Chapter 34 The Burrow

That afternoon, Fred and George came to Regulus' office as scheduled, preparing to rush to the Burrow via the Floo network.

Compared to Portkeys, Regulus was more receptive to the Floo Network. At most, he would have more ashes on his body, which was just a matter of "cleaning it up."

Flying broomsticks are not out of the question. As the main chaser of the Slytherin Quidditch team back then, Regulus still enjoyed and missed the feeling of flying freely and having strong winds blowing against his face.

But when Fred Weasley enthusiastically proposed this method of traveling, Regulus sternly refused.

The reason is simple. Flying from the Scottish Highlands to the south of England and maintaining a riding posture all the way is not very good for the health of the waist and legs.

"The Burrow?"

"The Burrow."

The Burrow.

Regulus, Fred and George rushed out of the kitchen fireplace one after another.

The room was so cramped that when Regulus fell out of the fireplace, he accidentally bumped into a stack of plates, knocking them over.

The crisp smashing sound of plates obviously disturbed the people in the room, because a loud sound came from the living room...

"BloodyHell!"

Then, a red-haired boy with freckles rushed into the kitchen, half a sandwich in his hand, and the corners of his mouth were stained with butter and bread crumbs.

"I'm sorry, I'll fix them right now... and restore them to their original state!" Regulus waved his wand and restored the broken plates.

"Sir, this is our brother Ron." Fred introduced, "This is Professor Reinhardt."

Ron was clearly confused as to why the schoolteacher and his brothers were at his house in the middle of the week.

"Are you the only one at home? Where are mom and Ginny?" George glanced at the nine-hand clock hanging on the wall, with the hands of "Molly Weasley" and "Ginny Weasley" on it. They all point to "going out".

"Oh, mother took Ginny to visit the Lovegood family. They only have a little girl at home. I'm too lazy to go. I might as well stay at home and play chess with myself." Ron brought a few people to the living room, and George Then I went to get some fruit.

It's said to be a living room, but it's actually a crowded room with a few sofas and a small coffee table.

There is a wizard chessboard on the coffee table. The chess pieces are all old, but the battle is fierce.

"Okay Ronnie, where's your board? Take it out quickly." Fred urged excitedly.

"What Banban?"

"Is this your mouse? Isn't it called Banban?" George handed a pear to Regulus.

Regulus took the pear but did not eat it. His right hand was already holding the wand tightly in his pocket. He knew that if the rat was really Peter Pedillo, he might realize something was wrong and run away or fight back.

At this time, we need to take action first, control the "mouse", and then investigate the truth.

"Oh, it's called Scabbers." Ron said vaguely after taking a bite of the sandwich, "It has been sold."

"What?" the twins shouted in unison, frightening Ron.

Regulus was more anxious than the twins, but he controlled his emotions well and did not question him.

"You hold it while sleeping! Are you willing to sell it?" Fred looked unbelievable.

"When was it sold?" George wanted to be calmer.

"On the first day of school, after we put you on the train, we went shopping in Diagon Alley. A foreigner said he liked mice very much and took a fancy to the one I had." Ron recalled as he recounted, "He I even bought an owl and wanted to exchange it. I didn't want to exchange it at first, but Errol could hardly fly anymore and the man was very sincere, so my mother agreed in the end."

"Where's the owl?" Fred asked.

"You didn't tell us?" George complained.

"I went out to deliver the letter. Dad said he wanted to wait until Christmas to tell you and give you a surprise." Ron muttered, "Scabbers eats and sleeps every day, but I still miss him."

"What did the man say besides saying he liked mice?" Regulus suddenly asked.

"He didn't say anything. His accent was very strange. I often couldn't understand what he was saying, but he taught me a spell to deal with spiders, which was quite effective." Ron answered truthfully.

"A spell to deal with spiders? I want to see how much skill little Ronnie has gained." When Fred heard this, he immediately got excited and waved his wand to turn the empty plate into a big spider.

Ron held up an old and peeling wand, frowned and chanted a spell: "Spiders retreat!"

The weak magic spell was issued, and the spider actually flinched.

Fred and George burst into laughter, but Regulus stopped them with a hand, changing the plate back to its original shape.

"This spell works, but I never knew I could deal with spiders like this..." Regulus frowned.

"Sir, you don't even know what this spell is?" Fred asked doubtfully.

"Ronnie, who did you meet?" George also felt that there was something wrong.

"Can you remember what that person looks like?" Regulus suddenly asked Ron.

"He...he...what does he look like?" Ron tried to remember. But he found that he couldn't remember what that person looked like.

"He was under a confusion spell." Regulus quickly came to the conclusion.

There was no point in staying here any longer. Regulus quickly finished chewing the pear in his hand, indicating that he would rush back to Hogwarts.

"Professor, why don't you stay for dinner? We grow our own vegetables to ensure they are fresh." Fred saw Regulus walking quickly towards the fireplace in the kitchen and hurriedly followed.

On the watch hand, the status of Ginny and Mrs. Weasley changed to "On the way."

Regulus had left the Burrow through the Floo Network.

"What are you doing?" Ron was confused. "He is a professor at the school?"

"It is said that he was born in Slytherin, but what he said was not bad, and it is not ambiguous to deduct points for Montague and the others." Fred commented.

"He is much stronger than Snape. Maybe that rat is really some unknown evil creature, and you still sleep with it in your arms every day." George responded.

"Otherwise, no one in their right mind would trade an owl for it and add a Confusion Charm to you," Fred said.

"But I think it's unnecessary," George said.

"Little Ronnie's brain is messed up enough." The two said in unison.

Ron was so angry that he threw the empty plate at Fred, but George turned it into a paper airplane.

"Let's go, let mom know that we are coming out of school, it will be a good meal."

Before Ron could react, the two of them left the fireplace.

Several people returned to Regulus' office, and the twins were surprised and worried to find that the professor's face was livid and his mood was unstable.

"You two, hurry up and go to the history of magic class. You can't tell anyone what happened today, do you understand?"
