The night was dark and heavy, a torrential rain poured down like a raging beast, dense raindrops weaving into a boundless curtain, mercilessly obscuring vision and blurring the surrounding scenery.

"咚咚咚!"

Urgent knocking shattered the silence of the night. Mier Mamen leaped up from the sofa, strode to the door, and yanked it open. Her son, Aldrich Mamen, stood outside like a drowned rat, soaked and disheveled.

"Aldrich, what happened to you? Quick, come in!" Mier Mamen hurriedly pulled Aldrich inside, frantically grabbing a dry towel from the side and gently wiping the rain from his hair and cheeks.

"What happened?" Mier Mamen asked with concern, looking at Aldrich's dazed expression.

"Ella… Ella is dead." Aldrich's voice trembled and was weak, as if each word carried a heavy burden of sorrow. "This morning, just after I left, she… she was murdered."

Upon hearing this news, Mier Mamen was shocked. Her gaze involuntarily drifted toward the direction of the study, a complex emotion flashing across her face, a mixture of surprise and a hint of barely perceptible joy.

"Where's Father? Isn't he home?" Aldrich seemed not to notice the change in his mother's expression, his vacant eyes filled with fear and confusion about the unknown.

"I'm here." At that moment, Third Bishop Ezekiel Mamen slowly descended from the stairs on the second floor, his face as gloomy as if it could drip water.

"Father, Ella is dead, just this morning!" Aldrich looked up at his father, his voice tinged with helplessness and pleading.

"I heard!" Ezekiel Mamen frowned, his tone cold and hard. "So what? You come back just to tell us this? Do you suspect I killed her?"

"Aldrich, you must understand," Mier Mamen said firmly, "your father, Ezekiel Mamen, would never kill Ella Smith. How could you have such an absurd and unfounded suspicion?"

Ezekiel Mamen glanced at his wife, Mier Mamen. He knew that Mier also mistakenly believed that he had killed Ella Smith that morning.

"Can I see your wand, Father!" Aldrich's eyes were fixed on Ezekiel Mamen's wand.

"Aldrich," Ezekiel Mamen's voice was cold and deep, "do you really think it's necessary to inspect my wand?"

Aldrich did not answer, his eyes burning as he stared at the wand in Ezekiel's hand.

"You actually suspect me?" Ezekiel Mamen flew into a rage, a loud slap landing heavily on Aldrich's face.

"Answer my question, do you suspect me?" he questioned angrily again.

"Yes!" Aldrich looked directly into Ezekiel Mamen's eyes, saying each word distinctly, "I suspect you killed Ella!"

Ezekiel Mamen laughed in anger. He suddenly stood up, looking down at Aldrich.

"Suspect? What right do you have to suspect me?"

"Ella Smith wasn't killed by me. She was already dead when I got there!" Ezekiel Mamen kicked Aldrich. "Even if I did kill her, so what! Don't forget, Aldrich, your life, your surname, everything you have, I gave you. Without me, you'd be an illegitimate child who can't see the light of day!"

"It's very simple, Father, just show me your wand," Aldrich said, kneeling on both knees, his eyes bloodshot.

Outside the manor, in the dense bushes not far away, Jerry and Catherine each held an umbrella, discreetly monitoring everything inside. Holding binoculars, they clearly saw the scene unfolding inside through the window.

"What a pity," Jerry shook his head and sighed, "we can only see the images of such a wonderful drama, but we can't hear any sound."

"I didn't expect Andre's potion to be so potent! If Voldemort's mom had Andre's methods back then, there wouldn't have been so much trouble later!"

"This Aldrich is really stupid! But your Third Bishop Ezekiel is even stupider," Jerry laughed mockingly, exchanging a playful glance with Catherine beside him. "Having an illegitimate child is one thing, but giving him the surname, wanting to make him legitimate… no wonder Sophia Mamen agreed to our cooperation so readily!"

"The Mamen family has always been known for their bravery and directness, but they often make wrong choices due to impulsiveness and recklessness. Even their magic carries a kind of uncontrollable violent fire!" Catherine added.

"My wand has some problems right now. Someone has secretly tampered with it, so I can't give it to you for the time being!" Inside the house, Third Bishop Ezekiel replied impatiently in a cold voice.

"Heh heh!" Aldrich's lips curled into a mocking smile. He stood up and said, "With your position, who could have the ability to tamper with your wand?"

Aldrich, his mind clouded by anger, struggled to his feet, his wand pointed directly at his father, Ezekiel Mamen.

"Wait, put down your wands, both of you!" Mier Mamen rushed over to stop them, but was pushed away by Ezekiel Mamen, who was consumed by anger.

"You dare point your wand at me!" Ezekiel Mamen roared, "You're courting death!"

The Disarming Charms of the two men stalemated in the air. Obviously, Ezekiel Mamen had not lost his mind and had not used all his strength. Otherwise, even with the Disarming Charm, Aldrich would be seriously injured if he didn't die.

A buzzing sound echoed in their ears, followed by Ella Smith's grayish-white soul floating out of Ezekiel Mamen's wand.

"This, this is… a flashback curse?" Aldrich stared blankly at Ella Smith's soul. He remembered that his wand core was the same as his father's, Ezekiel Mamen.

"It really was you, why? Why did you kill Ella?" Aldrich stared at Ezekiel Mamen, his eyes full of anger and incomprehension.

"I told you, she was already dead when I went to the apartment, you idiot!" Ezekiel Mamen roared. If it had been someone else, he would never have wasted his breath. The anger at that moment was enough to send the other person to Ella Smith's world.

Ezekiel Mamen vowed in his heart to find the bastard who framed him!

The magic power of the two continued to rise, and the air was filled with tension and danger. In an unnoticed corner, a bright red lightning flashed across the center of Aldrich's wand.

"Boom!" In the huge explosion, Aldrich's wand snapped in response, and the broken wand tip penetrated Mier Mamen's heart at an alarming speed, instantly taking her life.

"Not good, a mistake!" In the rain outside, Jerry exclaimed in a low voice, then tightly grasped Catherine's hand, "Quick, we have to leave quickly!"

Jerry's original intention was to have Aldrich's wand break and then die at the hands of Ezekiel Mamen, allowing Ezekiel Mamen to personally kill his son. He didn't expect things to go wrong!
