Thanos's lips, and in front of Clark and the others, he launched the order to attack Earth to his fleet and recruited thugs.

“This is the price of your resistance. As a final act of mercy, I will let you witness its end.” Thanos raised his hand, using his palm to block the fist that Superman angrily swung at him. He tightly grasped Clark's fist, ignoring the earth-shattering power attached to it, leaned down to meet his eyes filled with anger, and said coldly.

A feeling of anger mixed with intense fear and worry arose in everyone's hearts. Even though they had made some preparations, the fleets outside would inevitably bring huge casualties to Earth. Just thinking about this possibility made everyone feel a sense of oppression.

They thought that their greatly increased strength could fight against Thanos, but Thanos's performance at this moment told them that their self-righteousness was just that. Thanos was far more powerful than they had predicted!

They were getting stronger, and Thanos was getting stronger too.

John turned to try to stop Thanos's fleet, but crashed into an invisible barrier. After attacking with all his might to no avail, all his power disappearing like a stone sinking into the sea, he turned and looked at Thanos, who was fighting with Superman, instinctively believing that this barrier was constructed by Thanos.

And after Thanos knocked Superman Clark back again, he admitted this.

“The battle isn't over yet, so don't leave the battlefield so easily.” Thanos teleported to John's side and kicked him back onto the field. “Of course you can go and stop them, and of course you can indulge in your savior game, but only if you defeat me!”

“It's your turn.” Wayne looked at Luthor beside him. If possible, he didn't want Luthor to take action, because the consequences of his actions would bring a series of uncontrollable troubles, but facing Thanos, who was easily suppressing them all, and the rapidly deteriorating situation, he couldn't care about the future anymore.

As Thanos said, if they wanted to stop everything that was about to happen, they needed to defeat him as soon as possible! As for the fleets outside, he would leave them to the Green Lantern Corps outside.

When there was no choice, he had to give his partners some trust, didn't he?

The fear that was so powerful that it was despairing could become the last straw that broke everyone's hearts at any time.

“As you wish.” Luthor nodded without surprise, and issued an order to Doomsday, who was shrouded in a black cloak beside him, to attack.

Doomsday appeared behind Thanos like a teleport, and punched him hard in the back of the heart.

He was also one of the very few on the field who could fight Thanos in close combat.

In terms of performance alone, Doomsday was even more powerful than Superman and the others at the moment.

At least, he entangled Thanos. He was able to engage in a bloody back-and-forth battle with Thanos. Every moment, every second, numerous hideous and fatal wounds would appear on Doomsday's body, but he never cared, attacking Thanos like a mad dog with injuries in exchange for injuries. His own powerful self-healing ability guaranteed his continued combat ability. Every wound that had just appeared would soon heal and recover. Even if a limb was cut off, new limbs would soon grow out, and the strength of his body would greatly increase, and the damage of Thanos's attacks would be greatly reduced.

The entire planetary system has become the battlefield for Thanos and the others, and the surging and overflowing energy is like a cosmic storm. The fleet brought by Thanos was hit by the energy storm in a short period of time, falling apart and destroying more than half of it.

Doomsday and Superman joined forces to hug Thanos's body and crashed into the core of the planetary system - the sun at high speed. Of course, they didn't want to die together, they just wanted to throw Thanos into the core of the star and rely on the star's energy to solve the problem.

The figures of the three disappeared on the surface of the sun.

Standing outside the range where the sun could harm them, a hint of expectation flashed in the eyes of John and the others. This was what they had discussed before they came. If they couldn't defeat Thanos, they would use the high temperature of the sun to kill or seriously injure him.

“Did it succeed?” After waiting for a while, Hal was a little nervous. Even with a Green Lantern ring, he didn't dare to enter the sun.

“Failed, get out of the way!” John, who had been closing his eyes and acting as a radar to lock onto the auras of the three of them, suddenly opened his eyes and led everyone to retreat rapidly.

Two figures carrying fire spewed out from the surface of the sun, flying backwards for a long distance before Doomsday and Clark stabilized their bodies. That huge volume expanded and began to devour all the surrounding matter. Clark and the others could only dodge in embarrassment, and then watched in despair as the sun, transformed into a red giant, devoured planet after planet until it approached Earth.

“What happened!” This scene shocked Hal and the others into horror.

“He has been collecting our emotions!” Clark said the answer that shocked Hal and the others. “Now, he has successfully collected them.”
