Mysterious Walker at Hogwarts
Chapter 134 Quirrell’s Dilemma
Due to Dumbledore's permission, Dean skipped the whole day of class today. After washing himself, he slept happily in the Room of Requirement.
Dean had to admit that the large bed conjured up in the Room of Requirement was much more comfortable than the one in the dormitory.
In the dream, Dean spent a happy time with the ptarmigan chick transformed from Frank's soul - Dean felt as if he had become Frank's nanny, taking care of it as it grew up.
Dean thought this was good. He had another chance to slowly develop a relationship with Frank.
Although Dean is temporarily unable to borrow magic from the Thunderbird Wand due to Frank being severely injured, this is both a challenge and an opportunity - Dean feels it is time to get rid of dependence and truly improve his strength.
Dean slept until almost dinner time, then left the Room of Requirement and returned to his dormitory.
What surprised Dean was that everyone was here at this time.
"Hey, man, it's great that you're okay!" Seamus was the first to rush up and give him a warm hug, "You must be exhausted today."
"We heard that you offended Snape and were imprisoned for a whole day?" Ron looked at Dean with a look of astonishing admiration. "That's not easy."
"Well, it's actually not that exaggerated." Dean silently lit a candle for Snape. He didn't know how many scapegoats he had shouldered.
"What's the reason? I think you should go to Professor Dumbledore to complain - you can't miss a whole day of classes because of the confinement." Harry said angrily.
"Harry, don't be so excited. I thought only Hermione would worry about missing classes due to confinement." Dean reassured half-jokingly.
In fact, what he wants to know most now is that he hasn't returned home all night. Didn't any of his roommates notice?
"Then Snape went too far - you just got up a little early, and he caught you on the way to the restaurant early, so he used the excuse that you violated school rules and put you in solitary confinement for a day." Even Neville was indignant. road.
After a few more insinuations, Dean finally figured out how Snape helped him cover up his lies:
Snape said that Dean was wandering around the castle early in the morning and seriously violated school rules, so he was put in solitary confinement - and asked Dean to organize materials in the potions office.
Snape also explained that he missed class time because he was so focused on punishing Dean.
As a result, the roommates had a wonderful misunderstanding: they didn't realize that Dean stayed up all night, but just went out early and came back late.
Since Dean often stayed up late in the forbidden book area, everyone was already used to it being strange that he hadn't come back when they went to bed. When he got up in the morning, Dean had already gone out to "wander", so no one suspected him. He didn't come back at all in the evening.
Dean couldn't help but secretly feel lucky that young wizards at this age were all sleepy, and none of them had insomnia in the middle of the night, and then discovered that he was not in bed.
Perhaps the only imperfection in this explanation is that Dean's reputation as a "road freak" has become even louder. Seamus said that the entire school knew that he was unfortunately killed because he couldn't find his way to the restaurant. Nap caught it.
"Stop talking about these unhappy things, how was your class today?" The roommates began to tease Dean about "road crazy", and he quickly changed the topic.
"It's no different from usual, it's just..." Ron hesitated at this point, glanced at Harry and then said, "...Professor Quirrell's condition seems to be worse."
Needless to say?Last night, Voldemort controlled Quirrell and caused a lot of trouble for Dean, but Dean was sure that Quirrell would also have a hard time.
"I think Professor Quirrell is ill, and very ill. I doubt a gust of wind can blow him away." Neville agreed with Ron.
"The funniest thing is that he forgot to bring his wand to class today, which made the Defense Against the Dark Arts class a mess!" Seamus was obviously gloating.
"Seamus, I think you should be careful about judging professors behind their backs," Harry reminded.
After bumping into Quirrell and being threatened by Snape the night before, there was no doubt that Harry had now imagined Quirrell as a victim of Snape's power and had great sympathy for Quirrell.
But talking about Quirrell's wand, Dean suddenly remembered something: when he said goodbye to Dumbledore in the morning, Dumbledore said softly behind him, "I'm glad you made the right choice at that time. After Quirrell, it would be better if we could go further."
Dean didn't understand what Dumbledore was implying at the time, but now he realized that Dumbledore was implying that he should return the wand to Quirrell.
Dean felt that Dumbledore must have his reasons, so it was best to follow his wishes, then he would have to meet Quirrell again as the Mysterious Walker.
"Sorry everyone, I suddenly remembered something and need to go out." Dean jumped out of bed and said.
"Are you going out again? Alone?" Harry asked in disbelief. He had never seen such a stubborn guy before.
"No way, I have to go." Dean shrugged.
"Can you do it alone? How about I go with you?" Ron was a little worried.
"No, maybe I need you to accompany me to visit someone in a few days, but not now." Dean also planned to use Ron's lucky star to find Rolf to draw a lottery.
Dumbledore also mentioned in the morning that the centaurs found him with the unconscious Rolf and he placed him properly. Therefore, besides Dumbledore, Rolf was controlled by the Imperius Curse. None of the other professors knew about it, and the centaurs were asked by Dumbledore to keep it secret.
As for Rolf himself, Dumbledore told him that he had been too exhausted recently, so he was in a trance and needed to rest in the school hospital for a while - Dumbledore also told Madam Pomfrey.
"Man, what's so important that you have to go now?" Seamus asked, hugging Dean.
"I left something in Snape's office." Dean moved Snape out. He concluded that no one had the courage to face Snape at this time.
Sure enough, everyone shrank when they heard Snape's name.
"Then don't worry. If you don't come back by bedtime, we will go find Professor McGonagall to save you." Seamus patted Dean's shoulder vigorously and said.
"Dean, I heard from grandma that there is a thing in the Muggle world that can guide the way. Maybe you should buy one," Neville reminded.
"Are you talking about the compass? I believe that thing can't do anything about the complicated roads of Hogwarts." After Dean finished speaking, he added in his mind: I'm not really a road addict.
"Neville, Dean is right, Hermione said that Muggle items will malfunction within Hogwarts," Harry said.
"You guys chat slowly, I'll be right back." Dean was ready to hurry up. If he stayed out tonight, his roommates would definitely find him.
"Wish you good luck~" Seamus blew a kiss to Dean.
