Hogwarts Melting Ice Journey

Chapter 71 Magic Chalk

"Okay." Penny took the box, "Thank you, Stephen, I didn't really help much."

Stephen shook his head, "The magic potion is the most critical step. If the quality is not good, the effect of the magic chalk will be greatly reduced."

Stephen took out the chalk he had just used, thinking, "I need an open testing ground."

The scene in the Room of Requirement began to change, and it took several minutes to reveal where Stephen wanted it to be.

"It turns out it can really be like this." Stephen felt that the space magic here seemed to be much stronger than he imagined.

"Stephen, what do you want to do?" Penny looked around, there was nothing in the room.

"Do some tests. You know, this is my first time making this kind of chalk." Stephen began to draw something on the floor. "I think you can also try to draw something interesting."

Penny looked at Stephen squatting on the ground, and she laughed, "I think you're right, I've never tried this before."

Stephen is drawing a pistol, and he wants to see if he can use magic chalk to create Muggle technology. Penny, on the other hand, seems to be drawing a big guy. Compared with ordinary chalk, magic chalk can be used longer.

"Okay, let me try." The gun that Stephen drew was very crude. Perhaps the gun he drew should be called a combination of two wooden blocks.

He picked up the gun he drew from the ground, pointed the muzzle into the distance, and pulled the trigger. A gunshot resounded throughout the room, and then a mass of chalk gray appeared in the distance.

"Stephen, what are you holding in your hand?" Penny was attracted by the sound Stephen made. She looked up at Stephen, her eyes full of curiosity.

"Haven't you seen a pistol?" Stephen felt a little strange. Even a pure-blood wizard should know some Muggle weapons.

"I've never seen it before. My parents would never let me disable these dangerous Muggle technologies." Petunia shook her head without hesitation.

"That's really strange. You have to know that pistols have a history of hundreds of years." Stephen's eyes flashed with surprise, but he just thought a few words in his mind and did not express his doubts.

"If it is chalk drawing, it should also be affected by its own nature." Stephen took out the wand, "Clear water is like a spring."

The gun in his hand was soaked by the water sprayed by the wand, and then turned into a ball of powder and scattered on the ground.

"No, that doesn't seem to be the case." Stephen realized that the water spell was also a product of magic. "Does ordinary water have such an effect?"

He dug into his bag and took out a small bottle. This was water he collected from the Black Lake when he had nothing to do. Stephen uncorked the bottle, took out the chalk wand from before, and poured the water down.

The water on the chalk wand flowed directly along the wand to the ground, but the wand was safe and sound.

"Ordinary water cannot affect the magical chalk paint." Stephen washed his hands by the way, then took out his notebook and began to record what he observed.

Not far from him, Penny seemed to have finished the drawing. She took out her wand and pointed at the drawing, and then the chalk drawing started to move, and after a few seconds it turned into a three-dimensional object.

Stephen closed the note, then turned to look at Petunia. A chalk drawing of Buckbeak appeared in his pupils.

But the chalk version of Buckbeak doesn't move at all and seems to be a completely dead thing.

"Well, it seems that this kind of chalk cannot create creatures that can move on their own." Stephen opened the note and continued his recording.

"Stephen, what's going on? I thought it could move." Penny looked at the motionless chalk drawing of Buckbeak and asked Stephen curiously.

"I guess we can't use magic chalk to create creatures." Stephen expressed his conjecture.

"Really, that's such a shame." Penny looked at the chalk drawing of Buckbeak and shook her head, "Then how do I make it disappear?"

"Clear water like a spring." Stephen waved his wand at Buckbeak, and a drop of water hit it, then turned into a pile of wet chalk dust, and disappeared after a while.

Stephen looked back at the location of his pistol just now, and the chalk dust there also disappeared.

"It's interesting. It can turn something into nothing." Stephen looked at the chalk he used. It was indeed short. "Or should be said, it decomposed automatically."

The two of them experimented like this all afternoon, and they didn't come out of the Room of Requirement until dinner time was almost here.

"This is really an interesting alchemical product." Petunia finished using a piece of chalk, and some of her "fantastic ideas" surprised Stephen. She seemed to have really not had much contact with Muggle things. So much so that I thought I had invented something new.

"And thank you, Stephen." Penny looked at Stephen, and he could see the sincerity in her eyes, "I have never been so seriously happy."

"If you want to say thank you like this, I think we may have to thank each other all the way." Stephen continued walking up the stairs, "In Hogwarts, you will have many opportunities to be happy." Ravenclaw's long table Saw it everywhere

As soon as he entered the restaurant, Stephen saw Rowan sitting in his usual place. After saying goodbye to Petunia, he walked over to sit next to Rowan, then took out a piece of chalk and placed it in front of Rowan.

"This is a piece of chalk." Rowan picked up the chalk and looked at it, "Stephen, why did you give me this?"

"This is not ordinary chalk." Stephen smiled, and he took out his notebook and put it in front of Rowan, "This is magic chalk. I think I have to eat something first, I am really hungry."

"Okay." Rowan picked up the notebook and flipped to the latest part and looked at it.

"Well, I probably understand." Rowan returned the notebook to Stephen, "In other words, this can make the drawn things concrete and have some abilities."

"That's right." Stephen put down his knife and fork, he had already finished eating, "But I haven't figured out its limit yet. Maybe it can give the drawn things full capabilities."

"Let's study this later." Rowan picked up the knife and fork. He was attracted by Stephen's research notes not long after eating. Now he had to solve his unfinished dinner.

After a while, Rowan finished his dinner. The two returned to the Ravenclaw common room and sat down in their usual seats.

Stephen took out ten pieces of chalk and put them in a small box, then put them in front of Rowan.

"Then I won't be polite." Rowan accepted without hesitation. He didn't need to be too polite in front of Stephen.

"Of course not." Stephen made a total of thirty pieces of magic chalk. "I think we'd better take one with us. It's not as easy to break as ordinary chalk, so it can be safely placed anywhere on your body."

He picked up a piece of chalk and stuffed it into his pocket. "It won't stain your clothes unless you use it with your hands. Maybe you can do something with it someday."

"Be prepared." Rowan nodded, took one out of the box and stuffed it into the pocket of his robe.
