The Lonely Dragon of Hogwarts

Chapter 2 The Mysterious Guest at the Grand Ceremony

Hearing the nun's call, John nodded and said loudly to the busy teenagers:

"Everyone, please work harder and check your appearance after cleaning up the place! The grand ceremony is the most important ceremony of St. Brelade's Church every month. We must show off the style of our St. Brelade's Choir, and also So that your parents can be proud of you!"

The teenagers who were working heard the words and responded loudly.

Some thoughtful people even came forward and patted John on the shoulder to express comfort.

They all knew that John was the only orphan in St. Brelade's choir and the only child in the entire St. Brelade's church.

But John didn't care much about this. He smiled shyly at everyone and then trotted to the nun.

"Good morning, Sister, and Mr. Oliver!"

With the arrival of John, the awkward mood between Mr. Oliver and the nun because of Graal disappeared.

It was like a ray of sunshine piercing the darkness.

Mr. Oliver's face was instantly filled with aunt's smile, and the nun's frown relaxed.

"Hello to you, John."

Mr. Oliver rubbed John's dry and fluffy hair and said happily.

The nun squatted down, looked at John's level and said:

"John, tell me honestly, have you had any conflicts with Graal recently?"

A look of helplessness appeared on Mr. Oliver's face.

The nun is good at everything, but a little too rigid and rigorous.

In his opinion, this was just a simple frame-up, but the nun wanted to call John to investigate to the end.

But he couldn't say much. After all, the nuns and priests were the managers of Galenna Orphanage, and the nun was only performing her duties.

When John heard this, he glanced in the direction where Graal had left before and said with a smile:

"Did Graal say bad things about me again? It's not surprising. After all, we have been enemies for a long time because of Michelle's incident."

"Michelle?"

Oliver said subconsciously, and the bright golden smile of a blond girl instinctively appeared in his mind, "Glall also had conflicts with Michelle?"

The nun was silent for a while and then replied:

"Yes, Michelle wounded Greer's brother, Greer, just a few months ago."

"How is this possible?" Mr. Oliver asked in disbelief. "Michelle is also a good child. There is no way she would do such a thing. And...Michelle has just turned 11 years old, right? She can hurt someone. Adult?"

John said neither humble nor haughty:

"In fact, Michelle did do this, but I don't think there is anything wrong in what she did. Because it was Greer who first said Michelle was a witch and wanted to hurt her!"

Mr. Oliver took a breath and said:

"It's almost the 21st century, why do people still believe in witch hunting? This is too much, it is simply an act of the devil! Their brothers are just like Judas and Cain!"

The nun gave Mr. Oliver a complicated look, and then said to John again:

"Then how did he hate you?"

"Because Graal wanted to avenge his brother and continued to cause trouble for Michelle, but I stopped him."

After hearing what John said, the nun finally couldn't help it anymore and scolded in a low voice:

"How could he do that? The mediation has obviously ended, and his brother has received satisfactory compensation!"

"That's what evil people are like, greedy and never satisfied!"

Mr. Oliver said angrily, "Faced with such a guy, Sister, I think you still need to punish them to ensure that they don't go astray!"

The nun took a deep breath and said:

"Don't worry, I will solve this problem."

Mr. Oliver nodded with satisfaction, smiled, stuffed an oil paper bag into John's arms and said:

"Take it back and share it with your companions."

"Thank you, Mr. Oliver."

"Hey! You're welcome, be good!"

Mr. Oliver rubbed John's head again and said happily.

John also smiled and put away the oil paper bag, and then the nun pulled John over again.

She closed her eyes, pressed her forehead against John's, and prayed devoutly:

"Thank God for bringing you to me."

John closed his eyes in cooperation, and Mr. Oliver on the side made the sign of the Holy Cross again with joy when he saw this.

The nun's prayer lasted only a short moment.

Soon John returned to the team and began to direct everyone to organize and decorate the church.

Their work went very quickly, and the small church really didn't have much space to decorate.

When everything was ready, the white-haired pastor with a kind face led a group of believers into the church.

Like John and other choir members, the old priest also changed into a set of gorgeous gold and white cassocks, looking even more majestic than the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The clothes of the believers appear to be various.

A large part of the believers were wearing baggy cheap formal clothes or work clothes, and they looked as if they had just finished work.

The wealthier ones, like Mr. Oliver, wore neat white shirts.

In addition, there were a small number of people dressed in luxurious classical attire, with masks of various shapes on their faces. They looked more like they were attending a masquerade than attending a church service.

The weirdest thing is that these mysterious visitors are all very 'petite'.

Just a dwarf.

Frankly speaking, such a person has little to do with devout believers anyway, and should not appear in such a small, even somewhat dilapidated church.

But none of the islanders, including Mr. Oliver, felt anything was wrong.

Because the core purpose of St. Brelade's Church holding major liturgies every once in a while is to raise funds for the expansion of St. Brelade's Church, which has been in disrepair.

This requires a lot of money. According to the plan given by the pastor, a solid gold cross will be made in St. Brelade's Church!

Among the many believers at the scene, only these mysterious visitors who were gorgeously dressed and said to be from the other side of France had enough financial resources.

So even though these mysterious visitors behave so abnormally and can even be said to be very arrogant, the islanders still highly respect them.

The only thing that made Oliver and other islanders a little curious was how Mr. Pastor found so many rich dwarfs and persuaded them to donate money.

Unfortunately, the pastor obviously didn't know how to answer their questions.

After the last mysterious guest took his seat, the priest quickly began the ceremony.

The choir began to sing solemnly under the command of John. The priests and believers also closed their eyes devoutly and clasped their hands on their chests in prayer.

Only the mysterious visitors were unmoved at the scene. They were talking to each other in low voices and laughing evilly from time to time.

Finally, the hymn ended.

The mysterious visitors, led by the nuns, eagerly gathered around the priest and began to chatter. While talking, they looked toward the backyard of the church.

And John knew that there were more than ten homeless people taken in by St. Brelade's Church waiting for them in the backyard of the church.

After a while of pleasantries ended, the mysterious visitors walked to the backyard of the church minding their own business.

Not many people present cared about them.

Because the believers are interacting with the children in the choir.

The performance of these children just now conquered everyone present, especially the children's parents, who were almost moved to tears.

The children enjoyed the cheers and applause of everyone present.

And John's forehead was already covered with a thin layer of cold sweat.

His eyes were fixed on the retreating figures of the mysterious visitors, and every scar on his body began to feel severe pain.

The pain gradually spread and eventually spread to every inch of his flesh and bones.

A picture kept flashing in his mind.

These painful feelings that were as real as personal experience made him want to go crazy!
