The situation became very strange.

For some known reasons, it is inconvenient for the Bodhisattvas (great sages) of major Buddhist temples to comment and react to the incident of the monks from White Horse Zen Monastery.

After all, Monk Liaofan did not attack the Buddhist temple, let alone the Dharma.

He just asked a very simple and straightforward question, then made a big wish and fulfilled it.

Even the monks who follow Monk Fan now are not because of Monk Fan's deception. Instead, the monks took the initiative to follow Monk Fan and try to practice Bodhisattva Vehicle Buddhism.

The only person whom Monk Liaofan took the initiative to invite was Princess Guanglin.

As this incident spreads wider and wider, and the number of discussions increases, the impact on three places becomes greater and greater.

The first is Baima Zen Monastery.

Originally, Monk Fan was only asked to represent Zhike Yuan to attend Princess Guanglin's son-in-law recruitment meeting. Who would have thought that Monk Liaofan had indeed "kidnapped" Princess Guanglin, but he had made such a big news.

Based on some unknown things, the first monk Yuanzhi of Zhike Academy had already suspected that Monk Fan was the reincarnation of Master Wusheng, and now he holds this idea even more firmly.

However, when faced with the inquiries from the abbot of Baima Chanyuan and the leader of the Discipline Hall, Monk Yuanzhi did not reveal his suspicions.

"Uncle, senior brother, I really don't know."

From the beginning to the end, Monk Yuanzhi had only one sentence to answer the questions from the abbot and the head of the Discipline Hall.

Monk Yuanzhi has a special status. He is the son of the previous generation abbot.

There is currently no certainty about Monk Liaofan, so the abbot and the head of the Discipline Hall have no way to deal with Monk Yuanzhi.

You can only continue to be perfunctory when you know that you are being perfunctory.

The second place is the entire Song Dynasty.

One monk, Liao Fan, is currently leading people to walk in the Song Dynasty, taking practical actions to sharpen the Buddha's heart and practice Buddhism.

Secondly, Prince Guanglin had a special status. He was the first heir to the throne of the Song Dynasty, but he did not become the crown prince as usual.

Princess Guanglin, the only daughter of Prince Guanglin, followed Monk Fan.

Through such time of observation, people discovered that Princess Guanglin was not a straw bag or a vase. In the process of sharpening her Buddhist heart and practicing Buddhism, Princess Guanglin showed strong abilities and high skills.

This is very interesting.

It seems that Princess Guanglin is more suitable to rule and govern the secular world of Song Dynasty than Princess Guanglin!

Three stories: The current emperor of the Song Dynasty was said to have been worried for more than ten days without thinking about tea or food.

Although Buddhism is prosperous and high, people are superior to others.

However, there must always be someone to handle secular chores, and the court and yamen must still be established.

With the imperial court and yamen already in place, power came into being.

If you can't become a Buddhist master, then become a secular master!

Therefore, the patriarchs and clansmen of the big families of the Song Dynasty understood the situation of the current emperor of the Song Dynasty, but they did not feel the same way and could only laugh secretly.

You're just shooting yourself in the foot.

Let you suppress Prince Guanglin so harshly!

If it hadn't gone so far, what kind of son-in-law recruitment meeting would the Prince of Guanglin hold?

Without holding a son-in-law recruitment meeting, even if a monk would still come to make such a great wish, it would only happen on other occasions and would only cause commotion within the Buddhist sect and would not affect the secular world.

The third place is Ci'en Temple located in Bianjing, the capital of the Song Dynasty.

Monk Nengqing left the Guanglin County Prince's Palace that day and returned to Ci'en Temple. He reported the matter to his master, the abbot of Ci'en Temple, and asked the abbot of Ci'en Temple to order Buddhist temples in the Song Dynasty to join forces to conquer the devil.

However, the answer Monk Nengqing got was a large basin of cold water.

The abbot of Ci'en Temple not only refused to issue the edict, but also locked up monk Nengqing and ordered all monks in the temple not to go out.

Although it is not explicitly stated that Ci'en Temple is closed, pilgrims can still worship Buddha as usual, but who can understand the change in the atmosphere of Ci'en Temple?

All of these were caused by Link, who had transformed into a monk, and were not within the scope of Link's concern.

He now has a new worry.

As he practiced more and more, the monks who followed him had more and more doubts about Buddhism.

But how much Buddhism does Link know?

He was not proficient in Buddhism. He only had a superficial understanding of Buddhism in his previous life and collected some information on Buddhist civilization during his dormant years.

The reason why he thought of stoking the ideological disputes among the remaining Buddhist civilization from within by making great vows, reviving the Three Vehicles of Buddhism, and regaining the attention of the Bodhisattva Vehicle of Buddhism is because Link really saw that doing so probability of success.

Knowing that this can be done successfully does not mean that Link is proficient in Buddhism.

Therefore, during this period of time, Link faced one question after another raised by the monks, but he avoided talking about it.

But it is not good to avoid talking too many times, as it can easily arouse suspicion.

If it was really for his own Buddhist practice, Link could completely ignore the monks and just focus on his own practice.

After all, that's not the purpose.

Link still has to find a way to answer the monks' doubts, so that the monks will have more faith in him and the Bodhisattva's Dharma, and become more dissatisfied with the current situation of Buddhism and the world.

In this way, ideological disputes can smoothly breed and grow until the remnants of Buddhist civilization are torn apart from within.

"What, you have a headache?"

Lotus Nuo's mean voice sounded in Link's ears.

Link ignored it.

I know I'm having a headache, cheap brother, but instead of trying to help, I just stand on the sidelines and watch the show. I'm really ignorant.

Jasmine didn't hear Lotus Nuo's voice transmission, but based on her understanding of Link and seeing Link's brows frowning slightly, she guessed what was going on.

She immediately launched a scolding from the cheap sister-in-law, and sent a message to warn Lotus Snow not to cause trouble.

Is Lotsnow the type to give up when faced with difficulties?

no!

As a result, Lotsino not only failed to restrain himself, but became even more aggressive.

Word after word of gloating reached Link's ears, like the whispers of a devil.

etc……

Link suddenly thought of something and was inspired.

The devil's whisper...

Well……

It seems that this can be done, and it should be able to coax him for a while.

So, at noon that day, Link led the monks to complete the alms, and after eating, he put on a posture of giving lectures and solving doubts.

After Monk Liechen descended, many monks who followed saw this and immediately sat down around Link.

"I have heard two Buddhist verses and would like to share them with you."

Link didn't talk nonsense. He didn't have any prelude. He just started talking about the real stuff. "I don't have a definite opinion on these two verses. I don't distinguish who is better and who is worse, who is right and who is wrong, who is higher and who is lower."

After hearing this, many monks paid more attention to it, and their mentality became more correct, waiting for what Link would say next.

Without further delay, Link continued, "The first stanza is called the Wuxiang Stanza. Everyone, please listen. The body is like a Bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror. I must brush it diligently at all times to prevent it from attracting dust."

After reciting this Buddhist verse, Link closed his mouth and signaled the monks to think deeply about the Buddhist principles contained in this Buddhist verse.

Many monks, including Monk Liaochen, fell into deep thought.

What is this Buddhist verse about?

It talks about the methods and tips for cultivating and attaining supreme Bodhi.

The body is the body of the six roots held by consciousness.

The heart is the heart that hides consciousness.

The bodhi tree and the clear mirror are used as metaphors to show that the nature of the body and mind is bright and pure.

The Sutra says: "Taking the mind is the precepts, the precepts produce concentration, and the concentration produces wisdom. This is called the Three No-Omissions Learning."

This verse earnestly encourages the world to practice diligently, return from delusion to enlightenment, transform defilements and become purified. In this way, by following the Dharma, delusions and obstacles will be gradually purified, and Bodhi will be realized more and more. Be careful not to be lazy and lethargic.

All in all, what is important is to practice Buddhism and achieve Bodhi, which requires "gradual practice."

Four sentences with twenty-four characters, concise and concise, vivid images and rich in Buddhist principles.

Many monks were mesmerized by what they heard, and felt that this single verse of the Buddha made their trip worthwhile.

"You kid, can you think of all this?"

Lotusnow, who had been hiding in the dark, jumped out again and chattered.

Link ignored them and just watched the monks sitting around him quietly, immersed in the state of comprehending the Buddhist principles of "Shadowless Gauge".

"Shut up!"

Jasmine discovered Lotus Nuo's little move in time and scolded him.

The longer they get along, the more Jasmine adapts to Lotesnow's changeable personality, and the way they get along becomes more relaxed.

It is true, as Lotsino often says, cheap brother, cheap sister-in-law, cheap brother, not only the relationship is cheaper (biàn yí), but the way to get along with them is also cheaper (biàn yí).

Link would love to see this happen.

No matter how you put it, no matter how crazy Lotsnow's character is, no matter how evil his actions, he is the reincarnation of a saint after all.

This time, the mission of sneaking behind enemy lines and cooperating inside and outside was completed, and the will of the wizarding world would never suppress Lotsnow again.

At that time, it would be up to Lotesno to decide when and how to enter the Saint Realm again.

Jasmine now has a good relationship with Lotus Nuo, so she will have another person to rely on in the future.

Putting down the distracting thoughts that emerged in his mind, Link looked around at the monks and no longer gave them time to comprehend the "Shadowless Gauge".

Link slowly spoke: "The second Buddha's verse I heard is called Bodhi. Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. It is nothing, so how can it cause dust."

As soon as the voice of reciting the "Bodhi Stanza" fell, there was an uproar immediately.

This Buddhist verse is based on the "No Forms" verse, but it completely overturns the Buddhist principles of the "No Forms verse"!

Doesn't the "No Form Stanza" use the bodhi tree as a metaphor for the body and the mirror stand as a metaphor for the heart, indicating that the nature of the body and mind is bright, pure and pure?

Since the nature is already clear and pure, where can it get dusty?

If there is no dust, why do you need to wipe it frequently?

Here comes the question. "The Wuxiang Gatha" is very Buddhist, and the "Bodhi Gatha" is also very Buddhist.

Both Buddhist verses have Buddhist principles, but they are diametrically opposed. Which one should I believe?

Many monks couldn't help but feel confused.

Should we believe in the gradual practice of the "No Forms" verse, or should we believe in the sudden enlightenment of the "Bodhi verse"?

Supreme Bodhi can be achieved through gradual practice, and supreme Bodhi can also be achieved through sudden enlightenment.

They are practicing the Bodhisattva Vehicle Dharma in order to achieve the supreme Bodhi. In order to achieve the supreme enlightenment, they have to choose between gradual practice and sudden enlightenment, right?

When Link saw this, an invisible smile appeared on his lips, and then he ignored the many monks who were deep in thought, stood up and left.

After a few steps, Link's figure disappeared.

By the time many monks came to their senses, there was no trace of Link and Jasmine.

Therefore, the monks focused their attention on Monk Chen.

"Don't look at me, how do I know?"

When Monk Liaochen saw this, he shouted loudly and ran away, "If you want to ask yourselves, go ask Fan. The poor monk has gone back to Baima Zen Monastery."

In the blink of an eye, Monk Liaochen disappeared.

The monks did not disperse immediately, but discussed with each other for a long time.

Some people think that "gradual cultivation" is reasonable, has a context to follow, and is a bright and smooth path, while "sudden enlightenment" is also reasonable, but it places too much emphasis on understanding and chance, and is not suitable for the general public.

If you practice self-awareness and only achieve enlightenment, you can achieve "sudden enlightenment";

If you practice to achieve complete awakening and achieve supreme enlightenment, you can only practice "gradually".

Some people think that "sudden enlightenment" is reasonable and a broad road. If one has sufficient understanding and the opportunity comes, he will achieve perfect enlightenment, and then he will awaken to perfection and achieve the supreme perfect enlightenment.

In short, as the discussion continued, the monks gradually divided into two groups, unable to convince each other, and finally left each other.

"No Phase" and "Bodhi" followed the monks who left, and were spread back to major Buddhist temples at a time when Buddhism had not yet unified how to view and treat ordinary monks.

For a time, the Buddhist sect couldn't care less about how to treat Monk Fan.

New hotspots are emerging and becoming popular rapidly.

Gradual cultivation, sudden enlightenment, supreme Bodhi, supreme enlightenment.

Two completely opposite yet unified Buddhist principles, two paths running in opposite directions but with the same purpose, are placed in front of all Buddhist temples and all monks.

There is a tendency for a large-scale and extremely profound great speculation to take place.

This is not to say that there are only two paths of "gradual cultivation" and "sudden enlightenment" to achieve supreme enlightenment, which is why Buddhist temples and monks pay so much attention to it.

Rather, Link's great wish and two Buddhist verses caused a gust of wind within Buddhism.

The wind named "Thinking and Debating".

In many Buddhist temples, many monks don't want to admit it, but they must admit that for a long time, they have been blindly worshiping Buddha and cultivating their strength, but have neglected to cultivate their mind.

Link's appearance and Link's actions brought "mind cultivation" into their field of vision, making supreme enlightenment the highest pursuit again.

It’s not like no one is aware of Link’s problem hidden under the “Great Wish” and two Buddhist verses:

What is the true meaning of Buddhism?

What is the purpose of practicing Buddhism?

It's not like no one noticed Link's sinister intentions.

However, the one who created the figurines will have no descendants?

In the past, they could rely on their strength in numbers and use "evil heretics" to rebuke the few sober people.

Now that they are among the few sober people, how can they hope that their sobriety can wake up the monks who are faintly caught up in the fanatical tide of becoming a Buddha?

Under the call of "Everyone can become a Buddha", continue to denounce Monk Liaofan, who brought the concept of "Everyone can become a Buddha" back to Buddhism, as an "evil heretic"?

They were afraid that they would be immediately labeled as evil heretics.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk..."

After discovering this change in Buddhism, Lotus Nuo couldn't help but admire, "Brother Cheap, you are very smooth-talking, and what you say is really similar..."

"The devil whispers." (End of chapter)
