Well, the other party asked me if I could make a prop, and I said send it to me so I can take a look first, and then he sent a picture of Grell from Black Butler, and he wanted to make the chainsaw of the Grim Reaper's Scythe.

Then I took a look at it and asked him whether I needed an electric one that could rotate or just a simple one. He said just the shape would be fine and there was no need to install a motor or a chain or anything like that inside.

I said that as long as the appearance was the same, I could make it. And since it was my first order, I had some confidence in my craftsmanship, so I didn't ask for too high a price. I only received a deposit of 70 yuan. The full price should be around 140 yuan, because I spent some money on materials later.

Then I took an order and have been busy with it recently. Although it is relatively simple as long as the appearance is concerned, the appearance alone is actually enough to give me a headache.

After all, it's okay to paint a large area, but there are a lot of details that need to be processed. And some places can't be painted with spray paint.

Because some of the spray paints on the market now have poor colors, if you want to use it for a long time and make it look more refined, you can only rely on hand-painted coloring.

Then I have been busy mixing colors during this period, and coloring cannot be completed in one go. I have to apply part of it and put it aside to dry. Then the next day, after confirming that the paint is dry, I will repeat the coloring. Basically, one place has to be painted several times, so it is a delicate job.

To be honest, it’s been almost half a month since I took this order, and I still haven’t finished it.

After deducting costs and other things, I earned less than 70 yuan a month.

I feel very happy when I open a business, but then I realize that I didn’t earn as much as I spent, which makes me feel both excited and fucked up.

But it's a good thing after all. Anyway, we mainly accept some simple weapon appearance customization, such as knives, guns, sticks, etc., mainly swords.

Although I don't make much, the production is fast now. For example, this chainsaw is for me to try something new, and on the other hand, I may play Leatherface in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" in the future.

Therefore, if you don't consider buying an external electric saw, it is not impossible to use this experience to accumulate some experience and make yourself a better one in the future.

And after this experience, if the electric saw of the person who asked me to customize it breaks down in the future, I can repair it or make him a better one.

And recently I have also been considering whether to make some weapon props from Genshin Impact, including proportional or small ones that can be used as key pendants, car pendants, bag pendants, etc.

But I feel like I don’t have time. January is almost here, and I haven’t made my own Zhang Fei costume yet. I guess after I finish making this prop, I won’t take any orders anymore. I’ll focus on making my own Zhang Fei props first.

Then there will be no comic conventions between January and May, and at that time I can calm down and do something to make money.
