A sharp Hogwarts
Chapter 12 The flavorful magical world
Dalia woke up early the next morning.
The storm outside has passed and the cabin is filled with sunshine.
The flame in the fireplace finally went out, and there was still a little delicious smell of grilled sausages in the room, and there was still some cream in the cake box in the corner.
Dalia remembered that Dudley had wanted to lick the box clean, but was unable to do so after Vernon Dursley scolded him.
Not far away, the hill-like Hagrid was undulating steadily in a thin blanket.
On the collapsed sofa, Dudley was sleeping deeply, uttering a few unexplained murmurs in his sleep from time to time.
On the ground not far from Dudley, Harry closed his eyes tightly, and Hagrid's thick coat seemed to seal him to the ground.
"Phew, this is a dream, everything is still under control."
Dalia looked around, took a breath, and whispered to herself with certainty.
"The world line is still normal, Hagrid arrived as scheduled, Dudley didn't have a pig tail, and she and Harry were allowed to enter school."
"As for chefs, gourmet food, magic kitchen utensils...those, well, must be the result of dreams! Yes, that must be the case!"
Dalia comforted herself and tried her best to ignore the dark red boning knife lying flat on Hagrid's right hand.
What magic weapon, what food magic, it must be an April Fool's Day joke...
The world line deviation can't be that big, she didn't hear anything last night.
Snapped.Snapped.Snapped.
Suddenly there was a rhythmic flapping sound outside the window.
She looked up and saw an owl tapping its talons on the window with a newspaper in its mouth.
This was the first time she had seen the owl messenger in the magical world with her own eyes. Dalia temporarily stopped muttering in her heart.
She walked straight to the window and pushed it open. The owl flew in and dropped the newspaper on Hagrid. However, Hagrid did not wake up. Instead, Harry, who was sleeping next to the sofa, got up in a daze. While rubbing his eyes, he watched the owl, which was no bigger than Hagrid's fist, jumping up and down and scratching. Pulling on Hagrid's heavy coat.
"Dalia, Hagrid!" Harry shouted in surprise, "Look, there's an owl in the house -"
"Pay it -" Hagrid grunted from the corner.
"what?"
"It's looking for postage, Harry. Look in your coat pocket."
Dalia picked up the newspaper that rolled to the ground, glanced at Harry who was rummaging through his pockets, and added casually.
"The postage is five knuts, that copper coin—just count five and throw them to the owl."
As she spoke, she unfolded the newspaper in her hand with interest.
"Well, the Daily Prophet - well, I hope it can be more nutritious than the BBC."
Dalia quickly glanced at the bold, large, and bold name at the top of the newspaper and raised her eyebrows disapprovingly.
Just like most non-magical newspapers, the layout, format, and reading methods do not exceed the scope of conventional paper media.
The only difference may be that most of the pictures on the Daily Prophet are in the "GIF" format.
as well as……
Ah, Ah sneeze——
As Dalia spread the newspaper completely, a strong stream of spicy air suddenly rushed out.
Hot and spicy warmth instantly filled Dalia's surroundings, like a flame-like heat lingering between her mouth and nose.
She seemed to have breathed in balls of fire, sweat and tears poured out almost at the same time, and the originally cool morning suddenly turned into a summer noon.
"This, what is this...what..."
Dalia coughed and squinted her eyes to make out the writing on the newspaper in her hand.
"Albus Dumbledore's [Dragon Blood Conjecture-06] was verified successfully!"
"The International Federation of Wizards predicts that the accompanying spell of [Hot Dragon's Nest-06] will set a new record for the highest temperature of fire magic!"
In the center of the front page of the Daily Prophet, an old wizard with a long silver beard was elegantly untying the white apron around his waist.
Dark red dragon's blood soup can be vaguely seen in the picture, as well as peppers scattered around. The old wizard solemnly picked up the bowl of soup and drank it all.
The next moment, endless flames poured out from the bottom of the empty soup bowl, mixed with the hot and pungent smell of fire, and rushed towards the reality outside the screen.
"...I probably haven't woken up yet. This dream is so outrageous."
Dalia put down the newspaper in her hand expressionlessly and said calmly like self-hypnosis.
"How could Dumbledore know how to cook? How could Dumbledore study dragon blood for the purpose of eating..."
"Oh! Professor Dumbledore finally succeeded! I knew it!"
Before Dalia could finish speaking, a rough voice like thunder suddenly exploded in her ears.
Hagrid hurriedly picked up the newspaper and flipped it through. He held the newspaper in front of his face with both hands and took a deep breath.
"Ku, cough, cough, cough - it's really amazing, Professor Dumbledore! This [Fiery Dragon's Nest] is much more powerful than the dragon flames of the black dragon of the Hesidian Islands!"
The small patch of skin that was exposed outside Hagrid's tangled beard quickly turned red.
He coughed violently and clicked his tongue excitedly.
"What was that? Hagrid, did you bake something again?"
Harry, who had just dismissed the owl, turned his head, sniffed slightly, and asked curiously.
"No, this is the magic food release of the Daily Prophet——"
Hagrid rolled up the newspaper in his hand and waved it several times with great enthusiasm.
"Professor Dumbledore has developed a new magic dish, and those who doubt it will have their faces swollen!"
"Didn't I say before that Professor Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard in the wizarding world today - bar none."
"In fact, the effect presented by the newspaper is estimated to be less than one-tenth of the actual effect. I am really curious about what the companion spell looks like."
"Uh... companion spell? Magic food? These and magic——"
Harry blinked and tried to search for knowledge in his mind.
He vaguely heard Hagrid introduce it last night, but it was very late at that time, and everyone went to bed without talking for a few words.
"Oh, the wizard cooks specific magical dishes, and after digesting and absorbing them, he can master the accompanying spell..."
Hagrid waved his hand and began to put on his boots with some difficulty while explaining.
"But don't worry, the professors will still teach you when you get to Hogwarts. Just remember that all of this is magic."
"We'd better leave early. There's a lot to do today. We have to go to London to buy you all the things you need for school-"
At this moment, the Dursleys had finished packing, opened the door and entered the main hall of the Reef Cottage.
"Sorry, sir - it's not us. Your delivery work is over."
Petunia Dursley said, glancing at her husband, raising her brows and continuing.
"Vernon and I have discussed that we will go to the bank to withdraw some money later, and then go to London to buy school supplies for the two children."
"Don't worry, I also accompanied Lily to Diagon Alley to buy things there. I know how to get there. You can go back first..."
"Well, but...I'm afraid Harry will have to follow me today."
Hagrid stood up and scratched his head, patted Harry's shoulder gently with a big hand, and said with a smile.
"I will also take him to the Potter family's vault. There are also banks in the wizarding world... You don't have to worry about Harry's tuition and school supplies."
"Of course, in fact, no matter what, I have to go to Gringotts in Diagon Alley, and I have to do something for Dumbledore -"
As Hagrid spoke, he puffed up his chest proudly, lowered his head and winked at Harry.
"He always asks me to do important things, such as picking you up, going to Gringotts to pick up things, or making sure that you have all the supplies for school properly prepared..."
"As for you...Dursley."
Hagrid raised his head and looked at Mr. Dursley, snorting from his nose.
"I know very well how you usually treat Harry. Harry's parents left him enough gold with the goblins in Gringotts. That's gold you can't even imagine. Don't worry - don't think that I I don’t know what you, a stingy man, have in mind.”
"The wizarding world has no use for your Muggle world money."
"I suspect that if you are asked to accompany Harry, you won't even be willing to buy second-hand textbooks."
"What did you say?! That's nonsense!"
Vernon's face instantly turned as red as a pig's liver, and he glared at Hagrid menacingly.
However, before he could say anything else, Mrs. Dursley nodded quickly and responded.
"Of course this is the best. Then Harry will follow you - Vernon, why don't you stay at home with Dudley first."
She looked thoughtfully at her fuming husband beside her and Dudley, who opened his eyes in a daze.
Compared to Dalia and her, her husband and son's ability to adapt and accept magic is still weaker.
If the whole family followed in large numbers, they might cause some extra trouble.
You know, there are too many dangerous things in a magical shopping street like Diagon Alley.
Of course more importantly...
Lily and Potter gave Harry a vault in the wizarding world? !
Petunia glanced back and forth from Dahlia and Harry, her brows raised slightly.
No matter what, the things her daughter can buy for school must be better than what Lily’s son can buy!
The storm outside has passed and the cabin is filled with sunshine.
